Anecdotally, it sounds believeable to me that Janice Hahn would engage such dumb behavior. She wins the prize for being the dumbest member of the City Council on a consistent basis – which is saying something since there are some olympic quality idiots on the Council.

Being in a gang is not a crime. We have a Bill of Rights to protect that. It is the crimes that need to be addressed. Better people who understand the problem as it exists to help solve the problem then when Laura Bush was set up to head anti-gang efforts.

Did you even watch the video lgm? Or did you conveniently skip over the part where Hahn admits to hiring gang members as gang intervention workers (but denies paying them for it)? Did you then miss the part where police officers Chuck Garcia and Ryan Moreno who worked as gang officers for 10 years claim that gang intervention workers were getting paid to help stop gang violence but were part of the problem and not really stopping anything?

Oh I forgot, facts and testimony from police officers don’t matter to ~~liberals~~ trolls sticking up for their own. So much for the criminals vs public servant argument. But don’t worry, I clearly expect from you the retort of “well these two officers have it our for Hahn since they lost their jobs as gang officers for actually doing their job and putting away violent thugs in prison and are now suing the city”. It would be funny if it were not so predictable.

While the Marines may not be available to quell insurrection, the National Guard has long been used to settle civil dissent and keep the peace on American soil.

The regular Armed Forces Personnel with them would just be there in an advisory capacity

I’m for letting the Marines take care of gang bangers. They are by definition terrorist and just need killin’. One or two Cobra helicopters over south central L.A. ought to do the trick.

No crime will ever stop unless the consequences make getting caught unacceptable to most criminals.
