Call it BDS, but part of the blame here rests with President Bush himself.

And not in the way you might think. President Bush threw away a large percentage of his base with his insane Amnesty efforts. He called for example the Minutemen (a group you can be sure who had many a “W” bumpersticker) vigilantees and did so while standing next to America Bashing, Mexican President Fox.

Do that and other nonconservative matters (working with Kennedy, spending, etc.) and you lose your base.

Lose your base and that weakens you to such an extent that the bottom falls out. People that once defended you, simply don’t care that much. The chic of being tired of the administration grows and grows. The left is emboldened.

Bush had he stayed true to conservative issues, had he truly fought for real borders, stayed the course on not just Iraq but other issues would not be where he is today.

He would have many of the same wingnut hatemongers sure, but he would be holding I am sure somewhere in the 50s with regard to the polls.

These aren’t 5th graders…they are college students (adults). How can you claim they are parroting a teacher’s bias? Bush’s approval rating is under 30%…are you suggesting that more than 70% of this country has been brainwashed and indoctrinated?

You strike at the heart of the problem: it didn’t start in college. Or high school. Or junior high. Or even elementary school. These kids are being hit right from preschool and kindergarten. Sit down and watch morning cartoons.

Sure, Bush’s “approval ratings” are low. But the Democrat “led” Congress (you know, the most honest, transparent, blah blah, blah Congress ever) has approval ratings that average around 20% (http://www.pollingreport.com/CongJob.htm)

So where are the caricatures of Pelosi and Reid? If the approval ratings are your basis for the rank idiocy displayed by these individuals, then there is more than ample reason for Congressional leaders to be similarly caricatured.

    Where are they?

Could not agree more. I am still ticked off about that. And McCain will be worse.

That being said, I really don’t think that last summer’s amnesty fight was what influenced these students to do the caricatures in question.

The liberals are working in the schools and it won’t be long before the “crop sown” ripens. They expect, soon, that the new generation will be so indoctrinated in socialist ideas that getting power and holding it will be easy.

Right, then the graduates get their first paycheck and see all of the deductions taken out for the “socialism” they espoused while in school.

Why are you so bent on calling this an English class assignment? Because Michelle said so? Cause the link to a small-time blog says so? Or maybe these blogs got it wrong…see Lan Astaslem’s link. Typical knee jerk blind faith reaction of so many MM commentors. Use a little common sense next time feebs.

How many Obama photoshoped posters have we seen on this sight? Have I gotten all bent out of shape over them? No.

Not that feebs (or any other commenter here) needs any help but…

    1. Show us an example of common sense.

Have you been to college? You do realize that these young, misinformed adults have to ‘parrot’ to get the grade? I knew that when I attended, and that was years ago. And my grades suffered. Especially if I contradicted one of the instructors, or, *gasp*, pointed out an error in their presentation.

My most politically outspoken professors were in Biology 101 (Global Warming nut) and Psychology of Religion (harped on and on about the war in Iraq…) Other than that, I’ve been lucky not to have professor pushing their political agendas (I’m a Poli Sci major) and have never been hesitant to offer differing opinions.
