Stupid anti-McCain stunt of the week
If they really wanted to push his buttons and address a real policy issue, they would press him hard about his open-borders Hispanic outreach director Juan Hernandez and his anti-assimilation campaign finance co-chair Jerry Perenchio, challenge his coziness with La Raza, and expose his border security double-talk.
But they’re the nutroots.
So never mind.

More from the Des Moines Register:
A Clive man drew gasps from fellow audience members at today’s presidential candidate forum by using a four-letter word in a question to Sen. John McCain.
A member of the audience, identified as Marty Parrish of Clive, asked McCain during the event at the Polk County Convention Complex about a rumor that McCain had once used a profane word referencing female genitalia to describe his wife.
A book, “The Real McCain” by Cliff Schecter, accuses McCain of using the word in an exchange with his wife, Cindy, in 1992.
AdvertisementHere’s a transcript of today’s remarks:
PARRISH: This question goes to mental health and mental health care. Previously, I’ve been married to a woman that was verbally abusive to me. Is it true that you called your wife a (expletive)?
MCCAIN: Now, now. You don’t want to … Um, you know that’s the great thing about town hall meetings, sir, but we really don’t, there’s people here who don’t respect that kind of language. So I’ll move on to the next questioner in the back.
The audience gasped at the question and applauded at McCain’s handling of it. Parrish was escorted from the event and questioned by Secret Service, but not charged. Parrish had checked in to the event as a member of the press.
Parrish is identified as a “Baptist minister.”
He’s a former Joe Biden campaign worker and Obama supporter.

I have NO use for McCain for reasons no doubt familiar to all of you, starting with his current advisers and ranging back through all his RINO positions and the taint of corruption from the s/l debacle in the 70′s. But who else is there to vote for? A write-in would only elect a corrupt democrat leftist seller of arms and technology to China or a democrat America-hating dummy who would bend over for the Iranian mullahs and the Palistinians and Hugo Chavez and Kim Jong Il and invade our allies, the Pakistanis.
Whoops. Shouldn’t have called Obama a dummy. He just isn’t quite as smart as he thinks he is.
Most libs aren’t as clever as they think they are either. Anyone with an IQ above room temperature should realize that cute little tricks like Parrish’s only make the trickster look bad.
ABSTRACTMIND, although it was long ago, Obummer and others feel that all white people are still afraid, which is typical of us, and therefore our fear and guilt will make us vote for him so the bogey man won’t get us. I’m not guilty nor am I afraid, so, therefore, I’m not voting for him. If that makes me racist, then so be it.
makes 2 of us, henry…
glad we’re not “typical white people”
Here’s an interview with Obama supporter Marty “the C**t” Parrish.

Also, one thing to keep mind is that McCain is only alleged to have said that to his wife. It could well be true. However, the sources are anonymous, and the campaign has denied the story, so unless there’s better verification, the c-word allegation is very sketchy.
Once again we see over-reaching by Government operatives. Boorish as the question was, what on earth rationale short of pure harassment could the Secret Service be using to “interview” this fellow?
Aww someone concerned about the “kids”:
.
Well I know some paleo-conservatives who don’t consider any type of discussion related to partisan politics outside a history or civics classroom to be appropriate for kids
I believe its standard protocol for events involving high profile people under secret service protection to be interviewed by them anytime an issue comes up.
Could be wrong, but i’m pretty sure thats standard proceedure.

What the hell does this mean? Since when is your own house “public” domain? Did anybody catch this stupidity? Last time I checked there wasn’t a bunch of Bolsheviks hanging out in my friggin’ living room like a scene from Dr. Zhivago. So, by your logic, this sub moron gets a pass by you because we supposedly use vulgarity in our private houses; that’s dumb on your part and you show your outright stupidity. Just because I speak like a longshoreman in the field doesn’t mean I’d go up to Mother Theresa and drop the “C” bomb on her. Most human beings show deference where it’s warranted as they work on spiritual growth and moral code; which I happen to think is the primary reason for being on the planet. I’m tired of people taking the shotgun approach when they see something written that emotionally derails them.
I’m sure the Secret Service asked him to watch the language. I bet his parishoners are just thrilled to hear that type of language from a Minister. Again, Democrat or Republican, no excuse for that type of language.
I believe the C-word has long, long, surpassed the N-word as the ugliest, most offensive word in the english language. It can cause any room, with any type of people to stop cold and squirm uncomfortably. That being said, it’s none of our business how John Sidney and Cindy McCain talk to each other(if the allegations are true). The minister was just trying to get some free publicity and press, and again probably won a bet. He didn’t care what McCain’s answer was. Their marriage dialogue is between those two, Period. It doesn’t involve the electorate as long as he doesn’t call us next Tuesday…..who cares?
Well said lgm re: post 33.
I would like to add that the question was way over the line, and that McCain handled it well.
I will give him credit where its due.
Crass. No matter what his occupation is, that guy should be embarrassed!
Did anyone catch Cindy McCain on Jay Leno the other night? Wow! She is one personable lady. Bright, full of good humor, a great interviewee, and very, very easy on the eyes! What an asset to the senator!
I don’t think you’ll get Irish Rose to understand the concept of personal responsibility for posts. I mean her & LGM can’t get past being responsible for themselves apart from the Government, let alone what they or other posters write.
It’s the typical liberal thought process.. It’s always someone elses fault. ~Dan Lee

Well you know, they do say “Opposites Attract”.. haha

Oh wait… Irish Rose says isn’t a Liberal? Well see.. McCain says that about himself too, & I still can tell the difference between him & a Liberal..
I mean Rhino’s would normally stick together in the wild too right??
Here’s the point your missing Rose. McCain is a fake, & real Conservatives are rightfully angry that he’s even gotten this far.
You’re defending one of the biggest farces the Republican Party has ever perpetrated on Conservatives & our Country. Don’t expect people to sing along gleefully..

I agree. Now Michelle Malkin needs to stop criticizing Arriana Huffington’s blog because of the glass house Mrs. Malkin happens to reside in. That’s all.
I somehow doubt this bozo is a “Baptist Minister.” Sounds more like Arianna Huffington’s way of slandering Baptists: designating ridiculous people like Marty Perish as “baptist” just in case anyone notices the dumb things they say.
Huffington contributors call Bush a satanist? Well they have a right to, they’re baptist ministers.
SF Chronicle calls Laura Bush a doormat? It’s okay, you’d agree with him because he’s a baptist minister…just like Mike Huckabee don’t you see!!
I think Marty Parrish will be exposed, not as a ‘baptist minister’ but as a usual anti-christian lefty that usually populates the Huffington Pothole.
I hate the c-word, but I would disagree, n-word carries far more hate, vulgarity and downright nastiness to it.
Completely agree
#116 – glass house according to whom?
Arianna Huffington carries little if any credibility with her.
Malkin and her are like apples and oranges.

You guys are so funny and clever. Dhimmicrap! Yuckyuckyuck!
So, LGM, then why didn’t he disown Wright?
