Obama gives lots of press conferences. He gets tough frustrating questions. He answers them calmly though firmly and often with humor.

As for McCain’s character: he turned livid in front of TV cameras denouncing torture and loudly sponsored an amendment that would ban it. Then he stood smiling by Bush as he signed the bill while promising to ignore the amendment. Now McCain is pro torture. There’s a man of principle.

What color is the sky in the Bizarro world in which you live? If any candidate is against torture, it is likely to be McCain, who suffered more torture than any of them or us.

Obama knew that any decent person that loves this country wouldn’t want a President with a spiritual guide and moral mentor of this caliber. He clearly agrees with Wright that they would have to “publicly” distance themselves. No one will ever convince me that Obama wasn’t lying when he said he had never hear Wright say those things. And no one will convince me that they have privately distanced themselves either.
