I’m glad that the NC republican party has a stiff spine and isn’t backing down on airing the advertisement in spite of opposition from McCain & Dean.

I’m tired of republicans who have jelly filled & squishy spines.

GO NC GOP!

McCain is blowing this opportunity big time. He should be saying something like

“I’m not the ‘PC Pope of the GOP’. We’re a big tent party with many diverse opinions and perspectives. While I strongly disagree with this sort of message, I also strongly agree they have the freedom of speech to do and say what they feel best for their individual situation.”

Then let the Dem’s stew over their dilema. Should they attack the freedom of speech, or the big tent, or the notion that everyone needs to follow the leader’s way of PC thought control.

McCain wants nothing so much as to whimper and whine his way into the good graces of the press and the left. He is a functional left wing Democrap. Whoever wins the general election, the American left will be empowered to gnaw away at the principals of patriotism, truth, and decency. What a wretched state of affairs. He almost had me. I’m ashamed to admit I was warming to McCain slightly over the past few weeks. Obama was imploding, and McCain was saying positive things about this country–a real feel-good message.

Come on people. If McCain doesn’t denounce the add he’ll undoubtedly be labeled a “racist” as well as adding to the “distractions” (Obamanation’s favorite term) of the campaign. McCain is, after all, a politician and as much as the purists bitch about him and the way he operates, there is a method to his madness.

McCain may well be the best fundraiser ever for the North Carolina GOP.

Due 100% to Senator McCain I made a contribution today to the North Carolina GOP.

I also made sure they knew it was due comletely to Senator McCain’s misguided position.

I hope many others did the same.

Note to Senator McCain. If there are any other state GOP headquarters I need to donate to just let me know.
