Illegals ask sheriff’s office for ride home to Mexico

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 25, 2008 12:39 PM

I’m sure the ACLU will be filing a protest against the law enforcement officers ASAP. They can’t let this stand! It’s not part of the plan.

Illegals Ask Sheriff’s Office For A Ride Home to Mexico

(Phoenix, AZ) In a strange turn of events, four illegal aliens seeking but not finding employment in Maricopa County, approached a Sheriff’s deputy and asked to be returned
home to Mexico. The illegals admitted to the deputy that had recently entered the U.S. illegally and were in the Aguila area, west of Phoenix, seeking work.

A Human Smuggling unit detective trained in immigration matters was called to the scene and processed the four men. Customs officials then took them back to Mexico.

The Aguila area has seen a flurry of law enforcement assistance by the Sheriff’s Office recently. Deputies have been asked by residents there to have a stronger presence in the
community because of the problems related to illegal immigration there.

I wish more elected representatives were like Joe Arpaio.

I am referred to as “The Toughest Sheriff in America.” That’s fine but I like to think of myself and my employees as some of the most forward thinking law enforcement professionals in the industry. We do a lot of good things here in Maricopa County and many of them are cutting edge. And while I do enjoy a high approval rating by the citizens who reside here, being free to think and act “outside of the box” which being elected allows me to do, can sometimes draw criticism. That’s ok. After 15 years as Sheriff and with several more years ahead of me (I hope), I would rather be criticized for doing what I think is right for this community than playing politics simply by playing it safe.

They need to quit “playing it safe” and start doing what they are elected to do – represent the people by whom they are elected.

Like a lot of anti-illegal alien people have pointed out before, if we stop catering to them they will all self-deport. As long as we continue to provide work, money, charity, spanish-language services, free healthcare, and education for them to grab they will continue grabbing it.

They need to self-deport, go back to Mexico and start a revolution. Many of them are hard-working and do want a better life, so they should demand that Calderon and his flunkies provide it for them.

Other than needing to bookmark the website, since the name isn’t obvious, I would highly recommend it to any and all employers.
Oh, and you have to post a notice stating that you participate in the program. Just having that sign next to the help wanted sign will probably do the trick. Each state should require E-Verify of its employers; it’s one unfunded mandate I can actually support.

Do you live in Maricopa County and speak from personal knowledge or ???

so where did you go slp?
    drive by attacks today?

I have been a legal resident of Maricopa County for 41 years. I am just overseas helping protect our country. So I went to sleep after posting the comment.

    The comments are accurate.

Sheriff Joe is an obnoxious publicity whore.

For Sheriff Joe, getting out the press releases is more important effective law enforcement.

Everyone in Sheriff Joe’s fan club is a sucker.

    BTW

I think that employers should be required to properly check the immigration status of individuals before they are hired.

If the illegales can’t get work, they will go back to Mexico or wherever else they came from.

The problem with Sheriff Joe is the non-story of 4 illegales in Aguila results in an instant press release.

Another problem with Sheriff Joe is the people of Maricopa County are saddled with 50+ million dollars of claims against Sheriff Joe and his incompetent employees for inmates who die or are serious injured in his custody.

Can Sheriff Joe come out to Los Angeles and escort Mayor Toni V. to Mexico as well? Maybe then they all go back and fix Mexico the same way they screwed up California.

It is as I’ve been saying fars now. Take away the jobs that ILLEGALS crave and they will return home all on their own.

Just look at that. How amazing! It didn’t even take a poke at my Pope to get it accomplished. Go figure. ;o)

Yeah. Joe Apraio for Head of Homeland Security.

I think this would be the perfect position for him!

    sausage,
Parents who break laws and then hide behind their children as an excuse to not be punished are the kind of scum who don’t deserve to have children, much less be thrown into prison. Pastors who help these criminals to break our laws don’t deserve to have flocks, and should be tried for aiding and abetting
