Illegals ask sheriff’s office for ride home to Mexico
I’m sure the ACLU will be filing a protest against the law enforcement officers ASAP. They can’t let this stand! It’s not part of the plan.

April 24, 2008Illegals Ask Sheriff’s Office For A Ride Home to Mexico
(Phoenix, AZ) In a strange turn of events, four illegal aliens seeking but not finding employment in Maricopa County, approached a Sheriff’s deputy and asked to be returned
home to Mexico. The illegals admitted to the deputy that had recently entered the U.S. illegally and were in the Aguila area, west of Phoenix, seeking work.A Human Smuggling unit detective trained in immigration matters was called to the scene and processed the four men. Customs officials then took them back to Mexico.
The Aguila area has seen a flurry of law enforcement assistance by the Sheriff’s Office recently. Deputies have been asked by residents there to have a stronger presence in the
community because of the problems related to illegal immigration there.

That’s just one more bit of evidence that the new AZ laws on illegal immigration are actually working. I wish Juan McAmnesty would see that yes people will self-deport if the economic incentive is taken away.

Sherrif Joe proves that AZ is still “Country for Old Men”, kicking butt old school. And the effects of the the recent laws in AZ regarding employment enforcement and economic benefits, along with the police decision to check citizenship of everyone they stop, has made this wonderful state even better.
The illegals can play the system like a 1703 Stradivarius.

Good for Sheriff Joe, the toughest sheriff in America, and good for Arizona. Unfortunately many of the illegals are heading north instead of south. Ranchers and farmers in Idaho and other northern states who hire illegals for profit have the local governments in their pockets including law enforcement. I wonder if the spineless Idaho sheriffs and police chiefs have twinges of guilt and feelings of inadequacy when they hear or read about Sheriff Joe Arpaio? One can only hope.

a number of other law enforcement groups from around the country have put together programs based on some of Sheriff Joe’s … so I guess he has done some consulting with a few folks out there …
but he’s a keeper in the eyes of the majority of us here …
We LOVE Sheriff Joe here! He is constantly sued and yet he stands strong against all those special interests. If only more had the guts he does.

Yesterday’s opinion by Ruben Naverrette Jr in the SF Chronicle points out that Janet Murguia of the National Council of La Raza deems immigration the next big Civil Rights issue of the 21st Century. You cross our border illegally, steal identities, and collect money that doesn’t belong or not due to you and these are Civil Rights issues? Makes about as much sense as Gavin Newsome’s Sanctuary City initiative.

They say, “We can’t deport all those illegal millions.” Oh,yes you can. Just turn off the money faucet and watch them line up to return. Too many people, though, want to keep the faucet running for their own personal gain, like local/national politicians.

Like a lot of anti-illegal alien people have pointed out before, if we stop catering to them they will all self-deport. As long as we continue to provide work, money, charity, spanish-language services, free healthcare, and education for them to grab they will continue grabbing it.
They need to self-deport, go back to Mexico and start a revolution. Many of them are hard-working and do want a better life, so they should demand that Calderon and his flunkies provide it for them.

I am an employer in Idaho and decided to sign up for the E-Verify program, although I only have one non-citizen (legal) employee. Tried it the first time this week on a new hire and was amazed at the instant response. Registering was easy, it even included a (mandatory) tutorial to make sure you use it properly. Other than needing to bookmark the website, since the name isn’t obvious, I would highly recommend it to any and all employers.
Oh, and you have to post a notice stating that you participate in the program. Just having that sign next to the help wanted sign will probably do the trick. Each state should require E-Verify of its employers; it’s one unfunded mandate I can actually support.

I think that employers should be required to properly check the immigration status of individuals before they are hired.
If the illegales can’t get work, they will go back to Mexico or wherever else they came from.
The problem with Sheriff Joe is the non-story of 4 illegales in Aguila results in an instant press release.
Another problem with Sheriff Joe is the people of Maricopa County are saddled with 50+ million dollars of claims against Sheriff Joe and his incompetent employees for inmates who die or are serious injured in his custody.
Can Sheriff Joe come out to Los Angeles and escort Mayor Toni V. to Mexico as well? Maybe then they all go back and fix Mexico the same way they screwed up California.
