Friday Videodrome
On the West Coast, and counting down the minutes to quittin’ time? These will pass the time.
Via Ace’s headlines, this one will get you furious:
Via Baldilocks, this one will get you fired up (it’s a little too long, and there’s some blue language):
Black & White on the Grey Matters 2 (War)
I haven’t watched the rest of this guy’s archive, but he’s got some more videos here. (UPDATE: I’m watching his gay marriage one and it’s way not work-safe. Proceed with caution.)
And here’s ReasonTV on bureaucrats v. bacon, and the black market in delicious bacon dogs:
Dang, my tummy is rumbling and I am now needing to do some field research in L.A.

Great. Give money and I feel like a sucker. Don’t and I feel guilty. Maybe it’s better Karma to feel like a sucker.
Dude - I live in LA and would never eat those bacon dogs - there is no refrigeration, the people cooking them have no health certificate (and probably have never been to a doctor) and probably took the bus to get to their vending point. The smell is awful. You are asking for Trichinosis (worms). I’m am so glad that the LA County Health Board took the illegal alien street vendors away…. This is non Bangkok!!!!
Any pork, chops, ham, bacon, fried, fried potatoes with onions, pork gravy, blackeyed peas, and peach cobbler with ice cream. It does the cholesteral end big time, but a good meal.
L
Hey See W, hit Alpine village for some Brats. They have good beer too.
Try This Letget D*mn, now I need to fly back to Springfield to get one. You can use ham instead of a hamburger.
#2…they took a bus! GASP! Would you like some arugula with your spanish ham, ronalddog? Funny how elitism goes both ways.
maybe not the safest thing to eat, but dang sam it looked awesome, with a ballgame coming on at 4 I could get all over one of those, ok 2.
Never had a bacon dog, but it sure sounds good. Hmm. May make one for Saturday lunch.
I’m up in San Francisco. We have the little ladies with their taco carts all over the place. We have the walking ice cream vendors with the little chests on wheels. We have Food Not Bombs serving god-knows-what as “vegan” food to vagrants.
Eat any of this at your own risk. (The tacos are great and I’m alive to tell).
Here in KC a pan handler was arrested with $5,000 in his pocket, another was followed to his nice 2006 Cadillac and his $150,000 home and it was found out later he made $40,000 a year from pan handling. A friend and I conducted an experiment we saw a guy with a “will work for food” sign we stoped and told him we had work for him and we would feed him everyday 3 squares till the job was done, he told us to F off he wanted cash. I never give money to these scammers ever.
I like that guy in video two.
MMMMmmm, I wonder how that would taste on the grill, I’m trying it sometime maybe this weekend, hickory and white oak smoked bacon burgers sounds really good.
If you watch this video and think about it, it is analogous to what will happen to us as a country if any of the three candidates gets into office.
Charlie the Unicorn
Deep stuff.
That should be bacon dogs not burgers but I’ll grill some of those two. Man I’m getting hungry.
There should be a compromise here. That woman had an approved lunch wagon, it was just no approved for bacon. The triple sink has nothing to do with the bacon. That is a refrigeration issue. Seems to me a single sink and an ice-chest solution could be worked out. As for the others, that is worst than Mexico which has pretty fancy street carts, BTW.
too not two
Color me there if you live within a hundred miles….
LOL my daughter showed me this last year and annoyed the living you know what out of me with it. She saw it at a cosplay I took her to at an anime convention. funny
BaconDog… now there is something you would never, ever get my wife to eat, even if it were personally prepared by Bobby Flay.
She hates both ingredients.
You would be more than welcome aj I live in KC though If I’m not mistaken you live in AZ don’t you? That would probably a little far to go for a meal, but let me know if your ever in the area and we will get together and cook some of those bacon dogs on the grill just for you.
thanks, live in the cal. desert near palm springs.
I remember the Cal desert from the Corps, cool nights hot days. I’m what they call a Hollywood Marine. I’m serious though if your ever in the KC area let me know.
OK, I use to have a stead fast rule about giving out money. (This post is just too coincidental today)….But I started doing it (selectively) about two months ago, every friday.
Today, (just about an hour ago) I came home eary for an appointment and a homeless man started chasing me. He needed money for bart to get to his destination for a “shower and food”.
He was asking for $6.00. I gave him more…he looked at me and just said “Miss, I can’t give you change for this”. I told him not to worry about it…just to pay it forward. And this man…just looked at me and gave me a hug.
I thought twice about posting about this here, because it diminishes the “random (anonymus) acts of kindness” theme…but in response to that video…and since it just happened…I thought perhaps a little perspective would be in order.
(For the record…I would NEVER give money to a healthy young lady like this…she has two legs, two arms…and is more than capable of getting a job).
But sometimes, folks…ya gotta have a little faith….and you are right Dejack….if they are pulling the wool over your eyes…they will have a date with karma sooner or later.
Until then, my Friday donations will continue.
Nuff said.
That Black & White rant was great!
Feebie, my random acts of kindness are doing things like mowing the elderly couple in their 80s yard up the street when they leave for church, that is the only time they are both not home, I talked to him one day and he said we are so blessed someone comes and mows our yard every Sunday, “I wish I knew who it was so I could give them something for it”, I told him “maybe they don’t want anything for it, maybe they are just trying to help you out” he said “well god bless them who ever it is”. I give a guy a ride to the Catholic Church everday, it started out as a random act and now I do it everyday he is a good hard working guy. There is lots of ways to do random acts of kindness without giving money.
#23 I absolutely agree with you.
If you live in Chicago and have at least one functioning artery, The Bagel Restaurant and Deli serves one of the tastiest foods known to man: The Francheezie. A Francheezie is “a jumbo frank, stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and deep fried.” And, of course, it comes with french fries. There a Bagel on the 3100 block of N. Broadway and one at the Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. And their bakery is just obscene.
Mookie, one word for you….Lipitor!
I just ate dinner and my mouth was watering watching the bacon dog segment. Two of my favorite foods together in a perfect melody of pork and pork. Mmmmmmmm! Sounds like something I will have to give a try on my own. Not planning any trips to Southern California at this particular time. If I was I would include a visit to Tommy Burger, In & Out, and a couple of other places we discovered when stationed at March AFB back in the 1980s.
Feebie, thank God I don’t live out there anymore or I’d be popping Lipitor like M&Ms. That restaurant is SO good. The best cold remedy I have ever had is their chicken soup. It’s called Mish-Mash, comes in a covered glass bowl and has matzoh balls, kerplach, noodles, rice and kasha. Oh man…
OK, now I’m hungry.
bacon doges—if you are afraid of the bacon–ask for one with NO Bacon!
Don’t you just LOVE the GVT. managing everything?
How about if the gvt. starts monitoring- via a food - handler’s licence- like in my day- when - even if we worked in our father’s store-we had to be tested for TB and et. al. That was a LONG time ago! NO - the breaucrats are TOO lazy for that!
Welcome to LA!
Boomer this place is the best in America, especially if you like chile rellano burritos, they are killer with pork in em, true homemade sauce. A must if in so. cal.
rosa’s
father was stationed at march afb,i was born at norton.
I give every Sunday at our Catholic Church.
LOL Boomer. My wife went to Oxy in the early eighties (same undergrad class as BHO before he “went East”). When she and I visited Oxy before we had kids, Tommy Burger was the prime destination (as well as some place called Burger Continental in Pasedena). You can’t go home again, but in this case, she could. Same as it ever was…
Hmmm… this is why I don’t give out money except to my church. I think it goes to more good there.
I think I’m in love with Black and White on the Grey.
I gave 5 bucks to a “homeless vet” about a month ago. Saw him half hour later stuck in traffic next to me in a late model BMW.
I’m out 5 bucks; he’ll burn in Hell for eternity.
Fair trade.
I second that. This guy is great. He has my vote, seriously — I’m writing him in. If you can imagine a young, hip Thomas Sowell, this is probably as close as you are going to get. Outstanding.
I agree its well worth the watch. I only wish there was less editing.
Fresh material, provides good chuckles with reality at lefty expense for a change.
He sounds more qualified than Oblahma.
Love that guy (B&W) but the beard….oh goodness, that beard.
As long as we’re making ourselves hungry–the missus and I stopped at this place in San Luis Obispo a couple of months ago. Worth your time if you’re on Highway 1.
I love the Black and White on Gray matters… hilarious! I sent it to my lefty friend in France and he went apoplectic. Excellent!
Thank you.
Field’s hot dogs are my favorite brand of dogs in Louisville. (They’re even better than Oscar Meyer..forget that weinee-mobile.)
“I wanna doooog, a dog on a bun.
A Field’s hot dog is the natural one.
A Field’s hot dog, delicious and fun.
I want a mmmdada mmmdada mmmmdada mmmdada
A Field’s hot dog”
KY Derby is only a week away.
On the panhandlers video - a while back one of the San Antonio stations did a story on the one’s we have here -they actually offered a job to three of them- only one took it. That’s one one of the reasons I don’t give money to them.
On the last video - it too much governmen getting involved - this lady has licenses and is simply trying to give her customers what hey want - while being a good tax paying citizen.
B & W on G Rocks!!! Thanks for turning me on to this dude.
