How dare the ABC moderators ask questions about topics that are, you know, topical?
How dare they ask questions that–gasp!–conservatives are asking.
How dare they explore questions of character, truthfulness, and judgment?
Don’t you know you’re supposed to do the Schoolmarm thing or the Suck-Up thing or the Bogus Plant thing?
Don’t you know you’re supposed to just let the candidates bloviate about Compassion or Global Warming or Diversity or some other MSM-designated Important Issue?
Don’t you know you’re supposed to ask the same, old, recycled softball questions in order to allow the candidates to recite the same, old, recycled answers about their health plans, their housing plans, their Iraq withdrawal plans?
Why, this just proves the MSM is in cahoots with Fox News! (Or “Fix News,” as the pastor who shall not be named likes to call it.)

McCain won the debate by not being there.
The moderators did an excellent job by actually asking tough and fair questions.
Sadly, Osama Bin Laden won this debate by not being important enough to mention.
The democrats are pathetic, and thankfully they keep wanting to display that loudly and proudly.
The flaming feminist and the cold post racialist gasbag fought to a draw only their mothers could love.

I know this is off-topic, but can someone tell me what is going on with Brigitte Bardot in Paris. She is on trial for ‘inciting racial hatred’. The only quotes of hers mentioned seem to be from an afternoon special. Is this a real story? Are the French so screwed up that you can be fined/punished for such as this?
If it’s true I now understand why they are constantly saying, “America sucks;” it’s are they are allowed to say…
I’ve got an idea for a picture or photoshop buyt I am a terrible artist. I thin k hillary and hussein are tow ends of the same snake. Can some one draw something like that – hilliarys head on one end and husseins on the other attacking each other?
I am curious to see whether or not SNL will be objective with their satire. This weekend, they should show “Obama” getting pummeled with aggressive followups by moderaters(George and Charles) in Hillary cheerleader outfits, while Hillary gets away with saying all of her lies are the result of sleep deprivation, and downs shots of whiskey with beer chasers during the debate.
The real Obama should be invited to the show. This all assumes SNL is all about even-handed political satire.

On the phront page of Philly.com is a link to Daily News writer Will Bunch’s rant hissy-fit about the debate.
He has a real smoking gun where George Stephanopoulos (sp?) was on Sean Hannity’s radio show yesterday and said he was “taking notes” on Obama’s association with Weather Underground member Bill Ayers.
The keyword is “divisive”. All the lefties are accusing ABC of being “divisive” and asking “divisive” questions, which is a word Obama frequently uses.
The annoying thing about this is, if they didn’t have controversial views (which probably adheres to the mainstream media’s leftist doctrine), why worry about it?
Just caught a clip on the tube – Obama is now crying to his supporters. Picking on the poor guy!
Imagine, a man with no relevant experience to speak of and no record of performance having to justify his own words! Imagine people not giving their trust blindly to such a person!
Does he not understand that he is asking the American people to trust him with the highest office in the land? And does he not also understand that in the absence of any record or experience to go by, that people will actually look at his character, credibility and integrity to assure themselves that he is not only capable of doing what he says he can do but that he will also be good to his word?
Good grief! For any real job in America you have to have a track record or at least have the background and training to demonstrate some real potential just to get hired. And there are no 4 year contracts for the vast majority of folks out there – if you don’t perform as represented or as expected, you are gone in a heartbeat.
He really is incapable to relating to “common folk”. He expects something that in return for nothing. He expects blind trust where it has not been earned. And when his expectations are imparied, he throws the adult equivalent of a tantrum. Blame the world! Blame the bullies! Blame the bitter rubes! And go crying to mamma.

It is only the Modern Day American Democratic Party that can take something like the 2008 Election, an election which admittedly the Democrats should have been able to just waltz right into the White House after 7 years of Liberal lies about the economy, of how everything that has gone wrong in the entire Galaxy since the Big Bang/God Sneezed has been all traceable to G.W. Bush, and everything else they have done to poison the minds of potential new voters that would be voting this year…
A year when the GOP could not get their act together and get a viable, Conservative candidate that could appeal to the people AND want to put up with the vile, loathesome and yes, criminal way they are treated by special interests (you know…Kossies and the like) in having their every last move scrutinized since they were weaned…
Only the DNC, thanks to their own Liberal friends and neighbors, could SCREW IT UP and basically hand the Presidency to McCain…the guy who NO ONE would have thought would be in the catbird seat at this moment.
It is just so laughable at this point. McCain does not need to do anything. These two…the Empty Suited False Messiah and the Cuckolded Carpetbagger make his campaign for him every time they open their mouths. Once the DNC is over, all McCain need do, if he has a brain at all in that skull, is to pick Rice as his running mate, eliminating the cries of racism and sexism from the Dems, and to parrot every single thing the Dems have said ABOUT THEMSELVES!!
It is beautiful It has taken an election season that I had been dreading, had not been excited about in the least and has turned it into something Barnum and Bailey, Ripley, and Walt Disney combined could not make any more entertaining to watch.

I found the ABC debate very informative. My suspicions about Obama were confirmed.
Obama associates with weathermen terrorist.
Obama’s pastor is anti American and is a racist.
Obama’s wife despises America.
Obama’s church is un-American and preaches hate.
Obam is not patriotic.
Obama wants to take away my guns.
Obama wants to raise my taxes.
Obama wants to reward illegal aliens with amnesty.
Obama wants to take away what little wealth I have and redistribute to those who refuse to work for it.
Obama refuse to wear the American flag lapel pin and says those who do aren’t true patriots.
Obama wants to surrender and admit defeat in Iraq and cut and run.

ABC gave Hillary an easier time because Obama has more serious character questions to answer than Hillary. I liked the part when Gibson told BO that whenever capital gains tax rates are raised, revenues go down and vice versa.
BO responded that he didn’t care if revenues would go down, he would raise rates as an act of “fairness” so the “fat cat” hedge funders would have to pay at a rate equal to their secretaries.
Liberal conundrum — which is better:
raise tax rates to be “fair” even if it means the government will have less revenue to piss away on stupid boondoggles
OR
keep the rates as is to keep the money rolling in so more and more people can get a free lunch (that someone else is paying for), and risk being perceived as unfair (Oh, The Horror!)?

What kind of “proof” do you need? It has already been established that
1) Rev. Wright’s talks are frequently racist.
2) The church is black supremacist. If it was a white church espousing such beliefs, they’d be arrested by now.
3) Barack Obama claims to have been in the church for 20 years.
4) 20 years of 52 weeks means 1040 sundays, and that means 1040 church services at the very least (assuming no midweek groups, etc).
5) Those views aren’t held by Rev. Wright alone. Listen to the tapes. Notice that he is always greeted by applause and cheers, not gasps of horror.
Given all that, you still believe that Barack Obama could go to over a thousand church services, mingle with the congregation who appear to support Rev. Wright, listen to the sermons coming from the pulpit, count the Rev as a personal friend, and yet still be unaware of what exactly goes on in the church?
I find it unlikely that you are unable to think logically and come to what is the most logical conclusion, ergo you must be a troll egging us on. Does he, and his handlers, really siting around in their hotel rooms thinking that people are really stupid enough to buy into the lies he is telling about the entire incident…that he not only never heard any of those sermons and rants, but was also never made aware of them, and that in the private discussions he has had with the Pastor of his church, who he has considered to be a very, close personal family friend, that never, not once did any of this “Man of God’s” ersonal convictions come up or out in conversation, and that it was just something he let slip a couple of times in the heat of an impassioned, coffee fueled sermon?

If any one of these rookies ever wins the WH, be prepared for a Reid/Pelosi/Kennedy adminstration. It’s obvious, not having any experience, both will rely on those people to advise and run the Presidency, especially during the “honeymoon”.
