Top 10 reasons McCain should repudiate the National Council of La Raza
I told you yesterday about John McCain’s plans to speak to the National Council of La Raza (The Race) in July. Here are the top 10 reasons he should repudiate the radical open borders, speech-squelching group that he has long embraced:
10. La Raza supports driver’s licenses for illegal aliens.
9. La Raza supports in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding US citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.
8. La Raza opposes cooperative immigration enforcement efforts between local, state, and federal authorities.
7. La Raza sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars, including the “Aztlan Academy” in Tucson, AZ, the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, AZ, and Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn.
6. La Raza gives mainstream cover to a poisonous subset of ideological satellites, led by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), which the late GOP Rep. Charlie Norwood rightly characterized as “a radical racist group…[and] one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.”
5. La Raza opposes a secure fence on the southern border.
4. Former La Raza president Raul Yzaguirre, Hillary Clinton’s Hispanic outreach advisor said this:
“US English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks.” He was referring to US English the nation’s oldest, largest citizens’ action group dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States.
La Raza also pioneered Orwellian open-borders Newspeak and advised the Mexican government on how to lobby for illegal alien amnesty while avoiding the terms “illegal” and “amnesty.”
3. La Raza is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable TV networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves–in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes.
2. La Raza has consistently opposed post-9/11 national security measures at every turn.
1. The National Council of La Raza means The National Council of “The Race,” for God’s sake.
Their signature slogan, chanted at pro-illegal alien rallies from coast to coast, is “La raza unida nunca sera vencida.”
“A united [Hispanic] race will never be defeated.”
What possible good will come out of a GOP presidential candidate giving legitimacy and credibility to a sovereignty-undermining, assimilation-rejecting, law-defying group that calls itself “The Race?”
***
I agree that John McCain should not attend any conference of a group called “National Council of the Race.” In a multiracial society, Rev. Wright’s “rich white folks,” Obama’s “typical white person”, and clingers comments, and the idea of “The Race” will eventually doom us all. And it’s time no one gets a pass any more.
Jonathan Martin cluelessly suggests that McCain is “trying to show that he’s not George W. Bush by going into the lion’s den and taking hostile, unscripted questions from adversarial groups.”
Hostile? Adversarial? Do your homework, MSM.
McCain was honored by The Race in 1999, keynoted The Race’s 2004 conference, and has championed their agenda for years.

Yeah, um….
History has shown that to not exactly be the case.
I’m just sayin’.
Your Top Ten Michelle- should be EVERY AMERICAN with a brain’s Top 10. Sadly, John McCain is suffering from anencephaly.
Several of the points made in the 10 reasons would pretty much apply to McCain also….
It would appear la raza and cair have alot in common. Both are trying to force their views on American’s. Both don’t seem to give a flit what we American’s think about them. Both are using the courts and elected to see they get their way.
L
What is this guy’s deal? What is Bush’s deal?
I just cannot come up with why these guys are so pro-illegal-immegration!
I hear Frederick, MD is going to start implementing Prince William County type crackdowns on illegals…
When will these polititions start realizing the the average American is tired of this non-sence?
La Raza is McCain’s Jeremiah Wright; and he did it to himself. I feel for The Arizona Goldwater conservatives; what’s left of them.
Juan McCain definitely ate the worm at the bottom of that Tequila bottle.. ~ Dan Lee
True. In fact, it has been entirely the opposite for the majority of their history. With the exception of whupping the Fwench on Cinco de Mayo, but c’mon - they were Fwench and that can hardly be counted as a real win.
Does anyone know if McCain was ever stationed in San Diego while on active duty? Because if he was, and he were to compare San Diego back then to what it is now, I think he might come to understand what we have to fear wrt to unfettered illegal immigration from the south.
I grew up in San Diego in the 60s-80s and every time I return it feels less and less like the US and more like Tiajuana, both culturally and economically.
On the other hand, no one on the other side is going to call him on it.
So maybe he’s just “reaching across the aisle” again. /sarc
I am getting depressed. (I am just not sure how much longer this slight lady with the passion and the intellect on fire — MM — can hold back all the assaults on our little island of civilization. Especially so when most of our own leaders are ready to sellout American sovereignty on every front.)
Correction: previous post reads “sellout”; should read “give away.”
Oh he’s reaching across alright.. His hole body is on the left side of the aisle, & he’s got one hand reaching onto the right side of it with his middle finger sticking up.. ~Dan Lee
“La raza unida nunca sera vencida.”
Tell that to the middle-class in mexico.
A possible rousing speech capper for McCain:
God bless America…
no,no,no!
gawd d*mn the law!
Just to throw this in…
I’m not sure if the list our lovely hostess provided is reasons McCain *shouldnt* support them…
Or represents his agenda list.
Likely, its both.
McCain deserves a slap in the face and to be thrown in jail for treason for supporting the Mexican KKK (aka La Raza). The only reason they have a voice at all is because politicians fear being labeled a racist if they don’t agree with these bunch of racists.
Michelle,
The quote attributed to Raul Yzaguirre that you got from sweet-light.com, which they got from his Wikipedia entry is no longer there. I would check to confirm he actually said that.
“Oh he’s reaching across alright.. His hole body is on the left side of the aisle, & he’s got one hand reaching onto the right side of it with his middle finger sticking up.. ~Dan Lee”
Brilliant! I despise McCain and I dread the prospect of having to vote for him as the (barely) lesser of two evils.
McCain is a disaster of a nominee and an even worse POTUS. I am tired of people haranguing people like me who point this out as not being smart to see the bigger picture.
Voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil. Frankly the few areas where McCain is supposed to be palatable (Taxes & Judges) is not even close to a sure thing.
*See above and just the middle finger reaching right.
Hey, that French outfit was the Foreign Legion who actually do fight, they numbered about 60 to the 2000 Mexicans they faced.
They only lost because they were too few, the Mexicans too many, they ran out of ammo, made a last bayonet charge which wiped out all but two of them who were allowed to live because of their deterimination not to give up - they preferred to die than surrender.
And the Mexicans, awed at the Foreign Legion’s performance, let the two survivors take their fallen commander’s wooden arm and go free. the arm is displayed in honor at the Legion’s HQ to this day.
They killed about 800 Mexicans but were overwhelmed by overwhelming numbers.
That is the plan today, overcome us with overwhelming numbers with the assistance of profit hungry businesses and power hungry policitians.
We need to emulate the Foreign Legion - fignt - NO SURRENDER!
Michelle, I was just listening to Doug McIntyre (780AM Los Angeles) and Jamiel Shaw the father was on talking how the prosecutor is threatening him for pushing Jamiel’s Law. You know, the one that says Illegal Gang Bangers are not given the rights under special order 40. They even went so far as to say that if he keeps it up, they will turn Jamiel into a “gang” banger because he had on a red belt and a spiderman Back Pack.
I’m really sick to the stomach over this. His mother was serving in Iraq when she got the call that her son was gunned down. What can we do?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend…
Both, la raza and the globalist, republican leadership hate the American middle class. Therefore, McCain and la raza are friends.
After this next election, if everything goes the way the globalists are expecting, the United States of America will no longer exist… too bad, it’s been a good run, but we blew it!
Where’s that hazmat suit?
That this even needs to be addressed is how very systemic & problematic our government and our country have become. If our founding, principles and posterity mean anything we will make our stand here and now.
Well, Juan McAmnesty is speaking to La Raza because HE supports all of those things, too.
And he wonders why the Republican base doesn’t like him.
“John McCain doesn’t care about White People”. -vickisoup
John Ansell,
If you haven’t already. You can start here. Jamiel’s law.
I’m sorry. That is McShame’s campaign platform!
Only ten?
Sometimes I just think McCain wants to lose so he can hang onto some greivances. His sucking up to La Raza, knowing how damaging it is to his standing with conservatives, is a perfect example of why I think that.
On May 6th, 2008 at 11:46 am, 30 pcs of silver said: Thanks 30 pcs of Silver. I just hear Mr. Shaw will be meeting with Steve Cooley tonight so maybe he’ll get an apology.
Heard. Need to wake up.
We have to hire the South Koreans to clone Barry Goldwater.
Ten TOP reasons. To begin with.
So many more.
McCain throws the conservative base under the bus to gain what 8-10 percent of the Hispanic vote? We are now witnessing the complete destruction of the Republican Party. The ten or so Republican elites that control this party don’t realize that the puppet has fallen off the sting and is burning on the ground.
John, don’t mention it. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Shaw. He is determined to ensure that his son’s death was not in vain. He has my support and my condolences.
Hawkeye,
I think it also important to remember that Santa Anna outnumbered Jim Bowie and crew at the Alamo and almost did not crack that nut. Again too many of them and not enough of us. That is until he ran into Sam Houston and was defeated at the Battle of San Jacinto in less than half an hour. Time may be off but not by much.
Globalists are winning. Short of a patriotic military coup of our own government, with military tribunals for treason….there is nothing that will be done about this invasion. Americans….mostly white folks…..will be beat over the head with the stick of guilt by the new invaders for the next 50 years….and our elected officials will do nothing but aide and abet until the day comes where there will be no more McCain’s or Clinton’s or Bush’s on the ballots….it will be nothing but Hernandez, Garcia, Arrollo, Ramirez and so on.
I only have one HAZMAT suit but, I’ll share….
McCain is arrogatly counting on the majority of conservative base to vote for him anyway. He’ll give us lip service while he courts minorities, independents and dissaffected Dems to get him into the White House. After all, what does LaRaza stand for that McCain doesn’t agree with.
If he loses in November he’ll just blame the conservatives and probably change parties. He has more in common with Ted Kennedy than he does Ronald Reagan
Amnesty on it’s way unless americans stand-up!
Sen. John McCain said Monday the tenor of the immigration debate has hurt the way Hispanic voters view the Republican Party.
Sen. John McCain lauched a Spanish-language Web site on Monday.
“I believe the majority of Hispanics share our view that the border must be secured, and the border must be secured first,” McCain said in Phoenix, Arizona.
“But they also want us to have an attitude which I think most Americans do, that these are God’s children and they must be taken care of.”
The senator from Arizona used Cinco de Mayo as a launching pad for a new Spanish-language Web site on Monday, and he emphasized his stance on immigration and border security as he tried to court the Hispanic vote.
Republican strategists have said McCain has to do well with Hispanic voters to win in November. When President Bush was re-elected in 2004, he received 44 percent of the Hispanic vote, but that was before the divisive political debate erupted over illegal immigration. Watch McCain give his message to Hispanic voters »
McCain is seen as a moderate Republican when it comes to immigration reform, but the conservative base of his party has taken a hard-line approach on the issue. See where the candidates stand on immigration
In 2005, McCain angered some in his party when he and Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy unsuccessfully pushed for a comprehensive immigration reform bill that included a path to citizenship.
McCain now says he would focus first on securing the borders before offering other ways to deal with illegal immigration.
McCain on Monday empathized with Hispanics who have been mistreated and said low-income Hispanics are often the first to lose their jobs when someone come to the United States illegally.
He underscored his view that those who came to the U.S. legally take priority over those who entered the country illegally, but said that still means the issue can be addressed “in a humane and compassionate fashion, understanding families, understanding all the aspects that affect the lives of all human beings.”
McCain, who represents a border state with a large Latino population, said he thinks he will do well among Hispanic voters, partly because of his “long record working with Hispanic leadership.”
“I know the people, I know the patriotism, I know the loyalty, I know the respect for the family, the advocacy for life,” he said. “Everything about our Hispanic voters is tailor made to the Republican message.” Watch a report on McCain’s outreach and record with Hispanics »
McCain also pledged to attend the National Council for La Raza’s convention in July, the largest national Hispanic civil rights organization which seeks to improve opportunities for Hispanic-Americans.
Asked if he would face criticism from his more conservative backers, McCain stressed his party is all encompassing.
“My party is an inclusive party, my party reaches out to every citizen, every American who shares our views and our optimism and our belief in the principles of this great nation,” he said.
“I will make sure we go to places where I may not get the majority of their votes. But the job I have is to reunite America, to make sure that people know that I will be the president of all the people whether they vote for me or not.”
The Mexicans managed to survive with those overwhelming numbers(2000 to 60 French) and create a holiday, Cinco De Mayo. Why is it we never hear of the day shortly after that victory(barf) the French over took Mexico City? Maybe it’s a holiday in France.
Notice he keeps saying “My party”…. it ain ‘t mine.
Thanks MNUSMCDavid. Boy are we in for a ride the next four years…
Yup. Santa Ana outnumbered Ol’ Sam Houston too and lost believing the Texas would rather run than fight.
Shows what great leadership, preparation and determination can do when the odds seem to be against you.
looks like Juan McNasty has traded us conservatives in on the illegals that have photo id and can vote.
#43 we got through jimmy carter didn’t we?
To me, it makes sense first to deal with the traitors in our own midst before confronting the invader. (Dealing with traitors is always an ugly business as it breeds suspicion and paranoia. But continuing with the French model, it is necessary to note that they a bad experience with it around 1793. I think, though, that we know who some of our main traitors are.)
30 Pieces of Silver, sometime back you paraphrased Jackie Gleason from Smokey and the Bandit about Juan McAmnesty.
Could be time to recycle it.
# 46
heck, remember that Dole debacle?
30pcs
yeah I know but I’ll walk point and we’ll get through it.
#49 no
Considering the Mexicans kicked out the Fwench in the end and executed Maxmillian, it is probably just another loss the Fwench would sooner forget.
I believe Cinco de Mayo was never really celebrated in Mexico, in contrast to the US whre the day was hyped for marketing Mexican food and drink and snow-balled from there.
#49
yep, but that was because Dole was muzzled by his handlers and the country did not see the real Dole until after the race was over and he lost. His personality and likeability came out after the “experts” in the Rebumbling party were away from him. I have not met McShame but I have met Dole and the man who ran is not the man I know. IMHO McShame is not even close. I believe he will be the same deluded nasty person after as he is now.
I think Schafley is right. The Globalists, which includes McCain and Bush, are in the process of making the US border, the Southern Border of Mexico. Don’t be shocked if at some point, the entire population of Mexico gets membership in the corporation of the United States of America.
They will not tell us their true intentions, but the action do.
xler8
Dole was the Rep candidate against Klinton the second term . He was a loser from the get go.
Can’t we to both at the same time?
And, by no means, should we, ever, ever emulate the Fwench. The legion, on the other hand, does have a few praise-worthy traits. At least in its glory days.
Good reason not to vote for him. But why do conservatives seem to think the conservative movement seemed to start with Ronald Reagan?
If you support The Race, are you a Rascist? What if you oppose The Race? Then are you a Rascist?
This is getting very confusing.
Maybe we should refer to the Indy 500 as “La Raza.” That would make sense…
#55 oh i forgot!
What does “La Raza” stand for? Oh that’s right, The Race. But they are not racists. NOooooo!
On May 6th, 2008 at 12:23 pm, RobM1981 , LOL or mayber the Derby?
Correction: They oppose a secure Southern US border not a secure Southern Mexican border. Then again, maybe securing their Southern borders may prevent the rape, abuse and even murder of many of the illegal alien invaders that they do not suffer so lightly as they would have us do.
If you take the phrase: “Por La Raza todo, Fuera de La Raza nada”, which translates “For the Race, everything, outside the Race, nothing”, and transpose two words so that it reads “Por La Raza nada, Fuera de La Raza todo”, which translates “For the Race, nothing, outside the Race, everything”, you will be accused of hate speach and vilified in this country. A blatant double standard and extreme example of PC fascism.
Maybe because he revitalized conservativism as the Democrat leadership was shifting further left into socialism and beyond.
Anyway he stands as a good, if not only nostalgic, reference point.
The sweet irony. La Raza = The Race.
Yes the race to cross the border illegally.
Go speedracer!!!
Tre,
That was funny. I can’t recall exactly what I said… old age.
xler8,
We did but darn it I thought we learned from our mistakes…
I’m not usually a conspiracy theorist guy, but I think the Washington elitists (those are elected democrats and republicans who lost sight of where they came from) have a plan to bring in all of the immigrants they can, then tax them to cover social security and other entitlements since America is aging and the ‘contributing’ population is diminishing.
The shell game of entitlements won’t work without a young uneducated work force.
As a populations achieves a level of what Maslow called ’self actualization’, and becomes a technologically advanced culture, the size of families decreases.
As the size of families decrease, the old agrarian culture model of larger families to support the older folks (the US entitlement model) fails.
We are being scammed. Its social modeling.
This is a plan to bail out social security.
I believe! I believe! thank you sir.
I am half Hispanic - specifically Mexican, coming from my mother’s side of the family. I would like to make some sort of t-shirt that expresses my utter disgust for groups like La Raza, and the many Hispanics and non-Hispanics that buy into these deadly, divisive, vomitous and racist diatribes and actions.
My grandparents were the proudest Americans you could ever find. They spoke English and loved this country. They would be even more ashamed than I am.
Anyone have any ideas for a t-shirt or poster that expresses this idea?
Ronald Reagan took his cue from, you guessed it, Barry Goldwater (AuH2O).
LaRacist
You have something there, I think its beyond social security. Marginalizing or eliminating the middle class, traditional institutions, and education (replacing it with indoctrination), creating a more illiterate and ignorant class dependant upon the power of the ruling elites who want everyone to be beholding to them.
This is a huge gift for the Obama campaign. McCain’s cozying up to La Raza and having Juan Hernandez on staff isn’t that different from Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers (it could be argued). If the Obama campaign has its underlings press this idea intelligently they could peel away the independents and gain a big advantage over McCain.
Hawkeye 54,
Sounds like communism to me. McCain has lost the plot and the others being Dhims never had the plot. Time for the country to wakeup.
The difference between McCain’s views and La Raza’s are what?
If McCain was right on illegal immigration he’d win easily. Given his present stance, if Hillary was right about the war on terror she’d win. Given they are both wrong - ouch. We could end up with the worst of the three.
We are doomed… no matter who gets elected…
all three just are awful.
While it certainly sounds like communism and is in fact, the very result that many of Joe McCarthy’s “victims” planned for a long time (see the Congressional Record of 1963 … though there is much more verification available as well) I think personally it is an active and concerted effort to bring the SPP to power.
This is, unfortunately, quite true.
Amen to that. It IS communism (touted as progressivism - the use of the word “communisim” is forbidden by the progressives, as too many people can still connect the dots) . The country IS awake but distracted by the MSM’s bread and circuses (American I
doldiot and Dancing with theStarsDunces anyone?) and the promises of the Obamasaiah or Shrillary. That’s what happens when education is dumbed down and people decised to let the government and the media do its thinking for them.
With McCain it’ll a slow spiral downward to socialism, with Shillery it’ll be at mach speed - the Obamessiah at the speed of light.
Heaven help us all.
Because I like to be fair, I’ve been reading the La Raza website, looking to see what they say about things pertaining to this column.
It’s interesting, if you pay attention, to what they say.
For instance, in reviewing the driver’s license detail, if you click on the REAL ID link, you find:
What does “fleeing persecution” have to do with anything else involved in getting a drivers license?
“Welcome to DMV, how can I assist you today?”
“Yes, i’m fleeing persecution.”
Yeah.
Their position on the DREAM ACT is laughable…shows how they are supporting illegal immigrants, even though they state on their website to the contrary.
If they were citizens and naturalized to begin with, why would they need a path to citizenship, unless they were *GASP* ILLEGAL.
How about the law enforcement agencies working together? Here’s more:
If a police officer knows a person has committed, or is committing another crime, they are obligated to enforce the law, federal or not. For instance, if you get pulled over for speeding, and you have ink from a bank money pack that exploded in the robbery you just committed, they aren’t going to let the robbery slide in order to get you for speeding. Same with this. If you get pulled over for speeding and you’re illegal, then they’ve caught you in violation of another law. The fact its federal doesn’t matter. This is a case where La Raza doesnt want the right hand to know what the left hand is doing, because it would make it easier on illegal immigrants if everyone was on a different page.
By the fates, there’s more here….a literal treasure trove of misdirects and blantant garbage. I don’t even have the time in a day to go over it all. But do some more research folks…and take these people to task for it.
After i vote, I’m going to our local police department and get a copy of the oath of office…there it must say that they have to uphold the law of the land. My friends here have had enough. Gonna start putting our own PR campaign in place by starting with the local papers. One of my buddies owns a pizza place and he cannot keep his prices down to the competitions level because they use Illegal labor.
#68 americangrunthog,
Isn’t it amazing how there was a big Social Security crisis 10-12 years ago, yet nothing was ever done and the crisis just went away. I seem to remember them saying it would be bankrupt by 2029 or so. Increasing immigration was one of the solutions. Since no one could have a spine and make a decision on the best way to handle it, I believe they all chose to look the other way and let a solution come to them in the form of millions of new citizens via amnesty.
McCain gives preference for people south of the border over US citizens because he’s one of them. He’s Panamanian.
On May 6th, 2008 at 12:42 pm, americangrunthog said:
Probably a fair assessment. SS is a ponzi scheme requiring and ever growing younger population to pay for the aging population. Each generation must be larger than the prior or it begins to crack under the wieght. And if it can’t be done organically, the gov’t just imports, via immigration, sufficient nubmers. A big flaw in that course of aciton is of course, they are trying to replace techies, scientists, etc with landscapers, contruction workers, ag wokers, etc. Not the kind of economics driving skilss that made the US a power house. You need more than bodies, you need intelligence as well for it to work.
yesterday i received an email, again, from mcpain requesting funds. i replied that so long as he supported a racist group tantamount to that of jeremiah wright’s racism, he would not be getting funds from me. of course, i have been replying to those emails for months telling them to take me off their list and they have not paid attention yet.
i wonder how i can get this point across to the ‘maverick’??? you saddle up to racist organizations and you won’t get my money. you continue to support the open borders crowd and undermine this country’s sovereignity and you will not get my support financial or otherwise!!
#81 you’re absolutely correct. Though they want their 1st amendment rights anyone in opposition is spewing hate.
This is exactly what some of these (so-called immigrants) the freedom to speak!
The very nature that they want the FCC to stop anti-ILLEGAL-immigration advertising shows they’ve learned nothing of our history!
Let’s hope that McPain chokes on a taco very soon.
This is exactly what is going on in Europe. Only their problem is multiplied by the fact that they are importing muslims.
You will be ignored unless a vast multitude of people do the same thing, and even then, his screeners will no doubt filter out anything considered negative.
H’m sure he will respond to the sound of money dropped into his coffers in the largest denomination considered legal.
Wanna guess how much money he hopes to squeeze out of LaRaza and their ilk for doing their bidding?
Mucho dinero to support his campaign and presidency and just see how fast he can fast-track amnesty by some other disquise. He’ll get all giddy from the cooperation that’ll come from the other side of the aisle in Congress.
Sheesh - why vote for a wanna be Democrat when you can vote for the real thing.
More the reason to go out in force and vote for conservatives in every local, state and congressional race out there.
It is becoming a growing problem for us too, thanks to a state department only too glad to rubberstamp, without adequate, if any, backgroud checks, practically any Muslims wishing to emigrate, and insist on retaining and imposing their backward culture upon us.
I think ALL immigration must be stopped at least for 5 years until we get a grasp of whose here!
I meant immigrate. If ONLY they wanted to leave here. In droves, and as soon as possible for me.
I’m absolutely fine with anyone wanting to come here legally and adapt to American culture, as did my Norwegian and German great grandparents.
From Numbers USA
What makes you think this hasn’t changed?
From the press release of McCain’s 1999 award:
Fannie Mae - any connection with the mortgage crisis????
AARP - one of the most influential lobbying organizations in DC.
Frito-Lay - big profits at bars and parties on May 5?????
See the full list of CORPORATE SPONSORS of La Raza.
Absolutely! Which goes along with rising costs of everything and the environment. You cannot be both for improving the environment and reducing consumption AND support the illegal invasion along with massive immigration.
AuH2O, been a while since I have heard that. Yep Goldwater, and I think many of todays conservatives would be surprised that he was an environmentalists (one who believed in using the environment wisely, not one who would use it to control the population). Also there was Everett Dirksen, one of my favorite senators.
Reason #11:
McCain: I was told on the phone today to press 1 for English. My friends, this is an outrage! If I am elected el presidente de Los Estados Unidos, I will make sure every phone tree asks you to press 2 for English!
#92 I’m with you and have believed this for quite some time. This country has stopped immigration before for a period of time and it should be done again, for at least 5 years. But with the current three amigos running for president it will never happen. I keep voting Republican and will continue to do so (although I’m not so sure about voting for president at all this year). It just seems like the Republicans in Congress aren’t fighting for anything right now that matters. Where are they? I can’t remember the last time I heard one on the news saying anything I agreed with.
John McCain has a blog here.
Register and post your opinions on Senator McCain’s plans to speak to La Raza (keep it clean and polite).
It’s distrubing how easily you could have substituted “McCain” for “La Raza” in most of those points.

Perhaps Michelle should make this a permanent link on the page.
Is that where you go to become a degreed coyote?
Too often like butting your head against the wall, no?
I also will until or unless there is a more viable option. There are still many conservative Republicans worth supporting. I’ll vote for them when possible, and send money to them - not the National Committees.
I’m not going to abandon the party until all hope is gone. Keep working to weed out the traitorous RINOs.
Equivalent to the KKK!
Really!
We’ll I banish your group for violating the Alien and Sedition Act! Your attempts to weaken our government is a direct violation of said Act.
I am well within my rights as an American Citizen to form a well regulated militia to stop this sedition!
Our fore fathers set these laws to protect us and they are getting trampled on.
Bottom Line:
Mexican Total Lack of Culture and Corrupt Values is not acceptable in My Country.
McCain needs to get his head out of his ass now.
Federal Law is either fully enforacable or null and void. All of Them!
Neither Clinton, Obama or McCain hold with My Values or respect for the Law of the Land.
They are off track and are not deserving of the offices they hold or consideration as Commander in Chief.
Just not worthy of trust or deserving of consideration. Period.
La Raza, Bill Ayers, Mark Rich pardons and the lot of it. Not acceptable. Period.
They must All Believe that We are Stupid.
Some of You are but I am most certainly not! Having Fought and bled for this Nation, I am qualfied to make this statement.
None of the Above are qualified to hold office!
Flenser thanks for the link!

I think ALL immigration must be stopped at least for 5 years until we get a grasp of whose here!
Absolutely! Which goes along with rising costs of everything and the environment. You cannot be both for improving the environment and reducing consumption AND support the illegal invasion along with massive immigration.
Well said guys. I was beginning to beleive I was the only one that thought this way. Most everyone has been beaten with the PC stick so long, they begin every sentence on illegal immigration, “I am all for immigration if it is legal”. Indicating any level is ok, just as long as it is legal. They are afraid to be labeled “anti-immigrant”. Who cares. Immigration was a necessity and great for the US 150 years ago. We had open spaces to settle and make productive. As long as they could farm and were willing to settle land, that was all that was required. There is no vacant land that nobody will take left. So immigraiotn needs to be tailored to OUR needs. Set standards like education, english, IQ, needed skills, AND NO WELFARE, etc. And curb levels to a fraction of current levels. Not stop but make sure it benefits Americans, not the immigrants themselves. Even better a 5 year moratorium to catch our breath. The libs have obfuscated this issue to where we argue a silly point about illegal immigration rather than the whoel immigration picture and what is an appropriate level. Gotta hand it to the libs. They are masterful with PC.
Let me just say this:
McCain never had my vote to begin with. I preferred Tancredo, Thompson or Romney over him. However, I was willing to allow him the chance to earn my vote, particularly after he claimed he “got it” on immigration. If he was to do something substantive between now and the elections (like say, propose new and better border fence legislation without the amnesty crap) he would have absolutely convinced me he was being honest.
However, with his pandering to La Raza, all he has proven to me is that he does NOT “get it” and will NEVER “get it” when it comes to Illegal Immigration. All he wants us conservatives to do is just “shut up and sit down”. I think he assumes we will vote for him just because snObama and Hillary are so bad.
McVain, I’ve got news for you: I will write in “Mickey Mouse” before I will vote for you. You lying, conniving sonofaB. I will vote Conservative and Republican come this fall on every line EXCEPT POTUS, which I will either leave blank, or (if I am able) I will write in “Mickey Mouse”. You can take your La Raza and stuff it McVain. You’ve lost my vote PERMANENTLY.
Is that a La Raza bbq I smell *-?
Ai corona!
Keep up the mighty damn fine work, Michelle!
Weary #110
Exactly we need to tailor it to our needs!
I just got a “Conservatives Against McCain” bumper sticker from CAfe Press and I plan to put it on my car ASAP. I will carry it with pride! I am proud NOT to vote for McCain, very proud. Now, I am sure I will hear the people who, out of fear, WILL vote for him call me stupid, naive, shortsighted, etc., etc. Go ahead, make my day!!!!!!!!! At least when McCain scr**s conservatives over and over again after he is elected, i won’t be kicking myself. I will try not to rub it in either.
There. Fixed it.
The American Thinker reports:
We’ve got to get serious, is this really the only candidate the Republicans can put up for president?
That really chaps my hide. Can’t the conservatives start a write-in campaign?
McCain: dump laraza to become electable.
Maybe the Mc Man is not :
the LESSER of three evils.
We KNOW the other two are SOCIALIST.
Michele,
All reasonable Americans you know in the media…Buchanon,Dobbs, Savage,Beck need to leave their egos at home and join together in a HUGE march on WAshington to say STOP THIS INSANITY!
We Americans have had enough! I don’t want to hear anymore excuses about how we all work and can’t make it…This is our country for GD sake!! And there isn’t much time left to save it!!! Either we all make it there or we arm ourselves for the civil war that is surely coming…Take a look at third world LA and see your future!
In order for a civil war to occur, we need rather widespread poverty, with an encrusted wealthy class. Don’t worry, as globalization spreads to white (there’s that word again) collar jobs, we’ll be there soon.
I can tell you McCain has a fight in St. Paul if he wants to push this crap on us. Two other delegates in addition to myself will vote Ron Paul rather than McCain if he speaks to “The Race”. Paul is still technically a candidate and would be more deserving our support. Since Romney won the state we are free to choose our alternate.
The hypocrisy is so thick when it comes to illegal immigration being courted by various groups it is amazing we all don’t drown in the dung created by this bullcrap.
Riddle me this, (strictly hypothetical what if scenario) if our southern neighbor was North Korea (aka a totalitarian, repressive, communist regime that threatened to blow us up on a daily basis) instead of Mexico would the same groups (greedy business wanting cheap labor at any cost to society, and corrupt politicians wanting votes and a new underclass of subservient yes-men) be advocating open borders?
I’d be willing to wager any amount of money it would become the world’s largest demilitarized zone in a heartbeat.
Money and power, tools of corruption used before we even started recording history down to be read and still going strong today.
I know it hasn’t changed. So does everybody else that understands basic math. That was my point. They let it slip from consciousness so they could let the illegals come in and solve the problem.
Our workforce is aging and as the baby boomers retire, they will be taking an increasing chunk of the budget. We need to get more tax money to cover these “entitlements”. If the politicians look the other way and let in 20-40 million people, then decide we have to be humanitarian and give them amnesty, they can become tax paying citizens and fill the SS coffers. The problem is that it is a Ponzi scheme as Weary Citizen (no relation) has stated. This has all been done to hide the fact that spending is out of control. Personally, I believe that money will be the cause of any revolution, coup, or civil war that we have here.
Weary Citizen @ 2:42, Ditto.
Whether immigration is increased, decreased or eliminated altogether, it’s our home, our choice. Explanations or apologies about those decisions is entirely optional.
IMHO, McCain is fully aware of the risks and the consequences of his agenda. It will be up to the American People to educate him with the unforeseen consequences.
Why should McCain repudiate them for these 10 things?
He along with his supporters agree on them with all their hearts.
I am all for legal immigration, what is being pushed is the destruction of our sovereignty. I Mexican citizen can get a work visa in 6 to 8 months, so why would they pay more and risk more to come here illegally. What is the percentage of inmates in prison between legal residents and illegal? If you want to come here, you need to obey our rules, what is so hard about that?
# 114 RIC:
Your post made me smile-thank you.
RIC
Not to worry, you’ll have many willing to drive, stand or strut beside you… Now, I gotta get that bumper sticker myself.
Using this comment section as gauge when MM posts articles related to McCain and amnesty it would appear he has burned his conservative bridge all the way down now. Hispanics and Independent voters won’t be near enough to elect this creep in November. I hope the good people of AZ throw this traitor out; he is one rotten piece of……………………………………… Lettuce.
McFraud should be impeached as a Senator and tried for treason if he meets with this group while representing the USA.
And speaking of “Orwellian”, we already live in an Orwellian nightmare where up is down, and down is up. Politicians meeting with racist groups pandering like beggars for votes; black “leaders” may say anything negative they want about white people while the opposite brands you a racist; illegal immigrants boldly parade in the face of law enforcement in the streets; if you call for enforcement of our immigration laws, even Republican politicans (including the President!!) brand you racist and bigoted; welfare recipients shamelessly demand that they are entitled to more more more; atheists sue the government to remove God from our national symbols and the Plege of Allegiance, all while 96% of American citizens profess belief in a higher power; we dare not print pictures of Mohommed in our newspapers, but showing a picture of the Virgin Mary covered in feces is perfectly alright; our children are forced to learn about Islam, but dont the same children even dare to pray in a public school; killers of our military and people that plot to mass murder us are given constitutional protections..etc. etc.
Orwellian indeed.
