Warman Wednesday!

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 23, 2008 07:19 AM

Mark Steyn is having a book sale to help raise money for Canadian bloggers under siege by the sharia brigade. Warman Wednesday is named after the lawsuit-happy tool, Richard Warman. Go get some Steyn stash and support free speech.

Ezra Levant has all your latest updates on the case.

The defendants are:

Ezra Levant (famous for his stirring YouTube video of his confrontation with the Canadian Human Rights tribunal after he published the “Mohammed Cartoons”)
FreeDominion.ca (Canada’s answer to FreeRepublic.com)
• Kate McMillan of SmallDeadAnimals.com
Jonathan Kay of the National Post daily newspaper and its in-house blog
• Kathy Shaidle of FiveFeetOfFury.com

Reminder: The Nose on Your Face is also selling t-shirts with all profits going to the bloggers being sued by Richard Warman. Go here.

I am glad there are great people like Steyn fighting this sharia creep. It is important that Canada wins the fight for free speech.

We have a prominent straight talker, radio host here in the USA who is taking the fight to CAIR. CAIR went after Michael Savages advertisers and many caved to the intimidation. If Savage loses this fight with CAIR it could have a snowball effect on our right to free speech here.

Like our Canadian brethern, Michael Savage needs our support.

His perils have only been briefly reported on FOX news in the morning.

These people are accused of printing material offensive to Muslims, yet it’s OK for Muslims to be offensive to every other creed and religion.

When I was in school a Muslim medical student looked at the photo of the WTC in my dorm room and told me the 9/11 pilots were brave in a very aloof manner. I really didn’t know what to say at the time. Later on that year I put him in a wrist lock and put him on his knees- in a very aloof manner. I think it’s the only way to deal with these people; show some respect man.

Steyn should just move to the US and become a citizen. I would welcome all the immigrants of his character that we could get. As far as Canada, let them reap what their socialist society would sow. I support Mark’s right to speak as he wishes, but I don’t care what happens in Canada.

Our free speech is under attack right here. Yesterday Colorado’s Douglas Bruce was asked to leave the well of the state senate for saying we don’t need 5000 more illiterate peasants. He barely got the words out before the liberals were screaming for impeachment. We are no longer permitted to speak the truth.

orlando, I’m afraid I have to disagree with you about Canada. It’s vitally important to the US what happens in Canada. The proof of this is how Mexico has been influencing policy in the US for many years, now. If Canada were to become a full-fledged Sharia state it would have enormous implications for the security of this nation.

When I read about what Canadian bloggers go through with tools like Warman, I just want to scream. What the hell is going on with our friends to the North? Have they completely lost their senses? Or are they so willing to buy all the socialist drivel given to them by the Canadian government so they’re happy enough not to question their country’s loose immigration policies or the nonsense that goes on in the name of PC protections for Muslims?

If Americans weren’t already so stuck on stupid with dreams of socialist utopia and healthcare for everyone, they’d wake up. Extreme Muslims and their apologists don’t want to be our friends and they won’t be content until they have the American people trapped in their own PC baloney.

    Get a clue……….

Best way to fight the sharia-thugs is to use photos and video of victims of the religion of peace. What about traveling exhibits through Canada and the US, documenting the thousands of Americans and Canadians murdered around the world by Muslim extremists, using the actual words of the extremists and video footage of their supporters celebrating. One need not add a single word of commentary. Every time I see the World Trade Center massacre and the people jumping to their deaths to avoid the flames, and hear their desperate 911 phone calls – their voices sick with fear and pain and the knowledge of their impending death, I want justice for all those who commit & support these unholy murderers and for those who celebrate their actions I want social and economic protest. I don’t need any interpretation or opinion and NOTHING can make me a murderer or senselessly violent – I am not one of them. The photos of the murdered women who were victims of sharia “honor killings” in the US and Canada must also be included to show what the sharia law does to women’s lives. Display Muslim children’s textbooks that are currently used worldwide and highlight the sections on Jewish people, “unbelievers,” honor killings, murdering non-Muslims. Not a day should go by without these images and sounds being played on TV or displayed in an exhibit on the danger of Islamofascism and sharia law. Every bit of such a display is truthful, factual, and current. Stage die-ins of women victims of sharia law, of authors murdered because of sharia law. Picket Islamic countries embassies and consulates with posters of victims and loud speakers blaring the calls for help. Picket Islamic organizations. Call cable networks to protest broadcasting Al-jazeera. File complaints of any intimidation you receive back. Let’s shove Muslim sensitivity to criticism down their throats.

No, what is happening in Canada is happening to us. They steal our rights little by little until one day you realize that the majority of them are gone. Then it’s too late, because the rights you lost are the ones you need to set things straight.

I guess it’s in the conservatives nature to be more passive about things. The socialists and the libertards are more aggressive and the longer we stay passive, the more aggressive they will become.

If I REALLY knew what I could do to help change the direction (aside from voting and contributing funds to conservative causes) I would be there in a heartbeat. But the way I see it, there is really no huge movements or groups to stop groups like CAIR, ACLU, etc.. MOST people I know are afraid to speak out on these issues for fear if being dubbed a “Racist” or “Bigot”. It doesn’t help that if conservatives actually grew thick skin and threw caution to the wind that the argument would be that “We have gotten as bad as the one’s we are speaking out against” I personally don’t care if they think that. If the cause is “just” then even if we rise up and take a stand, it’s for the greater good, and not for evil purposes. I do believe that we are truly the majority, but it’s a moot point if we don’t stand together. I see us conservatives being backed into a corner and I hope and pray we come out fighting and do not just throw in the towel.

Sorry for the rant, I’m just at my breaking point with the way our government is torpedoing this great country that 5 generations of my family have fought and bled and died to defend, not to mention the countless other that have done the same. I’ll quote an acquaintance that I recently spoke with (and I hope she don’t mind me using this if she happens to see it) that sums up how we all should feel.

When our founders signed the Declaration. it was considered
treason because we were still a British Colony. They had death warrants placed on their head by mad King George.

Some were killed, many had property taken. Few were left okay; most fled as fugitives to CT.

If they could do all that for me, shouldn’t I take up the banner and fight to keep what they held so dear and precious to give to me? I owe them my freedom. We all do. The fight never
ends for me. America is too precious to lose to liberals,socialists/communist/fascists and lying thugs.

So few people actually care any more. I hope for the sake of our children and our children’s children and this great nation that us citizens band together and finally say enough is enough.

Governments, in Canada and the USA, think they can use Islamic terrorism as yet another scare, as in H.L. Mencken’s tactical observation: “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
In this case the fear is not imaginary, and the Governments are very naive to think they will be able to harness the hobgoblin when it has served their purpose to fleece yet more freedoms from us.

This is exactly correct. The .gov thinks that they can use this fear-mongering to their advantage and make us give up more freedom in the name of security. They just don’t realize that the game they’re playing, is not a game to those who wish our downfall. Then when all is said and done and the extremists have taken control, the .gov will be all like “WTF just happened” we’re supposed to be in control.

PHIBEROP, you expressed the way I feel and have felt for many years as I’ve watched this great country of ours be taken over by just a few lunitics. Back when the right to pray was removed from our schools and affirmitive action was made law, the “Silent Majority” stood passively by. Today they’re still standing by, saying nothing, as they foot the bill for billions of dollars to take care of people that don’t belong here. If a left wing nut wants to call me racist or a bigot so be it.
The only way for our leaders to get a backbone is for the silent majority to vote someone who has one into office. There are many leaders, men and women, white , black and any other race with a backbone who want to put the Country on an even keel, and are willing to run, if they know that the good people will support them. Putting the dems in the President’s seat and in the halls of congress will be the death kneal for America. I feel that very strongly in my heart. I hope the Majority and the one’s who have been brain washed by the left, will wake up before November.I urge the American People to please vote Republican for The White House.

I agree: One of the things I have been doing is referring to our invasion and the people as illegals. Now whenever I am in a conversation I always use that term. When someone use the term immigrants I immediate clarify whether they mean legal or illegal. Usually the conversation stops as they cannot mix comments. I have noticed that the libs will not use this term and hope to end up with the same end as the “pedophile” homosexual priests.

I’m with you 100% and it’s all well and good in the “Perfect” world. I’m not by any means saying what you said is wrong, but I’ve voted, I’ve emailed and I’ve blogged to my hearts content. I’ve “fellowshipped” with friends, co-workers, neighbors and family. Out of all of this, I’ve noticed though is that no matter how “angry” the silent majority is, the same clowns or worse get sent to congress or the White House. I mean seriously, look at who we have as candidates for this election… No one I personally want to see in office. So what choice do I have, I will vote of that I am sure. But the way I see it, is I’m not voting FOR Johnny Mac, I just consider myself voting AGAINST Obama or Hillary. I must choose the lesser of 2 evils and I just don’t think that’s enough anymore. We need someone WORTH voting FOR. I do what I can, but something SERIOUSLY needs to happen and sometime soon. I’m afraid it will be too little too late. Time will tell.
