My point was regarding ‘parroting’ to make it through college. I went to a small, liberal-arts college in Virginia during the Reagan years! Aside from being taught by hippies in some cases, very few ‘political’ lines in the sand were drawn.

Have you been to college? You do realize that these young, misinformed adults have to ‘parrot’ to get the grade? I knew that when I attended, and that was years ago. And my grades suffered. Especially if I contradicted one of the instructors, or, *gasp*, pointed out an error in their presentation.

My most politically outspoken professors were in Biology 101 (Global Warming nut) and Psychology of Religion (harped on and on about the war in Iraq…) Other than that, I’ve been lucky not to have professor pushing their political agendas (I’m a Poli Sci major) and have never been hesitant to offer differing opinions.

Maybe all the liberal professors here have just given up since I go to a Southern university…
