Unconventional Action Midwest invites all autonomous groups and individuals to “adopt a delegate” in preparation for the Republican National Convention taking place in St. Paul September 1-4.
How does it work? Easy! Simply choose a hotel and do what you can to [make] the delegate experience in the Twin Cities an unforgettable one!

In congruence (sic) with the RNC Welcoming Committee’s Points of Unity and the historic St. Paul Principles, UA-Midwest respects and encourages a wide diversity of tactics.

Oh Lord. Please don’t change their minds or weaken their hearts. The crazier they get the more we have a chance at a McGovern type election. A few months back I had lost all hope: We would be beaten, the only question was how bad. Now I think McCain wins but more critically, do we pick up down ticket?
Rush was called a racist today by a caller for repeating Al Sharptons threat for the convention if Obama is not the chosen one.
If only our people had just some of rGr fury and fanaticism, but no. Republicans will always prefer to be right than be in power. And of course will be neither.
What a bunch of burn outs.
I want to see Hillary and Obama go into Denver neck & neck.
I want to see a good ‘ol fashioned delegate floor fight.
I want to see tear gas.
I want to see hippies and code pinkos getting bit by police K-9 dogs.
I want to see Anderson Cooper getting his ass kicked on the floor of the convention like Dan Rather in ‘68.
I want to actually see the cops taser a feisty old delegate lady live on network TV, cuff her, and drag her off the convention floor.
I too dream of Denver.
That seems to have been one of Obama’s cadre of operatives (official or unofficial) who have been calling Rush, Hannity, and others. Their strategy is to pretend to be disaffected Republicans supporting Obama, and thereafter launch into a diatribe of Obama talking points the gist of which are that any criticism of Obama is racist.They talk over and interrupt the hosts in typical left wing fashion until they finish their script, at which point they hang up. It has nothing to do with anything the host happens to be discussing - that’s just the hook to get by the screener.
Republicans in general prefer to be adults, or at least act like it.

There should still be a few retired Chicago PD guys around who served in 68. Perhaps they may be available to provide guidance and consulting to the police in Saint Paul. They had a good plan for handling these punks back then. Should work again.

Today is a sad day.
I was watching Chris Matthews today (for comedy) and he talked about how Hillary was the fighter. She was willing to fight this thing to the grave.
I do not like Hillary. That is an understatement, but I am trying to be polite. She is an ego-driven, lying, power hungry person. But there is one thing that I admire about her: she is willing to fight tooth and nail for what she wants.
I found myself wishing that McCain was like that, that he was willing to put up a fight, to not pull punches. Then I realized that McCain does have a lot of fight in him… against conservatives.

In anticipation of popcorn shortages around the time of the Democratic Convention, I heard a rumor that Costco and Sam’s Club will be limiting customers to one container each during the month of August.

And I hope the delegates have the stones to make the ‘adopt a delegate’ crowd’s experiece a memorable one too. Like getting them put in jail for assault, vandalism, and stalking or just good old-fashioned dfisturbing the peace and insighting a riot.
As for Denver - the Dems only have themselves to blame trying to recreate 1968 at every turn (Iraq=Vietnam) and enouraging all of the wing-nut splinter groups (the Greens, the MoveOn morons, the everything-hyphenated-American groups with a chip on their shoulder, the NOW activists, the ACLU, the MSM, the easily offended, the PC crowd, etc) to go all out and demonstrate for their causes. This could be the clash of the idiot titans.
I hope Denver rues the day the Dems come to town. I hope Denver got its cash up front from these a$$-clowns too (hope I didn’t offend real hardworking clowns out there). I hope it is a full 5-star ugly horror show-spectacle.
It would be fun to have Al “I’m a Loser” Gore introduce Hillary and Jimmy ‘PEENUT Brain’ Carter introduce Obama for their respective speeches.

Bring dvd recorders and document as much as you can at as high a resolution as your equipment can handle. Remember to steady the camera and pan slowly. IE, quit fidgeting.
And THAT is the single biggest difference between 1968 and now — the democratization of imagery. Everyone controls the image now. You just have to be ready.
Even though I dislike the democratic party and its policies, I really hope that we don’t have another 1968 convention. Of course, the MSM will love it, and encourage it; sensationalism brings profits. Violence at conventions achieve very little, except to allow moonbats their minute of fame, and show the world how dysfunctional we are.

Good thing I’m headed for the Commissary this afternoon I will be stocking up on Pop Secret just in case they might be a run on it this summer. The performance art by the smelly hippies will be fun to watch on TV without having to put up with the smell. I feel very sorry for the decent citizens of Denver and Minneapolis-Saint Paul once the invasion of the Anarchist begins.

I live in the Denver area and rue the day Denver got the Dem convention. I read somewhere that Recreate’68 has got a web site (?). Any Republican within 50 miles of Denver in August is asking for trouble.
