Primary day: The final countdown
Good Tuesday, Starbucks-free morning. It’s primary day in Indiana and North Carolina. WaPo has a little primer. Obama clings–heh–to a small lead in NC. Ipsos shows Clinton overtaking Obama nationally.
Much more as the day proceeds. For now, I give you Europe. The end is not quite nigh, but we’re getting there:

I vote today in the Indiana Primary…God be with us all.
Concerning this primary;
What’s the differance between the marxist and the socialist who are running in this race ?
Would LOVE to see Clinton divide that party.
maine yankee said:
The marxist will have you driven from your home in the middle of the night and sent to a gulag. The socialist is very friendly at cocktail parties, just watch your wallet.
We’re so proud of you! DD is a better cup of coffee anyhow.
I say we start a DD fund to help Michelle out. I’ll buy the first cup!
No thanks, you keep it.
Didn’t we give that back… I mean, who wants it after all.
So Hoosier TarHeel D. Choice?
(a headline just aching for a story)
Not much play on in the MSM on that Ayers stomping the American flag photo, guess we’ll have to keep it for reference for the general.
why on all the T.V. programs they are making it sound like El Skanky has a chance? she’s toast no matter what. Adding McCan-O-Worms better chose wisely for VP to get my vote or I’m writing in this guy.
B.T.C
Here’s hoping for an interesting outcome. As much as we hate “she who must be named” in our household we find ourselves actually hoping she will win the nomination. At least she is a known evil unlike the empty suit and the upside is she just might tear her party apart in the process.
I personally hope Hillary wins this and drags this debate out until the very end. Maybe eventually, enough (if there are enough left) of the rational Americans on both sides of the aisle may just wake up and realize that ALL of these choices are representative of crime, corruption, pork-barrel politics and personal power and NONE could give a damn about we the people unless we are mindless nimrods sucking at the government teat waiting for them to drop us some crumbs from their table and be grateful for it.
Personally, I prefer Seattle’s Best Coffee. It may be hard to swallow ANYTHING coming from Seattle at first, but that was by far, the BEST cup of coffee I ever had.
IMHO
Michelle, you are such a geek with that youtube link.
And I say that with a lot of affection…
Obama clings–heh–to a small lead in NC.
I just hope he doesn’t get all bitter about it.
It’s been said before, but McCain’s dream scenario is for Obama to maintain a lead in the delegate count, but for Hillary to get the nomination from the super-delegates.
Krispy Kreme and a tall glass of milk for me. The coffee comes later, but it won’t be *$ that’s for sure.
As for the primaries, I think we’re going to see a continuation of the ugly, growing trend in the Democrat party - blacks voting for Barack (even though he is not black!), whites voting for HRC. It’s a sad commentary on the state of Democrat politics.
My bet is Michelle sips coffee from Batangas. As for myself, gonna need something alot stronger before voting today. Opening the bars for THIS election cycle makes perfect sense.
Europe and Obama - hopefully two one-hit wonders.
One as testicles and the other is black.
(apologies to Carville)
Gah! WP really needs to have the typical “120 seconds to edit” thing that others have.
Should be
“One has testicles and the other is black.”
Does anyone not believe that the super delegates will vote for Obama to avoid angering the black voters? From what I read B. Hussein is not an African-American. His paternal side’s mixture of races makes him Arabic. He doesn’t want you bring up his middle name. Of course it is fine to call Bush Dubya or even Hitler.
Seems possible now that Hillary will be the one who’d perservere in Iraq and she wants the world to see her as one tough cookie. And I suppose being on the outs with the fever swamp left means she owes them nothing. But then, how many blacks would stay home and not vote in general election? Boo hoo. Identity politics again. Obama is the most left candidate probably to ever run in USA, at least in past 100 years. But some will look at his youth and “blackness” and the BS Hope! and Change! talk and fall for it even if they are not sexually aroused like some in the media.
#2…ankles
Be prepared for the riots if obummer does not get the nod.
Given the quality of the Democrats’ nominees, it’s a shame that they all can’t lose.
TT, not too excited about the “R” either.
This will go all the way to the convention and will probably remind us of the great Chicago convention with its riots. I think it will get very ugly. Both will be arguing over who stole the nomination all the way to November. Howard Dean is afraid to make a decision fearing he will upset one or the other. If the figure is correct about 30% not voting in the general election if their candidate loses, then we won’t have to worry about either one of them. We then just have to worry about how McCain will sell us out.
The super delegates will vote for who ever pays the most for their vote.
I believe McCain will give the Rep party the death blow and have a true liberal as a running mate. My money is still on Rudy.
But they aren’t being racist when they vote like that, they’re expressing their “die-versitee!”
I want to see this on a bumper sticker:
“When a conservative expresses prejudice, it’s called racism.
When a liberal expresses prejudice , it’s called diversity.”

I submitted that quote for the Starbucks “The Way I see it” cup quote contest, but it didn’t win.
You are exactly right. I plan on visiting my parents in Sevierville, TN on the night of the DNC primary (and maybe Election Day). There’s no way I’m staying in Chicago if judgement day comes.
Me neither. But it’s not about me or my excitement level. I’m not excited about the choices, but there’s no doubt in my mind who’s better for the country.
Not a big primary follower usually, but…
I would submit that no matter who wins, its still 2 big losers involved regardless.
Three of the 7 seven dwarfs running for prez. who would have thought…
Grumpy….
Dopey ….
Sleepy….
“The Final Countdown”…
Hmmmm. This should be played on the floor of the convention. No?
Huh, I wasn’t aware that the votes of the people mattered to democrats. Wasn’t it Howard Dean who said that this nomitation snafu needs to be resolved now (i.e., before Indian, NC, WV, and Montana had voted)?
Its hard to imagine that there is someone worse than “the smartest woman in the world” running for POTUS. I didn’t think it was possible, but but BHOdrama showed up.
Yes, cicero, as I have posted before, if BHOdrama doesn’t get the nomination there will be violence, civil disobedience, and plenty of hating on whitey around the country. If he gets the nomination and loses the general, refer to previous sentence. Oh yeah, and I’m sure when Mr and Mrs Odrama tell the rioters to stop they will listen
hahahaha!
Can you imagine a Republican with the farthest right voting record even trying to run for POTUS? Its all you would see on the MSM, a daily trashing of the most despicable kind with non-stop attacks. Why is it that THE most far left Senator can run and be adored, but the most far right would never ever get a fair shake? Scares the hell out of me.
AJ …
this is one time I feel sure that if “None of the Above” was at the bottom of the ballot it would win hands down …
Today is the day. I can finally cast my primary vote. I hope for the Democratic primary to continue on to August, but I won’t be crossing over and voting Democrat. There’ll be enough Hoosiers to vote for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
And I will be voting for John McCain. To vote for Ron Paul or write in any other name serves no purpose.
Mcaine gets my vote in november. today i vote H.R. “Puffnstuff” Clinton. Just dong my part to keep obummer at bay.
just doing…i need to proof read
Roughly the difference between the Trotskyites and the Stalinites.
Fixed it for ya.
Good choice in music, MM, despite what the savages say
. Now, I’m going to have to steal that for the day before I go on vacation

WP AJAX Edit Comments works pretty well at my place (from WP 2.2 on through 2.5.1, so we’re in the wheelhouse here), and I’ve got a few others with WP blogs to use it with no complaints back to me. I don’t know if it works with AJAX Comment Preview (though it does with Filosofo Comments Preview).
Like my Grandfather used to say…”Vote Early and OFTEN!”
The only difference between Marxism and socialism is that socialism’s policies are less intense and it’s nicer about them. They have essentially the same goals and means for getting there; the difference is one of degree, not substance.
Yuck, I just urped up my Folgers coffee. Where did you dig up this 80’s big hair band?
Somewhat OT: Paul campaign never ended, according to spokesman.
OooooooK.
