Jeremiah Wright is a better American than Dick Cheney. Wright served his country in uniform while Cheney had other priorities. Wright made a career of serving his community (soup kitchens, youth groups, aids clinics) while Cheney, well, you know what I think about his career.

Isn’t your side of the aisle supposed to hate the troops? All that American imperialism and stuff?

Yeah, I guess if you’re a liberal helping out the one Saturday of the month you weren’t wasted or woke in a stranger’s bed.

That’s what they do nowadays, you know. Do it once, and then go around say how you help others.

Cheney just got more people killed, and unlike Wright who enlisted, Cheney punked out of going to Vietnam.

I don’t get it–on one hand you say Cheney killed people, then you say he ‘punked out’ of going to Vietnam to kill people. What’s a guy to do?
