Jimmy Carter: Mailman for Hamas
Jimmy Carter is touting his Hamas-hugging accomplishments. The jihadi do-badders have generously allowed kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit to write a letter to his parents, which Carter has gallantly volunteered to deliver it. Shalit’s father responded appropriately by deriding Carter as a postman for Hamas.
What a tool.

The former president says many people in Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal, have selected Obama as their favorite.
“World opinion is strongly supportive of Obama, that’s all we hear,” he reiterated.

Jimmy Carter and William Ayers.
Quite a resounding pair of supporters.
Let’s call them the “mailmen underground”.
Congrats To B.Hussein Obama.
“The former president says many people in Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal, have selected Obama as their favorite. ”
Geez - are the dhims trying to let them vote, now, too?
Is Carter stopping at the Vatican on his way home?
(snort), is this guy for real?
Well whoopdeee-freakin-doo! What does this have to do with anything?
No wonder he got attacked by a rabbit….jeesh!
In an Absolut world Jimmy-I’m-a-disgrace-to-my-country Carter would be arrested for treason upon his return. I am old enough to remember the gas lines, 13% inflation, and the Iranian hostage “crisis” firsthand. IF B. Hussain has any chance he need to the Jimmy no thanks I do not want anything to do with you.
Please make him take his medication!! I am so comforted knowing that the people in Ghana, Nigeria, and Napal have selected Obama as their favorite. The last time I checked they can’t vote. Lets get some more Obama backers like this. Libocrat I like that.
The Cubans, North Koreans, Russians, and Chinese find B.Hussein sexy too.
Right Jimbo?
1) If Condi Rice hadn’t insisted on the Palestinian Territories holding elections when they were manifestly unready for them, then perhaps Hamas wouldn’t be the elected government of the territories. (”No one could have anticipated that Hamas would have won the elections.” Except everywhere else in the Arab world where elections were held and the Islamists won like in Algeria in ‘92).
2) Jimmy Carter consulted with the State Department before going and no one told him not to go.
3) Israel and Hamas have been meeting with Egyptian mediation for at least a month now. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/965810.html
If the Israeli government doesn’t see anything too wrong about meeting with Hamas to work things out, then we shouldn’t be frightened to meet Hamas either.
After all - not only did Reagan talk to the Soviet Union, he signed treaties with them, despite the fact that they tried to assassinate the Pope on his watch, they invaded Afghanistan and killed and displaced more than a third of the population, they shot down KAL 007. By your standards, Reagan was a tool of Communism.
Why is it that the ex presidents that are Democrats have to have their face plastered all over the place? Clinton, Carter, go away. We’re done with you.
This former President continues to set the bar lower and lower. There are so many firsts where he set the bar at zero and then lowered it.
There are two things I can truly thank him for and one is a snark.
1. During his term, my money orders were making 20+% (snark).
2. Habitat for Humanity. Even then, the “price” for the house you buy is so elevated you can never hope to sell it and get your money back. I am speaking from experience as my daughter applied and I talked her out of it.
Other than that, he is a total embarrassment.
WB feebz!
Gas rationing, mortgage rates at 18%, those were the days…
And we know how good they are at picking leaders, right? That’s why they’re superpowers.
Why not let them into the country too? Why just discriminate FOR the Mexicans?
My recollection of Carter
Billy Beer
1) Losing my chance to compete in the 1980 Olympic Games because Jimmy wanted to make a point about Afganistan.
2) 17% interest rates
3) Gas lines and rationing (remember only be allowed to get gas on odd or even days?
4) Gave the Panama Canal to the Panamanians who promptly stopped performing any maintanence so that now the Canal is barely operable.
5) Iranian Hostages
6) The Malaise Americans were suffering from when all it really was, was Carter and our do nothing Congress.
7) Rabbit attacks.
9) 13% inflation or why milk went from 85 cents a gallon to 2.50 a gallon during his term.
10) Not only allowing, but encouraging Frank Church and Congress to dismantle the CIA resulting in “you know what.”
jwm,
#8 was a mistake but made my day - ROFL!
Hamas is using Carter look their own personal hammer. They gave their response to his talks over the weekend with a suicide attack & by firing more missles at Israel. Someone should inform Peanut Brains that actions speak louder than words & those actions don’t look like a peace offering to me.
So Carter really thinks a group that has sworn to destroy isreal and still stands by that is REALLY going to stop attacking israel?
Thx - soap!
Whatever credibility this man did have (cough cough) has gone into the red.
Even fourteen of his human rights advisory staff left his organization after he published his last book (aka: POS).
Go ahead Jimmy, endorse Obama. Talk about the kiss of death!
To add to your list, don’t forget the farmer strikes that happened during his term. Anyone remember the “Tractor-cade” in Washington?
Worst president in modern history and he continues to prove how misguided and flat out wrong he is long after leaving office.
JWM - #7:
Ahh, two more for the list:
1 - Visiting Cuba to meet with Fidel.
2 - Visiting Venezuela to oversee “fair election process’” for Chavez.
Where are the killer rabbits when you really need ‘em?
He said he wasn’t trying to undermine anyone else’s authority? Then what, exactly, was he trying to do? He said he was going over there as just himself, then what did he think he was going to accomplish as just Jimmy Carter, citizen?
IMHO, he was too trying to undermine George Bush and Condi Rice.
The terrorist leaders always laugh at this old fool as he leaves the room. Hitler did the same thing to Neville Chamberlin, calling him”a little worm”. Appeasers never win anything! Several days ago someone on here mentioned the Logan Act. Well, is it time?
In November of 1980 I voted in my first election and have only missed several primaries since. I was so proud to cast my vote for Ronald Reagan, so the country could be rid of that disaster known as Jimmy Carter. The reason I believe Mr. Carter should butt out of foreign policy is because he was a disaster in foreign policy and just about everything else as President. He hasn’t figured out that his approach is a sign of weakness to the Islamofascists he is trying to court.
Mr. Reagan did talk with the Soviets and there is nothing wrong with talking to your opposition when you are the leader elected to do so. Mr. Reagan while talking to the Soviets he also was putting pressure on them. Examples of this are by funding the Afgan rebels and pushing them into an economic war they could not win and actually lost.
Mr Carter bungled every opportunity he had, because he would not back up his talk and rhetoric. The opposition saw this and seized upon it, which is why tthe hostages were held in Iran for over 450 days.Notice the day Reagan took office they were released. The reason why they were released is because the opposition feared and respected Mr. Reagan, because he backed up and meant what he said and the opposition knew it.
Long and short of it Mr. Carter should go back to Plains and tend to his peanuts and buidling houses. If he had any clout he could have had Mr. Shalit released.
Let us remember ex-President James Earl Carter. A man who never met an Arab he didn’t like. A true man of the world, Carter did his best work at ridiculing the US Military with Desert One, the unique, single attempt to solidify his place in the Arab world. Second only to William Jefferson Clinton for meaningless military operations, Carter is now reportedly signaling his support for Comrade B. H. Obama. Jimmy Carter, the Arab/Nazi/Socialist World salutes you for your unfailing efforts at mediocrity.
Is it too much to ask for one of these places to keep Jimmy Carter and not let him come back to this country? Please?!
Remind me again why he was elected? I don’t remember voting for him. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but that certainly wasn’t one of them!
Someone told Carter that he was a diplomat and he believes it, to our detriment.
There should be a law that expresidents that Do Not Have A Legacy, cannot try
to remake history after they are out of office. Give him back his hammer and let
him go back to building houses. The man was ineffectual in office and he is an
embarrassment, among other things, out of office. Sometimes I wonder if there
isn’t some senile dementia beginning in his brain. (Plus..he’s gotten really scary
looking!). What purpose does it serve to tell us who Africans support for our
president. None of their business!
Sorry Soap. I’ve got to correct you on this one. The market condidtions greatly affect the selling price of habitat homes. I’m not sure what it’s like in rural areas, but in urban areas such as Philly and New York, the homes typically become worth a lot more than they sold for. This is espcially true in New York, where they are actually have to deal with the issue of homeowners getting in to the program and selling their house only a few year later for a substantial profit. Site selection is key, as any responsible project manager won’t pick a location where they’re investing $150k into a house that will lose $50k of its value based on its location.
Sorry for the thread drift, but Jimmy’s already done enough damage to the program and my ex-boss would kill me of he new I wasn’t standing up for the program.
Can anybody explain to me why The U.N. recognizes Hamas as a free state, but they refuse to recognize Taiwan as a free state of their own???
The State Dept needs to revoke his passport while he’s still in the middle east. I’m all for having JC build houses for the Palestinians.
Carter is still pissed about not getting reelected. Four more years and he could have totally tanked the U.S. economy. Just a typical bitter white person.
Why is it always that when the Libocrats reach for “pie-in-the-sky” good old Uncle Sam ends up with egg on his face? Carter’s legacy was, is and always will be a JOKE!
taylork,
Habitat here:
You pay on one mortgage and they hold two others. The price they set may be a deterrent to sell but it is so over the market price, you may be lucky to sell your house and get your money back at any time.
Example (what we experienced): 2bed/1bath with no garage price tag is $148k. Nowhere in our area will you find a house like that near that price (and you would be lucky to find a house like this at all). If you did happen to find such a house, you could snap it on for under $70k. It may be, like you said, it is a rural thing.
I stand partly corrected.
Can we put Carter on the no-fly list in absentia?
I love the effort by calipygian to drag Reagan down to the level of Carter.
Moral equivalence - it is just for those who have drank the cool-aid.
Really, what do you have to do to be a traitor in/to the USA anymore? Hand deliver a mailbomb from Hamas to the President?
So which is it?
calipygian!!! ha!!
Beautiful Bottom, eh?
I must disagree with just about everyone here. Yes, Carter is a disgrace as a president and now as a former president. But let him continue to make a fool of himself and his party.
Soon enough, when Obama gets carters terrorist-endorsing hug, there will be plenty of e-mails flying about showing all the hugs Carter gives to Castro, Chavez, Nasser, and all the rest, with Obama mixed in.
It’ll never fly that way. McCain will consider himself luckier than a leprechaun if that happens.
Then, arrest and try him for treason.
As a retired “Bubblehead” I just can’t stand when people point out to me that Carter was a former Naval Officer and a submariner. It’s like saying Monica Lewinsky was a former Girl Scout.
Anyone who was in the military, particularly the USN, can tell you what an improvement it was to serve your country after Ronald Reagan took the helm.
Mr. Carter should confine himself to quarters.

Arrgghh!!
You beat me to it, feeb!!
One more thing:
Let’s not forget that Carter’s first action in office was to pardon all the deserters of Vietnam.
When you start with the bar on the ground, it takes a lot of work to lower it.
#42 - Granite, how the heck are ya?
Perhaps great minds just happen to think alike!!!
Good morning/afternoon to ya!
I would like to know the actual words he used. I suspect that numerous curses would have to be edited.
Carter thinks a pile of dung is an olive branch coming from these terrorists.
ACHefty … doesn’t that also mean we can thank him for President Billy Boy … since he was one of that group …
Doesn’t matter in my opinion. Although I agree that he seems he was told not to go. I wonder why they did not revoke his passport. He clearly needs to be censured.
Either way, not being told not to go is not the same as an endorsement. He is not a diplomat and should not be acting as such.
I’ve been unable at this point to find it, but at the time of the rabbit attack, cartoonist Jules Feiffer, no conservative he, drew one of Carter as Elmer Fudd screaming, “I’ll get you yet, you cwazy wabbit!” at the creature, which Feiffer used to symbolize stagflation, gas lines and hostages in Iran. In the last panel, Carter appeared on television all banged up and bruised saying, “My fewwow Amewicans, it’s the fault of the cwazy wabbit.”
LMAO
Milwaukee Mike
The Hamas leadership has already come out since Carter was there and said they have no intention of ever recognizing Israel …
Carter is a simpleton, is being used as a tool by these people and he doesn’t even have enough sense to realize it …
The original Mr. Peanut …
Does this country even recognize treason anymore?
Carter isn’t just a simpleton or just a tool. He is dangerous and, left unchecked, can cause a great deal of harm to this country. If no one will revoke his passport and leave him in the Middle East, then I hope someone will begin proceedings to censure him.
Hey #51 - This country doesn’t care about treason any more. We have a population that cares nothing about principals or Constitutional values.
These same people - knowing what Jimmy Carter was - voted for him anyway. Dittos for Bill Clinton. Dittos for Hillary and Obama. Exposing them for what they are has zero effect on what the voters do.
St. Jimmy has been on the wrong side of every issue for the last 30 years so I would encourage his open support for the Messiah - hopefully a speech at the convention as well.

Reagan didmeet with the Soviets, in 1985. This was after they finally had a leader that wouldn’t croak and afterReagan called them an evil empire, started a military build up, and sent Pershing missles to Europe. The lesson: you negotiate from a position of strength and not through the advice of washed up, dottering, simpleton failures.
From what I just read Hamas says 10 yr truce (wow don’t hurt yourself) if Israel gives back borders before 1967 war.
HHMMMM Israel will say what………..
I don’t think Israel would ever give anything to Hamas. I mean seriously - cutting deals with a terrorist group is not Israel’s style. And they shouldn’t.
Bruce, we didn’t really know what Jimmy Carter was when we voted for him the first time. Four years later, we knew and elected Reagan. This is why ABC performed a great service last week in unmasking the International Man of Mystery at the debate.
No. But we ought to.
Hang in there Mr. Shalit.
Soap (#51) You took the words right out of my mouth!!!
I congratulate Mr. Shalit on his clear thinking.
I am waiting for any of the candidates to denounce this further example of bad behavior on the part of the continuing disaster of J. Carter’s presidency.
He wont meet with al queda because there is “no redeeming features” to them, yet he meets with Hamas, whose redeeming features areeeeeeeeeeeeee……what??? This vain self-important moron is running his own private foreign policy. He fails to realize that in the shadow world of terror groups such as Hamas, and the demented world of Muslim fanatics, meeting with a former President of the US, is per se, giving legitamcy to those groups. I wish this fool would get in his rocking chair and stay put. He is not a part of the US government anymore.
No redeeming value of Al Queada but evidently Hamas. Can’t this man be arrested even if it’s a civilian arrest for SOMETHING…. treason, sedition, fraud anything?
#44 feebiebabe:
Doin’ fine, thanks.
Regards to you.
Logan Act, anyone?
According to Carter:
1. Hamas has redeeming qualities, Al Qaeda doesn’t. (Maybe Al Qaeda will take some “redeeming” advice from Jimmy Carter and start transporting their explosives inside of ambulances?)
2. Even though the US President, the State Department and the Israeli Government asked him NOT to meet with the leader of Hamas, he wasn’t undermining anybody by doing so. (And yet, NYC Mayor Ed Koch single-handedly undermined Jimmy’s 1980 Presidential run
by refusing to openly endorse him and bless him with the “Jewish” vote?
3. Jimmy says he isn’t representing anybody but himself when meeting with Hamas. (Oh, then maybe I’ll just represent “BrianNY” and get the same respect when I go over to Damascus to tell the leader of Hamas to #%&* off for murdering a family friend of mine.)
ahhh jeeez…no warning Michelle…i was just starting to eat breakfast…have to finish in a few hours now. He makes me…
How is it all these so called highly intellectual presidents(throw bubba in there, remember) turn out to be the least patriotic and worst presidents?
When the most well known newspaper in the country publishes classified information on the front page with complete impunity, the answer is no.
Doofus face can do what he wants because he knows Bush won’t let the State Department touch him. I think he should be arrested and tried for treason, but the United States stopped doing that when they let Hanoi Jane pull her stunt on that gun mount and get by with it. No, the days of this country punishing people like doofus face are gone. He’ll come back and start planning another trip, this time to Iran to see what he can do to help them build their bomb.
I have never been so disappointed in a President as I am of President Bush. He has let his stong back bone turn to mush and Doofus face knows that all too well. I wish the guy would never step foot in the state of Georgia again, but he happens to live here, so that wish is in vain.
I have the proud distinction of having worked for many years with both members of the International Jimmy Carter Fan Club. Eat your hearts out!
Jimmy and Billy?
the RABBIT INCIDENT is here.
It’s funny.
http://www.narsil.org/politics/carter/killer_rabbit.html
Look guys, this is all a publicity drive by Carter. He just saw the income of Bill, money bags, Clinton, and he needs to up his speaking engagement rate. Now this gets him a little more in demand, and he makes more money.
ALWAYS follow the money with these turkeys.
Hey idiot….OF COURSE BO gets the majority of “world” support. Other countries want the weakest candidate they can so they can take advantage of him or her you moron!
I keep asking…how can one man (a former POTUS) be so stupid, ignorant, and gullible? HOW????
The endorsement of these countries is supposed to make us want to vote for BHO? Since when? Why would any right-thinking person want to “check in” with other countries to help us decide who our POTUS should be? If anything, we should choose the person they dislike the most!
P.S. Apparently Carter doesn’t think he did enough damage to our country while President, so he must continue his quest.
What’s up with Jimmy?
Jimmy C may have finally realized that many in the US of A think that his presidency was an utter failure and as an attempt to bolster his legacy he wants to convince the world that that he was really a great president no matter what his constituents think or what the consequences of his actions are.
Do you think????
Poor little old Peanut Farmer. It makes me nauseous to know that he’s from my state.
I was hoping Hamas would shoot him the minute he got off the plane.
I’m waiting for him to die.
What an idiot!
John #30, Hamas hates Israel, Taiwan doesn’t.
Does this man really need to told where not to go? That is a pathetic statement.
Look! Here comes lgm!
lgm:
Jimmy Carter is a better American than Dick Cheney. Jimmy Carter served his country in uniform. Dick Cheney didn’t.
Swoop. Poop. Swoop. Up, up and away!
Oh well, what did you expect from gutless Jimmy? I still remember when the fool was in office, makes me sick to think about it.
I saw a bumper sticker that amused me. It said “Censure Jimmy Carter”. I’m just waiting for one that says “Censure Dhimmi Carter”. That would hit harder.
How relevant is Jimmuh Carter? How shrewd is HAMAS making some kind of “propaganda victory” out of having his ear(s)?
How is Carter going to protect Hamas from battlefield nukes when the day that is coming actually comes?
Try not to let this guy give you a rash.
Jimmy Carter is a better American than Dick Cheney. Jimmy Carter served his country in uniform. Dick Cheney didn’t.
Hmmm….serving in uniform = better American. Lee Harvey Oswald was a better American than…..
eet’s called “reduction ad absurdum” dejack— the Left invented it.
Or as Curly of the 3 Stooges asked once-
“Hey! Moe! Is datta poy-voyted sylluhgism?” (He got slapped.)
Thanks for the chuckle, dejack.
LMAO … howdy Bear …
I used to think the mess he made of our country in the 70s was done out of naive stupidity. Over the past several years I have been moving to the conclusion that he out and out despises America (and hates Israel). When I watched him give that shameful, disgraceful speech at the Coretta Scott King funeral I made a noise that caused my wife to run in to the room thinking my appendix had burst.
good one, lmao
Carter reminds me of the proverbial retarded cousin that the family trys to keep locked in a basement, but he keeps getting out and embarrassing everyone.
Speaking of his “Presidential Legacy,” maybe that whole thing where Iran humiliated Carter and our entire nation, commited overt acts of war, and got away with it destroyed Peanut-boy’s will to resist, a la Stockholm syndrome. Now, he sides with militant islamofacists because the last time he came up against them he ended up the castrated laughingstock of the world. That MIGHT explain his behavior.
Or it could just be mad-peanut-cow.
Hmm… I thought his M.O. was more of an indirect “tu quoque” as he rarely even bothers to address the original topic and always redirects to someone on the right (i.e. conservative) that he thinks is worse by comparison.
Are you saying lgm is Alan Colmes? Has lgm ever posted when Colmes is on the air?
I am really shocked. I thought Jimmie Carter died years ago. Was the autopsy inconclusive?
Dhimmi Carter is an equal opportunity dumb a$$. Dick Morris wrote in “Off With Their Heads” that Carter went to N. Korea without authorization and cut deals that he had no authority to do. Seems like this nut just does not get it and could care less about undermining official US Policy.
#89 sclawstudent I think you are on to something.
Carter was one of the worest presidents we have EVER had. Why doesn’t he see that? If the American people thought he was a good president why didn’t we reelect him to a second term? BECAUSE HE WAS A FREAKING LIBERAL IDIOT THAT HAD NO BALLS THAT IS WHY?
