I just put up a story about the MSM blackout of the Newsom/Christian murders.

I showed how Google News searching this as compared to the Duke rape case, or searching Google News for Both Rodney King & Reginald Denny, yield disgustingly different results.

“I was thinking the same thing? Why is it going to take until “next year” to have the other trials?”

It’s not as if the Legal System deliberately tortures the victims families, there is just no other way of making money with this thing. During this year thousands of billable hours of “research” will be done. As if this was the first murder to ever go to trial. Hundreds of briefs will be filed and carted from one legal building to another. It is just a shame that victims and family are dishonored with this processes but it is necessary. Ask any legal authority and you will get a long winded explanation….and we will all say ….” Oh Right, I guess it has to be that way…This will continue until some point…..possibly where it will take 10 more years to get to trial…perhaps We the People will remember that WE empower this system and it is up to us to make it administer JUSTICE.
Who was it that said…Justice delayed is Justice denied ….that is the Truth.

Hate crimes where the real victims were ignored by the msm, and the wolves were given a free pass because it didn't fit a useful pc-crime for the msm.

Following a case is one thing but if it was not for Michelle and others this “local” case would have never got beyond being “local”.

That's simply not true. Try Google Newsing any of the people involved and you'll get numerous articles regarding this case from a variety of sources. Local news doesn't exist anymore for those willing to seek it out, and it's not that difficult of a search.

However, most users chose not to do that. Most users only care about the case because it's convenient for them to. Do you truly believe that if Michelle Malkin didn't post this, most users would have known about it's outcome, despite the fact that there were news articles written about it? No, they wouldn't have because they truly don't care about this case or the people involved any more than they can use it to further their own anti-MSN or anti-black comments.

There are numerous comments talking about how "outraged" a commenter is about the case, and thanking Michelle for updating them on it, but how outraged can a person really be if they didn't bother to follow up? Isn't this the same as the criticism leveled at Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? 'They only comment when the case is popular, but once it's not, you never hear anything from them?'

There's such an over-dependence on people being told what to care about. Yes, the MSN does it, and the main stream blogs do it too. This is just one of the many prime examples.

(By the way, another man was kicked off a plane for praying. Since Michelle has often run praying-in-plane pieces before, I thought I'd might add one:

Good news.
I remember first reading about this story on this site last year. I consider myself a fairly level-headed person in general; one more prone to logic than emotion. That being said, I remember being seized with a very memorable sense of anger and outrage, both at the crime itself and the total ignoring of it by the trash-guzzling major media.
Anyway these scum lost their right to call themselves humans or even animals in my eyes. I hope this punk becomes real cozy with the other prisoners, and I hope the rest fry. I won't say anything more here as it would become descriptive.

I agree with Michelle that if this were a politically useful crime, the MSM would be all over it. However, I also agree with danceswithdachshunds that our community and the families don't need that.

We'll let the process play out, but if justice is not done in the courtroom in the remaining four trials, you will see a whole lot of pushback here in East Tennessee! May God's grace and peace be on the Newsom and Christian families.
