A Blame America bonanza: Bill Moyers to “interview” Jeremiah Wright
I put “interview” in quotation marks, because this is guaranteed to be more of an echo chamber than anything else. Via PR Newswire:
Bill Moyers Journal to Air First Television Interview With Reverend Jeremiah Wright Since Controversy
NEW YORK, April 21 /PRNewswire/ — The Reverend Jeremiah Wright will be interviewed on PBS this week by Bill Moyers in his first broadcast interview with a journalist since he became embroiled in a controversy for his remarks and his relationship with Barack Obama.
Wright, who retired in early 2008 as pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, where Senator Obama is a member, has been at the center of controversy for comments he made during sermons, which surfaced in the press in March.
The interview with Bill Moyers will air on Bill Moyers Journal on Friday, April 25 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings at www.pbs.org/moyers).

Jeremiah Wright is a better American than Dick Cheney. Wright served his country in uniform while Cheney had other priorities. Wright made a career of serving his community (soup kitchens, youth groups, aids clinics) while Cheney, well, you know what I think about his career.
Moyers would make an excellent chief of staff for Wright. I think I’ll avoid a sever case of nausea and miss those two.
Who is he (Wright) serving now lgm? It was never God that’s for certain. But continue with your devil worshipping.

Here are the questions that Reverend Wright should ask to Mr. Moyers:
Mr. Moyers, When you were arrested for drunk driving in Vermont, did you ever think for even one minute about the children walking on the sidewalks or on the side of the road who might have been killed or maimed because of your drunk driving?
Mr. Moyers: Do you think that a car is just a toy for rich guys like you to drive around drunk on the roads of Vermont?
Mr. Moyers: Do you think that Vermont’s drunk driving laws somehow don’t apply to rich media guys like you? Do you think that Vermont’s drunk driving laws only apply to small town farmers in Vermont?
Mr. Moyers: Do you think that you are above the law? Since you complain about the “lawlessness” of conservatives, do you think you too have some obligation to obey the laws?
Do you think it is fair that being so wealthy, you could hire fancy criminal defense lawyers to minmize your punishment?
Finally, one comment to Mr. Moyers from me: As someone who has lost a relative to the drunk driving of somebody just as careless and unconcerned as you were when you flew around the roads in Vermont, I don’t think that your drunk driving is very funny. I bet you and your media friends had quite a few yuks about the hayseed cop in Vermont who arrested you.

I had a professor in college that used to make us watch a documentary hosted by Bill Moyers called Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell. My professor hung on every word of Moyers and kept professing how wonderful he was. *blech*

Even if that were true in fact, it is not true in perception. How can I say this?
B. Obama has distanced himself quite a ways from Mr. Wright in the hopes of attaining the White House. G. Bush attained the White House twice with D. Cheney at his side.

Will Moyer’s allow Wright to lay out exactly what Black Liberation Theology is? Typical white-wingers already know what type of Church Obama attended for 20 years. Everyday American’s still think Wright was just some angry black pastor that distorted the words of Christianity, and used them to spew hate. That is outrages on it’s on, but I would like the American people to see exactly what type of Religion that Obama has been entrenched in for two decades. The Liberation Theology links back to Ayers, “Communist” organizer, and all of Obama’s “Marxist” ties. Nevermind, I thought I was going to be doing the interview. I doubt Moyer’s will be able to make that point. I do wonder if Obama has set up Wright for a pitiful, tearful apoligy? I don’t think he can.

I love it when friends point to Bill Moyers as an example of why we need PBS – to do balanced, unbiased reporting and analysis. I have given up trying to straighten out their twisted minds. Glad to know that taxpayers are STILL footing the bill to the tune of over $175MM/year for this dreck.
