Hillary advisor Mickey Kantor dissed Indiana voters in 1992; Update: Kantor's mad; Update: Dirty trick
Scroll down for updates…
An old video snippet (I believe it’s from The War Room documentary) of Bill Clinton campaign operatives Mickey Kantor, George Stephanopoulos, and James Carville gloating about election returns has now made its way onto YouTube and is getting passed around on the left-wing blogs. (It’s currently featured on Digg, Kos, DU, and more. And I’ve gotten several e-mails about it this morning.) In the clip, Kantor is seen dissing Indiana voters as “sh*t” and whispering to Stephanopoulos: “How would like to be a worthless white nigger?”
Obama people are apparently behind the move to disseminate the video–as obvious pushback against the Snobama rap. It’s 16 years old and Kantor plays a nominal advisor role in the Hillary ’08 campaign. But hey, whoever’s behind it and however old it is, it’s an always welcome reminder that both Democrat presidential candidates’ camps share cynical contempt for the bitter, clingy, God-fearing, gun-toting voters in flyover country. Not news to the rest of us.
Maybe Stephanopoulous will ask Hillary about it during his “Town Hall” with her on Sunday. Her answer, naturally, should be, “You know, this conversation doesn’t help my kids:”
Update: Kantor’s steaming.
Update: Dirty trick.
I love how I’m going to get blamed for a vid clip circulated by the nutroots.
