“I called both of my US Senators this morning (Dole & Burr) to request that they introduce a Resolution of Censure against former President Jimmy Carter. Including his term in office, but mostly after, Carter has a history of actions intended to undermine and destroy the United States of America. His meeting this week with Hamas should be the last straw for those who believe in this nation.”

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, and Senators Bunning and McConnell can expect to hear from me today on this censure issue. I hope the rest of you MM readers will do the same and contact your Senators.

It has been policy to not negotiate with terrorist organizations for some time now. This visit undermines the President’s and Congress’ (the people’s) approach to foreign policy.

I urge you, therefore, to support a movement to censure President Carter for this breach in protocal.

Jimmy Carter has only three places in the world where he is welcome: Teheran, Damascus and Brandeis University. The most enthusiastic welcome that Carter will ever have received is from the spoiled students at the Brandeis campus in Waltham, Ma. At Brandeis, Carter was treated to rapturous applause when he denounced Israel. The students at Brandeis got even more jiggy when Carter denounced Alan Dershowitz. I suspect that the spoiled Brandeis students were acting out some kind of prepubescent rebellion against their parents. But I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised at the wildly euphoric applause Carter received at Brandeis.
Every faculty member at Brandeis is a liberal baby boomer.

Gay/Patriot Bruce hit the nail on the head. I hope we all follow his lead and contact our senators. This dunderheaded, jew-hating, moron is the Father of Islamic Terrorism. If he had either brains or gonads, he would have handled the ayatollah as an American President, not as the self-loathing, smug, anti-semite that we see him to be.

I am still recovering from dental problems from 5 years ago when I had to grind my teeth down to the gums to keep from responding to an idiot that called him the most under-rated president. Aside from that being impossible (there is no way to undervalue his contributions to the Presidency), it was said with the same smugness that we hear from Mr. Peanut of Plains, GA. Carter nearly made me ashamed to be an American with his “fireside chats” telling us what is wrong with us, suggesting we deserve whatever bad things happen to us. The estate of Mr. Rogers should sue him for devaluing the trademark sweater that made Mr. Rogers approachable and trustworthy. Maybe that’s why so many people fell for his line!???!

The person I was “campaigning” for then, owes me big time! I have to take a shower now, just remembering it.

It is blatantly clear, now more than ever, that Carter is nothing more than a shill for islamists and terrorists.
While the state department voraciously objects to this meeting, Carter does what he does, which usually amounts to standing in the way of the country that pays him for his failed presidency and the economic destruction that Carter brought about.
Now, like during the Iran crisis of the 70′s, Carter takes sides with the terrorists against the wills of his home country and the country he seeks to destroy.
There is no greater enemy to the jewish people than Jimmy Carter. All smiles and pretend moral authority, it is a wonderfully protected secret that much of Carter’s life has been funded by terrorists or countries that sponsor terrorism. Carter is a liar and a fraud. His actions are harmful, treasonous, and dangerous. Censure Carter? How about imprison Carter?
The logan act applies. Sadly, many on the left side of the aisle are more than happy to fight any disciplinary action against any loudmouthed democrat.
What a world we live in! Former Presidents who allowed American hostages to sit in captivity for a year is somehow a legitimate ‘negotiator’ for peace.
Tell you what, Carter, return a portion of your peanut farm to the american indians displaced by our great nation, then you can talk. Stop taking terrorists money and THEN you can negotiate peace.

Right for Israel, wrong for America: Truman, JFK, Bush, neoconservatives, Christian Zionists.

Right on Israel, right for America: Roosevelt, Carter, Pat Buchanan, George Washington.

How prescient is this from Washinton’s farewell address?:

So likewise, a passionate attachment of one Nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest, in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite Nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the Nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained; and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens, (who devote themselves to the favorite nation,) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.

If people in Congress don’t criticize Carter, it may be telling us something about what they themselves are planning to do down the road, especially if the Dems win, but possibly even with a McCain victory, try in some way to appease Hamas.

The Logan Act needs to be updated, the basic point is that only the Executive negotiates with foreign “powers”, state or no.

Ex-president J. Carter is a powerful example of why. The Logan Act needs to be enforced. At the very least, Carter’s passport needs to be revoked, permanently.

I am so disgusted with the rantings of the liberals and the traitorous behavior of Carter, Pelosi and others. We are watching the HBO movie “John Adams” based on David McCullough’s book, and the birth of our country is fascinating history. We all need to be reminded of how our country came to be and of the sacrifices that were made by each of the founding fathers and their families.
Of course, it would be meaningless to the left.

This is a desperate man trying very hard to establish some sort of legacy other than a failed presidency. First, his house-building, then his vote-watching and now, trying to be peacemaker. He hopes that history will remember him for something other than being a peanut farmer and former president. History won’t remember him as an naval officer. I remember being on his inaugural staff (as a volunteer) and seeing him, in my final days as a moonbat. Thanks to him, I fled the democrats, became a conservative, never to return to liberalism/socialism.

I’m just glad his term came to an end. Just another reason for me to like Ronald Wilson Reagan. Wait! Should I use his middle name? Is that politically incorrect in this day and time (i.e. campaign season)? ;-)

Oh well, we can blame Israel for kidnapping Americans and slaughtering Olympic athletes… Oh wait…

And after all Hamas has shared intelligence in the region, and we’ve benefitted from their technology and innovation. And Hamas has made concessions to no movement from the other side. No, wait, dangit, that was Israel

Why aren’t Israel’s interests and ours the same again?

Former President Jimmy Carter should be the first American citizen of the 21st Century to become “A Man Without A Country”! He was in Iran to “watch” over and “approve” the Iranian “political process” that put a dictator in power! He was the person who “approved” and “declared valid” the election of dictator Ven’s Hugo Chavez in South America. He is a bitter, anti-semitic, shameful, critic of America who has undermined the USA, as well as endangered Americans, throughout the World wherever our enemies, or the mis-informed, will give him a stage! Carter seems bent on smearing our Country for criticizing his abysmal, nightmarish, “worst in history” term as POTUSA! jb
