In the UK today, if one does not wholly subscribe to the church of "Climate Change", that person is ridiculed and chided to the point of destruction. BTW, the Brits are very careful about verbiage - this is why it is known there as "Climate Change" instead of "Global Warming". Can't argue a vague description like that. Mt. Pinatubo dumped more CFC's in to the atmosphere in 1 hour than Man has in his entire history. All "Green" arguments wither at the base of that fact.

When the greens stop using petroleum based computer casings (get off the internt completely) and start riding horses again, they will cease to be hypocrites.

They will, however, still be closet Communists (Communism is bad - just had to remind you Lefties. 50 Million murdered- remember?).

Alright Conservatives, Listen up!

Not every ecological minded person wants socialism. Socialism is an evil that's as bad as sharia law or the Nazis. Yes, the eco-nuts should keep politics out of it, but their liberal activism, lack of self-discipline and white guilt just keeps getting in the way.

BUT, you guys and gals can still recycle and reduce pollution. It doesn't make you a hippie or some deluded leftist, it's called being responsible, you know, that word you're always touting and rightly so.

But if you REALLY want a smaller government, then use the resources wisely. There's much more important issues than global warming right now.

So please, recycle, don't pollute any more than you need to. For God and country!

These people prove what they say: being sensitive to global warming does not mean living in a yurt (google it) without electricity or cars. It means finding ways to do most of what we want to do in a way that doesn’t warm the planet. It’s possible to have a negative carbon footprint and still jet set around.

No, but it's awfully hard to do that. The very best thing Al Gore can do is to lead by example if he wants to go out and be Mr. Global Warming, a title he has wholeheartedly embraced for his political career.

Wait, how did cyclones happen before global smarming…I mean, warming

There were no cyclones. You see, before the modern industrial age humankind lived in harmony with nature in a state of eternal bliss. There was no war, famine, disease, bad weather, or cuss words. Children played happily while while the women tended their organic gardens and men went hunting (but only after making offerings to the Great Spirit and saying sorry for killing his creations) This all changed in 1980 when Reagan was elected and it has been downhill ever since.

converting “Global Warming” into “Climate Change.”

Exactly.
When it's hot out there claim "Global Warming" due to evil, selfish mankind.
When data starts suggesting things are getting cooler, claim "Climate Change" due to evil, selfish mankind.

When cyclones and hurricanes occur, it's due to "Global Warming/Climate Change"
When you point out these things have probably happened since the dawn of earth; "Well it's more severe now!"

Anyone see the gigantic volcanic eruption in Chile today?

Anyone remember scientific analysis which showed that the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption spewed more carbon soot into the atmosphere than the entire US industrial revolution?

In the larger scheme of things, the human environmental movement is nothing more than pissing into a hurricane.

#54 storm asks:

What happens if the world starts to cool. Do the carbon foot print people give refunds?

Great question, but I think the saviors of the world have already hedged themselves by converting "Global Warming" into "Climate Change."

Now, I believe they are more concerned with "temperature fluctuation" than with their original computer model-generated prediction of a one degree increase in global temperature over the next 100 years.

By the way, what ever happened to their theories that styrofoam cups were going to punch actual holes into the ozone layer, or that breast implants, alar and DDT cause cancer? How are those theories doing?

I believe I have the answer.

Global warming has been attributed to, of all things, cow farts. If someone has the link for a story, I dont right now...but that was in the news previously.

Now.

Myanmar is in the same geographical region as India, in Southeast Asia.

As a result, and because of the rather large amount of cattle found there, the massive amount of cattle gas found there has drastically altered warming patterns! It just fits too well, so it has to be the problem! Get rid of the cows, get rid of the problem!

Bovine flatulance?

How about Bovine Scatology. ROFL

I'm not making light of the tragedy that took place there, by any means. I will, however, make fun of ManBearPig when he makes ridiculous claims like this being caused by "climate change".
