All aboard the Jive Talk Express
My syndicated column today deconstructs Barack Obama’s pitiful performance yesterday. Try as he might, he simply cannot disown the un-disownable preacher of hate. That press conference yesterday renders the Philadelphia speech from March null and void. And anyone who fell for the Philadelphia speech (unfortunately, there were several on the right side of the aisle) should feel especially embarrassed today. Try not to be fooled again.
Speaking of the Philly speech, Jeff Emanuel notes that Obama is actually selling DVDs of the speech to raise money. Yep. At the same time he was attempting to finally disown Jeremiah Wright, he was peddling his speech refusing to disown him.
Huckster.

Barack Obama looked pale and wan at what he called his “big press conference” about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright on Tuesday afternoon. Numb. Chastened. Defeated. Extolled for his eloquence, Obama stuttered and stammered his way through the question-and-answer session. It appeared he was having an out-of-body experience.
Who knew that the greatest threat to his presidential campaign would come from the preacher who married him, baptized him, and prayed with him? Barack Obama should have known. That’s who. Take that judgment and shove it on a pretty campaign poster.
“Yes, we can”? Try “Yes, you should have.”
For the past 24 hours, Obama’s campaign too slowly grappled with how to handle the aftermath of Wright’s whirlwind tour of hatred this weekend — from Dallas, where he decried his “public crucifixion,” to Detroit, where he entertained NAACP bigwigs with impersonations of white people, mockeries of classical music and “white” marching bands, and lectures on racial brain theories, to the National Press Club, where he preened, strutted and head-wagged his way through an hour of bitter black liberation theologizing.
At first, Obama downplayed Wright’s public appearances. But Obama now tells us he had to wait 24 hours to convene a press conference to denounce Wright’s National Press Club speech because he “hadn’t seen it.” After all this time on the campaign trail, we’re back to the Obama-as-clueless-naif narrative again. When he finally did view the Washington speech, Obama explained, he was “shocked” and “outraged” and “saddened” because “the person I saw was not the person that I’d come to know over 20 years.”
What a load of pure unadulterated horse manure. Anyone with eyes can see that Wright’s performances are finely honed, time-tested acts. His anti-white, anti-American, “imperialist”-bashing shtick was not developed overnight or over the past few years. He’s been peddling AIDS conspiracies for decades. He’s been grievance-mongering about slavery for decades. He’s been flirting with the Nation of Islam, which provided security for his speeches, for decades. He’s been a shouting left-wing radical for decades.
Obama’s best-selling Audacity of Hope is named after the first sermon of Wright’s that he heard — decades ago — in which the pastor of racial resentment inveighed against an environment “where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere.” Yet, only now has Obama concluded that Wright’s sermons are “a bunch of rants that aren’t grounded in truth.”
Welcome to the Jive-Talk Express.
A reader of mine who is a clergyman e-mailed after Obama’s press conference: “As a pastor, I have this take: It is inconceivable that Obama had no knowledge of Wright’s views after 20 years as a member of that church. As a pastor, my heart-held, deepest beliefs and passions cannot be silenced. It is what I am. If I were given a microphone at the National Press Club, I would not speak on something that I had guardedly kept secret for most of my life. No, I would go to my main point, the center of my ministry, the core of my passion, to speak truth as I know it to be. How can Obama actually claim that this is news from his pastor? His mailman, butcher or plumber? No problem. His pastor? No way!”
It’s not Wright who has changed his loony tune.
It was just last year that Obama was telling the Chicago Tribune that Wright was his sounding board for truth: “What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice. He’s much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I’m not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that’s involved in national politics.”
It was just this March, in his Philadelphia racial reconciliation speech, that Obama was urging us not to dismiss Wright as a “crank or a demagogue” and protesting that he could “no more disown him than I can disown the black community.”
Now, realizing how gravely his self-serving association with Wright has wounded his campaign, Obama himself has attempted to do both those things — and expects the American public to believe him when he weakly and belatedly asserts that “when I say I find [Wright’s] statements appalling, I mean it.”
As those of us with non-European brains might put it: You be trippin’, Barry.

Having been in youth ministry, I can tell you that a Pastor’s protege has access to the entire thought process (good, bad, and ugly) of the Pastor. My former pastor (I moved from MD 13 years ago) would share his mindset with me that most people in the Church would never know.
In my case, there was nothing to hide. But if you label someone as a “spiritual mentor,” you know everything. No claim of ignorance is accepted by me.
Nor is any excuse.
Period.
Thank you Michelle!
You put into words exactly what millions of Americans know about this snake-oil salesman. Because of our dishonest msm, we are never told the truth about what is really going on here in the states.
Another one thrown under the bus.
You know, it’s getting pretty crowded under that bus too.
In his little stutterfest yesterday he said his wife shared the same views….I bet! like to be a fly on the wall whenever the “rev” opens his mouth of what she’s really saying… lol. My guess is it would be classic “Raw”
The remarkable thing is: take away the controversy over Wright and the questionable associations with former members of the Weathermen; even if Obama were completely void of any of this, we’d still have a candidate with limited experience and accomplishments. Sorry, but the Office of the President is not a place to gain on-the-job experience.
he be straight trippin’, yo
You can take the man out of the ghetto…
Excellent point.
This dork has been polishing this routine for a long, long time.
Perhaps BHO should hold another press conference this week on foreign relations. He should say that he has just listened to a Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speech from Iran, say that this was not the Mahmoud that he thought he knew, and will no longer chat with him when he becomes president.
lest we forgit…Barrack did donate $25,000.00 to Mr wrights church last year!nothing to the red cross, or american way…does a person’s ‘charity’ reveal anything about their heart and soul?
The Obameltdown. Too funny.
I hope Rush hasn’t shot us in the foot.

Great column - DUH!
Too bad the left will never get it. That would be like lgm “getting it”.
not.gonna.happen
Was watching Joe Scarborough on MSNBC this morning - he thinks Obama’s speech on Wright was the right thing to do. It will help him win.
What IS he drinking???
I see a t-shirt there.
“It’s getting crowded under Barry’s bus.”
“Here comes the new boss.
Same as the old boss….

The Hollow Men
We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats’ feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar
Shape without form, shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture without motion;
Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death’s other Kingdom
Remember us—if at all—not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

“Jeremiah was a BULLFROG!” Love that song.
Wright stated
Typical Liberal Hypocrite ones own words do not apply to them.
One of the first things taught when Public speaking is be careful of and/or REFRAIN from using the word “I”.
Reverend Wrights usage of the word “I” this, “I” that and “I” the other more than two dozen times reveals all about his racist liberation crapology. It’s all about him, not the church, not his congregation definitely not Barack Obama.
You would think that the Big Picture of having a presidential candidate or perhaps even a President elect generated from ones own congregation would be a major point of pride elevating all black persons for any pastor. NOT!
Egocentric ratings of an obvious deranged out of touch liberal elite. Excusing “Ebonics” speakers as different not deficient won’t advance the cause of blacks in America. Mocking Whites, Non-Black Music (Ignoring RAP Music), Making opinionated Brain Side Analogies excusing black persons inability to speak coherent English and poor education and graduation rates.
Deriding white people whom he claims do not know how to clap. How does this elevate black people? It doesn’t. If you live by the verbal sword you can die by the same sword.
The Black Grievance Industry prevails.
Michelle thanks for another great article that is right on target! I hope this incident will be the final nail in the coffin of this empty suit that under proper inspection by talk radio and the new media is unfit not only to be the next POTUS, but also unfit to hold his current seat in the Senate. The DNC did a very poor job on their vetting process of those they considered acceptable to run for POTUS and to be fair I am also disgusted with the RNC for throwing conservative principles under the bus just like the empty suit just threw his pastor to keep his “typical white” grandma company.
Lets not forget that Barry and Jerry planned this from the beginning. They knew this would happen and this is all pre-planned.
Its working quite well too, watch the sympathy enablers start flooding BO with support. They will portray BO as the victim, while behind the scenes Barry and Jerry will be yucking it up at our expense.

FruNobulux, Rush is conjecturing the MSM will give Obama’s positioning speech a Kennedy frame for fame and he want’s to be in a position to counter such a position. I don’t know what ‘calling an operational pause in Operation Chaos’ has to do with it but it’s his show.
Whether BHO bought into the worst of Wright’s lies, who knows. But the whole demeanor Wright showed “in the full sermon” (all of them linked so far, at least) was ample reason to be headin’ for the door in either 1-3 or 2-4 time, led by either the left or right half of your brain. This is a PhD that talks racist jibberish that would get a white PhD thrown off any respectable campus. I have no complaint about the style of any worship, black or other, but the content cannot be clap-trap, as this is now and has been for 20 plus years.
In his National Press Club appearance, which was praised to the sky by CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, Wright told one glaring lie. He said that Louis Farrakhan had never said that “Judaism is a gutter religion”. Wright said that Farrakhan stressed that he considered “Zionism” to be a gutter religion. First, it’s a distinction that is meaningless. Second, Wright told a bald faced lie. In the 1984 campaign, Farrakhan addressed Jews directly in a speech. Farrakhan said loudly “your gutter religion”. Then Farrakhan came on Larry King for a suck up interview and Mr. King gingerly brought up the quote from Farrakhan. Farrakhan did not deny saying that Judaism was a gutter religion. He did not say that he was only referring “to Zionism”. Instead, Farrakahn went on a rift about how if your religion (meaning Judaism) does all these horrible things, “then you are a gutter religion”. Then he ended his rant by referring to Larry King as “Mr. King”. All of a sudden Larry King woke up from his slumber and said “Please call me Larry”.
I find it hard to believe that Senator Obama was oblivious to Reverend Wright’s hateful comments about Israel and about Jews. In one of his taped rants, Wright yelled: “Israel, that dirty word”. If that is not antisemitism, then I don’t know what is.
I really think that the Reverend Wright is probably the best thing that could happen for the Juan McAmnesty campaign. Juan should just keep way out of this if he wants to get elected, however much that really depresses me.
I don’t think anyone is gullible enough to think that for 20 years Obama sat in the pews of Wright’s church, described him as his spiritual mentor, was married by him, had his two children baptized by him, and yet didn’t know about all this? If you believe that, I have some prime FL real estate for ya!

I agree.
I have discussed this with BO supporters and a majority of the time their response has been, “well he’s for hope and change”.
ARRGH!
Great column Michelle. Thank you.
Here’s some more Shuck n’ Jive…
Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe says, this morning:
“Now that Obama has divorced himself from Wright, whenever he’s asked about it, he can just brush it off”
miker, get your real estate contracts ready for mistressjustice, nyk, Rusty, littlegirlyman, sausage and any other loony lefty here on MM’s site I have neglected to mention.
too bad this is missed on the liberals. And MistressJustice(whatever her name is) doesn’t believe snakes can talk….
The ONLY new disclosures in Wright’s rants of the last few days were Wright’s disclosure that Obama
’s denouncements were merely political theater, and the Obama’s views were in line with Wright’s. That was it. Everything else has been said before.
Obama was rather teipd in distancing himself from Wright up until yesterday. Apparently Obama did not feel Wright’s past statements were all that bad. But when Wright dares to inform the world that Obama is with him on “white man’s greed” (a line from Obama’s book), Obama goes nuclear.
What Obama found objectionable was not Wright’s racist and hate filled words, but was Wright’s disclosures regarding Obama’s personal views. And it was not until that particular issue was found to have a negatve impact in the polls that Obama ratcheted up the denounce-o-meter.
Tells you a lot about the man.
Don’t forget about the other Albatross…Michelle “America is a mean Country” Obama.
Is Barry gonna’ divorce her, too?
I question the timing. This is a scam.It seems like the Rev’s 15 minutes of fame is stretching into 15 years already.I want him to keep it up with that street jive. Now if we can find a pastor for Hillery in this same mode we will be set.
The Democrats are starting to send up the ballons in the press that Obama cannot win in the national election now.The super-duper delegates are worried about siding with a loser. But, they are stuck with the alterantives that will split the party.I for one am enjoying their canabalism after all the years of their liberal hypocracy.
Jim M.
I agree with you 100%. When JW made the comment about Obama ‘doing what politicians do’, not once but twice[Larry King and NPC], he was intimating that Obama agreed with his theology. It is a measure of JW’s ego that he couldn’t bear to have the world to think that his oratory didn’t have an impact on Obama.
Obama is angry that JW has exposed Obama’s true feelings and philosophy, thereby stripping away the veneer of Obama’s campaign.
All we need now is, another interview with Jerry, denouncing this “divorce”
you jus’ KNOW it’s comin’, don’tcha’
Jim M. #35 is exactly right.
And don’t believe that Wright is done talking. A religious fraud hates nothing more than to be exposed for what he is. Just read through the Gospels, where Jesus repeatedly exposes the religious frauds of that day. They hated Him, plotted to kill Him, and then did just that.
Wright could either go after Obama now, or he could wait until near the November election and release his book that perhaps holds the “real truth” about what Obama believes. Obama has to be running scared.
BHO is in trouble no matter how he tries to control the damage. He is now contradicting himself over an over again. Wright is slick and experienced…BHO isn’t. Wright can come off less bombastic than he does at the pulpit but his true beliefs will still be made known. BHO has to appear as someone he isn’t because he has been caught, exposed, and can’t squirm away from the man he called his personal and spiritual leader and mentor.
The left and otherwise blind & ignorant will dismiss this whole thing but the true BHO is now out in the open. He cannot disconnect himself from 20 years with this extremist. His wife parrots Wright in a softer way be she echoes the same perception of America that Wright does. It is the fact that more people are now aware of where BHO has developed his vision and it is very, very ugly!
Saying he wouldn’t disown Wright anymore than he would the black church and community puts him in an impossible position to repudiate himself from the so called great speech in Philly just a few weeks ago.
Jive talk all you want sucker but more and more people now know who your really are….you are toast!
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews “leg tingle” has moved farther north as he and all the MSNBObama News Team have “soiled trou” doing everything they can to spin this into a Obama positive. And don’t expect them to report any more about Rev. Wright…he’s Jeremiah-who? over there.
Great column. Unfortunately the bulk of the MSM is all too happy to jump aboard the Jive-Talk Express.
Now Obama is actually truly appalled. Last week, and the 20 years leading up to it, not so much. The only difference between Wright’s rhetoric then and now is that Wright went after Obama in his most recent rants.
Michelle Obama is only really proud of America when she begins to benefit personally from America’s actions. Barack Obama is only opposed to Wright’s vile hate speech when he’s the personal target of it.
Anybody else notice a pattern here?
Jive Talk? I know Obama is half-black, but Jive Talk? What is this 1978, and even then his words wouldn’t be considered jive talk.
Mrs. Malkin you have officially morphed into an outdated, corny white person.
Wright is a nut. He is paranoid. But he is not a preacher of hate. That honor falls to the “God hates fags” conservative Christian movement. When Wright remembers the countless wrongs whites have committed against blacks, he’s remembering the truth.
Obama showed himself to be a man of character McCain can only dream of yesterday. Obama refuses to wallow in past wrongs but wants to move on toward a better America for all (OK, a bit over the top here).
McCain is busy staying in Iraq for 100 years (whether or not the shooting stops) and stopping the gas tax, which will not lower gas prices.
Well said, Michelle.
I think Obama was “shocked” and “outraged” and “saddened” because Wright had slapped him in the face. The pastor Obama “had come to know over 20 years” had turned on him and was deliberately trying to wreck his campaign, imo. Megalomaniacs can be extremely sensitive. If Wright had felt slighted by Obama, perhaps his urge to strike back was stronger than his desire to see his protege in the White House.
But that’s just me.
Prophesy 101 - I foresee a brilliant future for the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, right up alongside such other notables as the Rev. Al Sharpton, and, of course, the leader of the pack, the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
Jeremiah Wright has GOT to be itching to say something to the effect;”…it’s obvious that Obamas true color has come out…”
Obama had to know that this kook was going to be an issue, didn’t he? Is it possible that he is that stupid to think this ranting madman, who sells dvds of his greatest hits, would simply fade in to the background?
The media has egg on their face for pumping this fraud up but will still try to cover and spin for him. The problem is Wright won’t go away. If he really wanted BHO to win he would have become invisible when the dirt surfaced. Instead it’s obvious this jackass has a huge ego because he jumped at the chance to be in the spotlight thus doing more damage to BHO. And after being thrown under the bus to the degree he was yesterday, I can’t wait to see what he does now.
Popcorn time!
Definition of jive - glib, deceptive, or foolish talk b: the jargon of hipsters c: a special jargon of difficult or slang terms.
YAWWWWNNNNNN….
Do you suppose it’s too early for another new Gettysburg address?
Unfortunately, the MSM is going to eat up Obama’s speech and opine that “all is well; nothing to see here”. Keith Olbermann is already leading the way. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/
What is truly unfortunate is much of the American public will pay attention to the MSM’s analysis.
Please ignore him!
BAD DOG!!!
(how was that vickisoup??)
Fixed it a tad for you chief.
I wonder about all the MSM people who praised Wright’s Press Club speech the day it was given. Lots of drooling how Wright “hit a home run” and gave an uplifting and honest speech.
How do they react now that Obama has said the speech was repugnant?
Do they also now say the speech is to be condemned?
I was particularly offended by John Stewart, who showed a clip of Wright, then said “if my rabbi had as much ‘Game’ as Rev Wright, I wouldn’t have spent Passover eating a Burger King Croissanwich with bacon and cheese”.
John: does the Rev have ‘Game’ now?
LGM
Character?????? No interpretation of that press conference could be more 180 degrees backwards in light of his staunch defending of Wright up to this point.
I’m dropping in the polls so now I trash my mentor.
Good lord…character? There is help for such a delusional mind.
(I know IGNORE HIM)
The “truth” in all this is that Barry has come smack up against….dare I say it? MIDDLE AMERICA. Barry was shaken yesterday, because he was in shock. I expect we’ll continue to see him in shock because his explanations are just plain NONSENSE.
Barry has been quite comfortable in his little enclave in Illinois. He didn’t have to explain his actions or the actions of those he associated with because that’s just how things are in Illinois. Problem for Barry, it ain’t that way elsewhere.
What I find interesting is that Barry was upset when he finally saw the “performance” at the Press Club. Barry didn’t see the Wrightstuff struting his stuff at the church? He didn’t see Wright simulating riding Monica Lewinsky? He wasn’t upset or disgusted at that several months ago or even this past Monday.
As someone stated earlier, Wright hasn’t changed one bit. Barry changed and Barry didn’t want to change. That’s another problem for Barry, people can see a “change forced upon you,” and it isn’t pretty.
Yeah cute, 30 pcs.
If this were a white candidate we wouldn’t be talkin about “Jive Talk”. This stupidity was predictable at the point Barack became the likely nominee. I’m sure future blogs will be in a “dopey fresh rap style”. Whatever, it’s predictable, and corny, but not illegal. There’s no laws against being outdated and weak.
Obama says he does not hold the same views as Wright. Wright says he does. So who’s telling the truth?
Unfortunately for Obama, Wright’s views on the real Barak Obama are consistent with Obama’s own words. From Dreams From My Father:
On his experiences with white people growing up:
On the “white man’s rules”:
On how to deal with white people (including his grandmother):
Obama has become a master in employing those “tricks” he describes in his own book, as he so abley demonstrated yesterday. Jeremiah Wright must be proud of his influence and handiwork.

Exactly, rooster.
You beat me to it.
I believe this whole affair is nothing more than a ploy, where Obama gets an opportunity to look as if he’s acting responsibly and normally by “disowning” or “denouncing” Wright; and Obama thus gets a chance to put one over on the electorate, in which there are too many too gullible people.
By his appearances and statements, Wright is creating a sort of straw-man target for Obama.
This smells like the same BS of Bill Clinton’s “Sister Souljah” “moment” in 1992.
Conservative Christian here. We don’t hate “fags”.
We do, however, hate ignorace and stupidity. Oh, and we HATE trolls. They are evil and have no use in the real world.
Interesting that one can discern (albeit unfounded) racist statements in the host’s comments yet it is so hard to find in Wright’s sermons… What to do, what to do…
Last I checked Obie was half white and half black. I believe it is the Dems who refer to him solely as a black man and perhaps Obie himself. I don’t hear you slapping them down for their particularity for Obie’s black side…
Me thinks we are hearing from an expert in the field.

TADA!!! Nail on the head!

Who ever denied Wright had racist sermons?
Also, I sure as hell never call Malkin’s words racist. I said outdated, predictable, corny weak. I wonder if you could say that the words “jive talk” would ever be used for McCain, Hillary, Romney….
I get it, the Black guy, jive talks. Future blogs will have a Rap theme, or Obama is a “Superfly” pimp theme. It’s just too lame, easy and lazy.
Black- Obama can consider himself whatever the hell he wants, and the media followed his lead. The same goes for Halle Berry.
Tiger Woods wants to be Cablinasian. If it makes you feel better to call Obama white…have at it.
What is baffling to me is that O’s followers see this and continue to follow anyway.
But, then there are those who willingly walk into their eternal damnation rather then admit they are wrong.
lgm,
The victors of the war between the states wrote the history of slavery and injustice against blacks. That may be what you agree with and that is fine, but do a little digging and get the other sides story.Look into the South Was Right.I have never heard my pastor say anything against dikes and fairies nor freaks and hairies. All is welcome in our church, even you.
How is one to pick the least of evils from Juan McGigolo, Jillary Clintón, and Baksheesh Hussein Óbama?
Thats fantastic! Now I can add the Bulls#*! Box set to my CD collection! Man, tell me my life isn’t workin’ out.
I know…there it is- whitey’s fault again. Every problem known or identified. And should I forget, lgm and Rev Wright will make sure I remember.
If it weren’t you, it was someone of like mind claiming that “what he (Wright) said was wrong but it wasn’t racist.”
It was implied.
If there is no racial connotation to your comment regarding Michelle’s “jive talk” reference what is the purpose of the above and this:
This has absolutely nothing to do with my feelings. What I feel is unimportant. Obie has been a terrible candidate from the outset, the veil has been lifted and I don’t like what I see. Do you?
I beg to differ. One, you mischaracterize the conservative Christian movement as a monolithic group proporting that, “God hates fags”. Any Christian worth their salt knows God hates sin, not sinners. Classifying homosexual acts as sins is not hate speech. However, the phrase, “God hates fags,” is just plain wrong.
“God Hates Fags” and “God Hates Whitey” both are gross mischaracterizations of God that betray the hatred of those that preach it.
Might I also add that when Wright “remembers the countless wrongs whites have committed against blacks, he’s counting liberals like you too. He’s counting white people that weren’t even alive during slavery, segregration, or apharteid. He’s counting “whitey” in perpetuety.
Who’s wallowing? Obama wants to move on to the future, and quickly bury any of his past wrongs in connection with making Rev. Wright his pastor for 20 years.
A rather goodly portion of our current gas prices are state and federal taxes. Taking those taxes away will…
wait for it…
wait for it…
reduce the price! *gasp*
Not to mention, if we quite this ethanol blend enforcement, that will also go a long way to dropping prices on practically everything.
Obama joined the Trinity church for street cred in Chicago. He knew what the Rev. preached on Sunday mornings but it was okay because it helped him politically. But now it doesn’t so he’s tossed aside like yesterdays trash. I feel sorry for the Rev. in a way. I mean he thought he was going to be on the stage with wonder-boy when he announced his campaign, the last minute he’s thrown under the bus for the first time. I think Wright is enjoying this and seeing the empty suit squirm is the cherry on the sundae of his life.
JHSII, you’re right about that bus, there isn’t a whole lot of room left under it is there?
What a sad state of affairs. These three candidates are the best this country has?
Earlier, I had given up and decided to vote for Obama as a protest vote against McCain. How sick I am feeling that one of these three will be the President. I may just skip voting and insulate myself for the duration. How many illegals are going to get amnesty, driver’s licenses, free living expenses and healthcare? Doesn’t the will of “We the People” count for anything anymore? My family and friends are just as disgusted. What’s going on?
Wright says Obama knew all this and Obama says he didn’t.
With all the BS that have come out of the rev’s mouth I don’t know that I’ve seen a lie.
Those who continue to support Obama probably feel like the poor sap who’s trying to win at the “shell game”, but he keeps picking the wrong shell or card everytime and keeps losing his money, because the game is rigged by the operator. It has the appearance of fairness but is actually phony, a scam. Whether the “mark” keeps on playing, that’s up to him.
Ladies and Gentleman,
Obama will not win FL and will not win PA. His campaign, nomination or not - is over.
The only thing that remains to be seen here is if Hillary gets the Dem nod.
All else is theater.
ODumber is finding out that what is expedient for local politics(his relationships with fiery anti-american pastors, and local terrorist heroes like Ayers), is fatal to national elections. Im no body language expert, but watching that performance of his yesterday, (stuttering, looking down all the time) he didnt believe a word that he said.
Yeah, right. Having to answer tough questions about a radical preacher = five-and-a-half years of torture in a POW camp.
The sad part is, you really believe the stuff you say.
Tiger is Half Thia and Afro/
He’s Tigro……….
and can swing a mean club
Jeremiah Wright may be a race-baiting bigot, but for now, his story is the same today as it was yesterday. He’s so set in his ways he hasn’t learned the art of changing his stripes the way his mentee does on the fly. But you never know; even an old dog can be taught new tricks.
To MistressJustice, The phrase “Superfly” applies to Jimmy “Superfly” Snooka. If you don’t remember him, you are definitely not retro.
Following soap’s example…
I’m not a Christian. And i don’t hate gay people. I simply dont agree with their lifestyle, for a couple of reasons. But in liberal ideology, not agreeing with them is the same as hate. From everything i’ve read and seen, for the faithful liberal, there is no “agreeing to disagree”. It’s their way or the highway. There’s no room for discussion.
OK, 2 outta 3 aint bad.
lgm apparently has had pressed the mute button on his tv, avoided radios and not had closed caption turned on, because anyone with 3 brain cells can see what Wright is talking about isn’t all “puppies and sunshine”. His “truth” and reality, methinks, are not really in the same ballpark. If you actually care to read, listen, or pay attention, i’m sure you can see that for yourself.
and mistressjustice…you may not agree with our gracious host. you may not like what she says, how she says it, or anything about this place. But the fact you’ve been nothing but condescending and unproductive, and have YET to say anything even remotely intelligent, isnt getting you any brownie points. And that’s no jive.
Bravo!
I disagree on the gas price issue. As soon as the tax is stopped (temporarily) the oil companies will take advantage and raise their prices. When the taxes are re-implemented - bango - $5 per gallon.
Depending on how things go for Obama, all those Democrats lamenting the existence of superdelegates might quickly change their tune.
30 pieces, nothing racist was implied. My whole point has a racial component, and that sure as hell doesn’t mean I’m calling Malkin a racist. Seriously. An afrocentric blog could paint Obama in the same stereotypical manner, and it wouldn’t be racist, but lame, pointless and stupid. Hillary, McCain and Romney would never be accused of jive talkin. This blog entry isn’t racist, and nor have I accused it of such. You can bet you sweet one there is a “racial” connotation, that isn’t racist, but rather cringe worthy and dumb.
I have said repeatedly that the Wright issue can sink Obama, I think he’s handling things much better, but way late. Will I vote for him over John effing McCain? Yes, in a hearbeat. Every election in my lifetime has come down to the lesser of 2 evils. Wrightgate doesn’t bother me as much as a 3rd Bush term in my weighing process.
Thank you, Pete Townshend!
we won’t get fooled again. =}

Jive talk is speech that bogus, false, or untrue coined in the 1930’s and 40’s by African Jazz musicians. There’s really no pejorative meaning to the word unless you’re a PC racist like yourself.
I happen to white and with an Asian woman working on a PhD in piano performance in NYC. She has had so many troubles from racist, liberal scum like you it makes my blood boil. What is it with you people? Anyone who’s an Asian and a cut above the rest has to be torn down, especially if they’ll quite normal and not weird like Yoko Ono.
Give MM a break it’s not her fault for being born smarter than you.

Sure. Although, far, far, far worse things regularly appear in the comments on this blog.
Not up for spending 100 years in Iraq, huh? What a quitter you are…
It does not matter how little room is left under the bus.
In a Conservative camp, we ask someone who has does something wrong to jump under the bus on their own, in accordance with their guilt or even many times, only because of the appearance of their guilt.
(Was Scooter Libby’s inability to recall any worse a case of perjury than Bill Clinton’s I did not have hanky panky with that woman - claim to perjury fame)
The dems only resort to throwing someone under the bus when it is the politically expedient thing to do at the time.
No matter how crowded it gets under there, there will be many more people thrown under there soon enough.
Excellent.
If they were would you be here arguing against it?
ok…
I know I am stating the obvious here. But it’s your vote and you can do whatever you want with it.
I’m starting to smell a BIG rat…
I found this buried deep in a article on the CBSNews website:
…”In a New York Times profile of the Obama-Wright relationship in April 2007, Wright himself predicted such a split based on the controversial remarks that were already under some scrutiny. “If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Wright told the paper over a year ago. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said yeah, that might have to happen.”
And I thought Professional Wrestling was fake…
