John Galt can't make a valley big enough to protect all of us while we wait for this nation to destroy itself with socialism and worker's rights.

I propose we make the valley much, much bigger.

Why not get rid of the North American borders entirely. Let everybody in then the entire continent can unite together, have a group hug, and gripe about how cruel and unfair life is here in North America.
Why do people want to come here anyway? Everyone complains of being victimized, and are continually whining about oppression .If it's so bad stay home or leave but please be thankful of where you are!

Point 1. Actually, many who have looked at the issue believe it does not need a constituional amnedment. Just clarification. When congress passed this amendment they apparently left something in that left the door open for further interpretaiton if needed (I am no expert, just read). In fact, they purposely excluded foreign dignitaries such as ambassadors. So why allow illegals this benefit? It was meant to ensure slaves were not denied citizenship. When challenged, appeals courts also left it open for congress to change it, but was not that big of an issue till recent times (never been to SCOTUS). Even Canada, and all European countries got rid of birthright citizenship as they saw it was so ridiculous and abused. We are the only 1st world country left with this silly parctice. It muddies up any sort of mass deportations and is abused horribly by people and organized crime from all over the world. Common sense dictates we must change this. Even if it did require a constituional amendment, then so be it. The constitution can be modified though it is difficult.

Point 2 on your list. I am aware of the verify system but it is not required and must be fool proof which i am not sure it is. By fool proof I mean it would flag duplicates, cross reference last known locations (for example, if Jose submits SS# for a landscape job in CA and the SS# and tax reocrds show last filing wsa done in NY by a Wall Street banker making $500K/yr, should be obvious fake). Also, ages should be considered if valid SS# belongs ot a 5 year old and somebody uses on job application. Just common sense stuff to weed out abuse.

I work at a party store and we sell Mexican flag balloons for cinco de mayo.
The one already blown up for sale I made ssure to surround with patriotica(with a managers help. heh.)
Since I'm working today I've decided that if I get any "requests" for that balloon I'll call someone to hand it over too.
I'll put on some red/white/blue gear as well.
We have a lot of Mexicans in my area.
Some are Patriotic citizens.
Not all.
My little act of "rebellion" may get me fired.
No matter. My husband has a real job-and a little statement is better than none.
-annoying little twerp

Stop the Separation of families</blockquote>
I have no problem with that one. I hate it when they get deported and leave jackpot babies behind.

I would like to see illegal’s put as much effort into fixing their blatantly corrupt countries as they do breaking into ours and demanding rights for which they are not entitled too. The MSM can romanticize them as honest hard working people seeking the American dream but the reality is they are either to lazy or do not care enough about their own nations to fight for change. Our corrupt government allows it to continue. Maybe it’s we who need to put some effort forth to fix the problem?

May 1st will be another "The whole world is watching" yawn fest. Lots of marches and protests in oh so predictable cities. What they always fail to grasp is that, while it seems like a big deal to them at the time, in the big scheme of things it amounts to comical fart in the wind. Sorry May 1st '08 crowd, the revolution ain't gonna happen any time soon. LOL!

Cinco de mayo (or however it's spelled, I don't care) should be completely revamped into Border Enforcement Day. That's the only way it'll ever be more than just a day on the calendar for me.

Grumbles,

Yes. I meant exactly what I stated.
My neighborhood have had burglaries, shootings, etc., by illegals.

Since I live alone, YES, I would shoot a male that does NOT speak English if I felt threatened. They do go door to door too. Could be the same ones committing the crimes occurring.
