Know-it-all Hillary “didn’t know anything about” Bill’s Weather Underground pardons
She’s ready to lead from Day One. She’s got the experience. The know-how. The best staff. And the best minds.
But somehow, Hillary Clinton was never made aware that her husband had pardoned members of the terrorist Weather Underground–whose ties to the Obama camp she denounced at the ABC debate last week. Can I get a cackle up in here?

Newsday cannot suspend its disbelief and deconstructs Hill’s claim:
In an interview yesterday, Hillary — whose connection to President Clinton’s 2001 sentence commutations for two members of the Weather Underground has become an issue since she tried to raise questions about Obama’s acquaintance with another ex-Weatherman — told “Inside Edition” that she “didn’t know anything about” the 2001 clemency case…
…If it’s true, it means that she got the worst briefings in the world when she was running for Senate in 2000 and the clemency issue was hot in Rockland County, and it means that Chuck Schumer didn’t even bother to mention the issue to his fellow NY senator-elect/ First Lady after promising the widows of two dead cops to fight against one of the clemencies.
Here’s the chronology:
On October 19, 2000, as Hillary was hunting for Senate votes throughout New York, Rockland County’s biggest paper, the Journal News, ran a front page story reporting that imprisoned radical Susan Rosenberg — linked to the 1981 Weather Underground Brinks robbery that left two Nyack cops dead — was seeking clemency from Bill Clinton.
The next day, the widows and fellow state and local police attended a memorial service for the two dead cops at the site of the killings. Also in attendance: Sen. Chuck Schumer, who in that fall was frequently campaigning with Hillary. According to another front page story, on Oct. 21, he made a pledge to the widows to fight the clemency: “I intend to take our opposition as high as I can in government.”
On December 16, 2000, after Hillary became New York’s Senator-elect, the paper did another Page 1 story about an upcoming 60 Minutes episode on Rosenberg’s clemency application. It included a quote from one of her new constituents, Diane O’Grady, wife of one of the dead cops: “This is a woman who has taken lives.”
On December 17, 2000, the “60 Minutes” piece on Rosenberg’s case and clemency request ran.
So, Clinton — in her effort to avoid being connected in any way to the case — now says she knew nothing about it. Nobody briefed her, either while she was running or after she was elected, on an emotional hot-button issue that intersected her husband with her constituents. Her husband, who invited her to sit in on a White House meeting with another group of Rockland County residents seeking pardons for four Hasidic members of their community, never so much as mentioned Rosenberg.
Chuckie Schumer, for once, isn’t talking.

i’m sick of this ‘have it all ways’ campaign she’s running. by her own account, she’s been a principle in all that went well in the Clinton administration, and either 1) absent or 2) a victim of vast conspiracies when things went awry.
i still haven’t a clue as to why she was elected Senator of NY…when she was the first lady from Arkansas. and since being a Senator, i have no idea what she’s done since.
i know experience and results mean nothing to liberals, but to us outside the DNC, it’s hilarious to watch her carefully critique Obama’s resume.

Hillary says she never knew that brother Hugh Rodham was paid $250,000.00 by the families of two guys seeking pardons from Bill Clinton. She actually thinks that brother Hugh was being paid for his expertise as a government lobbyist. She also says she knew nothing about the pardons for people in the FALN terrorist ring. I believe that some of the people pardoned may have been involved in the plot to assassinate President Truman. Some of them were involved with the criminal gang Los Machateros. It is interesting that nobody in the MSM wants to investigate the Puerto Rican independence terrorists who Bill Clinton pardoned. These people were worse than Ayers. These people were pardoned to placate some politicians in the PuertoRican community in NYC who would then solicit votes for Hillary. Her “I knew nothing” defense to everything has usually worked. Thank the Lord that there was videotape of her Bosnia trip.

The difference is that Schultz was usually on the side of the prisoners, which is why he “saw nothing” when he knew it would get them in trouble.

nyk, don’t start agreeing with the board on this. Everyone knows that Hillary is a “gateway” topic that will eventually lead to experimentation with harder, more dangerous agreements. Before you know it you will be lying in a gutter, jobless and friendless screaming “SECURE OUR BORDERS!” and “WHY WON’T HANNITY RETURN MY CALLS!”
Who is managing this campaign?
She won election because she agreed to meet the primary requirement for most of those who vote for a Democratic candidate. She promised to meet their “self interests”.
She has been prevented from delivering on those promises by the administration and the vast right wing conspiracy.

It is getting so deep in my office while reading this that my watch just stopped working!
The best anti-Hillary ad would be a video tape of her statements on how heavily involved she was in the Clinton administration juxtaposed with video tape of the 50 or so times she has made statements that she didn’t know anything about specific things that happened then.
I am simply amazed at how Shilery can tell one lie after another and the people just keep turning out to support her, and I include some family members as well, so I’m not biased.They don’t have the faintist clue about what she’s about. It’s like someone has put a vaccuum cleaner to their ears and sucked all of the common sense out of their feeble brains. The same for Obummer, but I’ve been on his case all week and sort of gave Shilery a pass, but when she says she didn’t know about the pardons, I just had to get my 2 cents worth in. Surely some miricale will happen between now and November to wake my family members and the rest up. I sure hope so.
Clinton didn’t know about the pardons. Obama was shocked to learn his mentor hated America and was an anti-semetic racist. These candidates seem to have a high level of selective ignorance.

You are absolutely right. Now, Obama needs to start hitting on her lack of credibility. He have her a pass on Bosnian snipers for the most part, but this load of crap from Hillary provides the opening to attack her. I’d hit it hard about how she can’t have it both ways, and start nailing on the veracity issues. If this were a prizefight, now is the time for Barack’s trainer to say, “Wake the F up! Of course, she didn’t know about the pardons. Everyone knows she was out in California, taking SEAL training. She was offered, on graduation, an immediate instructorship, but she had to fly back to D.C., so she could lead an important foreign policy meeting and make some very crucial decisions.
Forget the pardons. The biggest hypocrisy here is Hillary condemning Obama for associating with current day Ayers and Dorhn, who are now just your common every day communist college professors living off the public teat. Obama can reasonably argue that he didn’t know what they were guilty of so long ago.

Both she and Bill were hip-deep in the same antiwar movement that spawned the Weathermen. By all accounts, she was pretty radical herself back then, including a job with a San Francisco law firm with card-carrying communist partners. Bill went to Europe and engaged in anti-American rallies and even went to Moscow (why he went or what he did there has never been adequately explained.)
There is no way that Hillary did not know who Ayers and Dohrn were all along, and probably was quite sympathetic to them in those days.
Needless to say, she has not changed her views since then either. Universal government supplied health care, press censorship, indoctrination of the young in government schools back in the 1960’s would have been called communist ideas. All that’s happened is the left-wing counterculture is now grown up and in control of our universities, our media and much of the bureaucracy that rules us.
What did Bill do in Moscow? I have it on good authority that there are some hot, zoftig babes there.

I am overwhelmed at Hillary’s ability to claim “experience” when so much of what she does is shown factually false. Worse, she has the most convenient ability to overlook bad news from her hubby’s presidency.
The fact Libs are still supporting either Hillary or BHO at this late stage of the campaign shows they are either in extreme denial or that have BDS so bad they cannot cast a rational vote.
Hillary has many flaws and misdeeds to her credit:
missing Rose Law firm billing records;
travelgate;
communist health care plans;
sitting on Walmart’s boards and later critiseze the company;….
Being as big hearted as Bill Clinton, I will forgive her transgressions and vote for her, on one condition:
She has to promise that she will help every single American -legal and illegal, Democrat and Republican – turn a $1000 investment into a 100K portfolio.
That way, two of the serious problems facing the nation will be solved: Deficit (remember the capital gains tax on 99K profits) and dependence on Social Security.
No no no… it’s not lies and misstatements, it’s nuance. And conservatives just aren’t elite enough to get nuance.
