John McCain gets away with his slippery, open-borders talk again
John McCain appeared in the “No-Spin Zone” tonight–and spun, spun, spun his way through a few, scant, superficial questions about immigration.
The GOP’s immigration drag queen has completely shed his costume.
Asked whether he would do anything about illegal alien sanctuary cities, he shrugged off the question by muttering that “of course” he didn’t approve of them (but was silent on taking any proactive measures to cut off their funding). Having dispensed with that, McCain then quickly gave his new slippery, flip-flop formulation about how we need to “secure the borders” AND have “comprehensive immigration enforcement/” “temporary guest work plan” (translation: amnesty) and “deal with the 12 million people already here” (translation: give them amnesty, DREAM Act, sanctuary, driver’s licenses, bank accounts, home loans, etc., etc., etc).
No questions about his decision to speak to La Raza/The Race in July.
No questions about his open-borders radical Hispanic outreach director and Cinco de Mayo money man, Juan Hernandez.
No questions about his anti-assimilationist campaign finance co-chair, Jerry Perenchio.
And no questions about how McCain would deal with heinous crimes like this.
Geraldo Rivera approves.

How in the world did we get stuck with this guy?!! I can’t believe he’s getting away with this.
We are so screwed.
Paul Jackson, his campaign spokesperson, said that sanctuary cities were “democracy in action” - each city deciding for itself what to do.
Asked about how they can flaunt the 1996 law against sanctuary cities, he told me, “America was founded by breaking the law.”
I kid you not.
yup, just watched, not good at all, c’mon get with it. laura would have been much much better interviewing McCain, not a doubt in my mind.
It’s a perfect storm, the left wins either way, eh?
Exhibit A
They voted in who they want as a candidate in the other party’s early open primaries.
Brilliant!
Wonder why the base is sick of the GoP incompetence and dispiriting “party-building”.
What a country.
Seriously , I felt like throwing a brick threw my television.
through*
Ooh, ooh, can I be the first person to claim that all this open borders talk is intellectually dishonest? I SEE NO EVIDENCE THAT JOHN MCCAIN SUPPORTS OPEN BORDERS. YOU’RE ALL JUST MDS THUGS!!! GRRR!!!
Think its a coincidence that the spinner Oreilly didn’t ask about Juan Hernandez, LaRaza or his dodge on sanctuary cities?
Oreilly is painted with the same brush the McCains of our country have been colored with.
Maverick candidate…meet Maverick voter rooster
That interview made me sick and angry!!! McCain is a traitor!!! O’Reilly is a wimp!!!
Michelle,
I’m glad you don’t work for the career enhancement of Bill O’Reilly.
He is NOT doing his job….He did the same thing for John Kerry in 2004.
I am satisfied with my decision to switch from republican to no affiliation. McCain will not get my vote or my money. I will support Melissa Hart for Congress and that’s about it. I will never be a republican again (unless Ronald Reagan shows back up).
I state most emphatically, “I will never vote for John McCain.”
¡Déme la libertad o déme la muerte!
Some how it just doesn’t sound right in Spanish.
Zorro,
Ronald Reagan has turned over in his grave so many times his casket turned to butter.
A ten year old child was too busy giving birth to a rapists child to comment.

Got any more immigration success stories Mac?
Instead of trying to jam every kind of amnesty and DREAM act magnet down our throats you might try following the guidance freely given by “We The People”.
You’re mad about corruption? We’re furious as hell about betrayal, your betrayal!
Dear troll:
HERE is evidence of an intellectually dishonest, deceptive, and cynical attitude by McCain: The 2006 version of McCain-Kennedy had a 90-day waiting period for a Z visa - the time allotted to DHS to check backgrounds and health of TWELVE MILLION illegal aliens. McCain changed that to ONE BUSINESS DAY in 2007 for both attempts to pass that abomination of a bill.
And from his campaign spokesperson -
Paul Jackson, his campaign spokesperson, said that sanctuary cities were “democracy in action” - each city deciding for itself what to do.
Asked about how they can flaunt the 1996 law against sanctuary cities, he told me, “America was founded by breaking the law.”
Intellectually dishonest?? No evidence? Try again, troll.
sooooo, for those keeping score at home, it took all of 10 posts for the t-word to come out …
/i may catch one of the later showings tonite; i would like to see a transcript if/when one becomes available …
I was also disappointed in the O man and his interview with McCain. I am going to have to vote for this clown just on Iraq, that’s all. (I will be holding my nose though.)
We desperately need to elect as many real conservatives to Congress this year as we can get. Whom ever our next POTUS is, they will be for Shamnesty.
Here in Va. I will be voting for Jim Gilmore to replace John Warner for Sen. and for a conservative to replace Tom Davis III for the House.
And for not asking tougher questions, Bill O’Reilly is a PINHEAD.
Oreilly did the same with Hillary regarding sanctuary cities. The frightening part (for Republicans) is that Hillary showed that she had no clue as to what “sanctuary city” actually means while McCain showed us he does–and he is all for them.
I keep hoping that McCain will get it regarding the threat that comes with open borders–alas, he doesn’t. McCain, thy party is Republicrat and you will surely prove it once in the WH and you force shamnesty upon us bona-fide citizens.
BTW, I almost gagged when he told us all how Teddy R. was his hero. John, go do some research on your hero’s beliefs—Teddy would grab you by the ear and run you out the door while kicking your b-hind.
If John McCain does manage to win this election, I expect that in the long run he will do more damage to the GOP than did GWB. However, the damage to the country that would be done by an Obama administration is even more frightening.
I saw it, and it was very revealing. McCain is still for open borders (I know, shocking!!!1!!one!!!1).
O’Reilly gave him a pass - he asked the question, McCain did a little dance, and O’Reilly instantly moved on to something else.
Yes, O’Reilly, I still remember how you sided with the “comprehensive immigration reform” bandwagon back when McCain was trying to shove it down our throats.
Michelle- Keep the heat on this guy.
You are probably catching hell for questioning the presumptive Republican nominee.
If so, direct those whiners over to HotAir.com where Ed Morrissey is doing a lot to prop up the candidate. It was brilliant for you to take him on this election year.
Having said that, don’t let up at all on McCain. Thanks for all you do.
O’Reilly is an elitist jackass. Always has been, always will be.
fred5676 Right on. Just like muslim terrorists, trolls hate the truth–especially when it smacks ‘em right square in the mouth.
I was ironing a couple of shirts when I was watching this in the bedroom. Somehow I managed not to throw the iron through the TV. McCain is the wrong man for POTUS.
He is completely out there on energy policy, global warming, and is spouting his crap on immigration reform. He won’t go negative despite all the ammunition on either one of the Democrats (especially Obama Lama Ding Dong). The opposition is going to wipe the floor with this clueless grumpy old man.
Every time he opens his freaking mouth I can’t wait to write in “none of the above.” I finally get my shot at the Idaho caucus on 27 May my vote will go for anyone, but McCain. A conservative can’t wear enough protective gear to get through the stench to free up a hand to pull the lever for this man in November.
“How in the world did we get stuck with this guy?!!”
several million people voted for him …
/that seems to get lost in the shuffle a lot here …
What a generic interview and a waste of my time. Why does O’Reilly go limp on the big interviews?
The only reason I am going to be able to pull the lever for this guy is my desire not to live under a racist, Marxist President. The next 4 years are going to be hell.
O’Reilly asking the tough questions. NOT!
Hahaha, oh man, got two suckers.
I thought the GRRR! would have been the dead giveaway.
I may be hitch-hiking to Tahiti around November so I won’t have to be a part of putting this POS in the Casa Blanco.
Anybody driving that way? I could use a lift.
The interview seemed to be edited abruptly in a few sections. Do you think the venue was interesting - Hillary and GWB get the “living room” and McCain works across the desk?
The two most important factors for my house are SCOTUS and the war on terrorists. I plan to watch part 2 tommorrow. McCain would not be my first choice, but he’ll be better than BHO.
We need a 3rd party candidate to weaken McCain before we have deal with a busload of similar RINOs after 2008
McCain is nothing more than a CFR mouthpiece. Just like Condi, Bush, and Chertoff.
He will continue to follow the New World Order BS of selling this country down the river with open borders, Islam is a ROP, doing the bid of oil companys, let’s get rid of hate speech,(talk radio-Christianty), and unfair trade with countries like China, and Mexico.
“Islam is a ROP”
JSM has not made that statement …
God, I know, isn’t it awful what has happened to his party…
I’m glad you good people on this blog are looking out for me because Bill O is not & McPain is sneaking up on my backside with some immigration K-Y jelly.
Unfortunately I voted early in Tennessee’s primary. My candidate (Thompson) withdrew and my vote was nullified. I did not vote for McCain and honestly do not know any one who has. While I believe he is a man of courage and character his politics is flawed.
Democrats should be rejoicing this election cycle, it is a win win win for them. I am willing to risk another liberal on the Supreme Court, higher taxes and socialized health care. I am willing to suffer for the next four years because I believe that is the only way we will ever get another true conservative in office. Americans are too lazy, enthralled in their own lives or busy wondering how come they can’t keep a house they shouldn’t have bought than they are about the future of this nation or holding on too the foundation on which it was founded. A wake up call is required. We had some good conservatives to pick from. We failed miserably with our selection.
BayStateRepublican
This should answer your questions:
RE: 122
Buckaroo
1. have you noticed McCain’s support for the earmark benefitting La Raza?
2. Yes we may be in Iraq for a long time unless we do what we should have done in 2003-go after Syria, Iran, and Iraq….until we take out Iran and Syria militarily we won’t “win” Iraq.
3. Keep military in great shape-either party will spend on military procurement-whether or not it is the best spending is always the question.
4. John McCain who wants to call mexican lawbreakers “God’s children”, has refused to lift other than the middle finger for anti-abortion forces (except during an election year).
Moreover his campaign finance reform efforts did nothing but muzzle conservatives during key races..not exactly looking out for our 1st amendment rights.
5. Yes John will put federal judges on the benches but they will be liberals…take notice of his derision of Justice Alito when Alito was picked by Bush…only now he says he pick more Alitos in an election year.
6. Second amendment…in a post Heller world, many libs will all of a sudden say they too are for the 2nd amendment..but here is the catch Buckaroo…they will pile on as much regulation on people who own or want to buy guns as they can.
Moreover, John McCain wants to re-enact the kind of legislation renewing the 1994 Assault Weapon ban…in which your chosen gun will be declared an “assault weapon” and banned because it has whatever physical characteristic they don’t like from one day to the next.
I could really go on about John McCain and the 2nd Amendment. Gun Owners of America has given john McCain an “F” rating, and the NRA only gave him a “C+”…not good Buckaroo
10 years ago I could say that a good indicator of just how “conservative” a politician was was how consistently they supported the second amendment… atrue conservative candidate would past muster with both the NRA and GOA…if they could pass muster on this right, they understood that Americans has rights across the board, and did not want to get fleeced on government spending.
Now the picture has changed completely.
A politician who does not support the rights of Americans who played by the rules on immigration has no respect for them.
Illegal immigration gives liberal politicians like McCain the opportunity to encourage vote fraud and most chillingly, Buckaroo, the fervent opportunity to replace your vote on issues with those of a fawning army of illegal aliens…this is why the libs of both parties love illegal immigration.
This has the effect of making your participation in the political process null and void.
“but they will be liberals”
wow — so you’ve got 2nd sight now? must be great at cocktail parties …
#27 - Buckaroo ~
I think the MSM had a lot to do with it, as well. A lot of peoples’ research deals with what their morning radio show tells them. They don’t bother to research beyond that. It’s all a popularity contest. Flashback to high school…
# 42 a
well, by that standard mitt would have won every contest as he flooded the airwaves early and often, so i’m not sure how accurate that is …
OK…since McCain won’t deal with immigration either I say we turn the tables. Let’s invade them!!! Yeah…think of the oil resources and the beach-front property! An invasion and upgrading their infrastructure over the next 20 years can’t cost much more than the illeagls cost us now. And…we can let them continue to guard their own Southern border since we sure as hell know THEY won’t let anyone in.
Viva Le Revolution
# 44 h
dude, we already did that in 1857 — & we kept all the good stuff!

Buckaroo,
I just have a good way of making an argument, since I don’t like to to be taken by any politician.
I am one who would actually look into how a bank I’m thinking of depositing my money into is managed.
I simply would not be fooled by the name brand of the toaster or other worthless trinket their management would give to me to get my business (as they did before Garn-St. Germain Act of 1982).
But then some people would be…
#45…
Pre-OIL….now there is some more good stuff to go get.

We might all have to accept the fact we’re all f*cked. The misery will get worse, the socialism will increase, get ready. Just remember what Winston Churchill said, “If you’re going through hell, keep going!”
I phoned John McCains’s office yesterday to let him knnow how I felt about his meeting with La Raza. ( like he really cared.)
His presidential hq # is 703-418 2008
Senate # 202-224-2235
I say I won’t vote for him, then I hear Obama, and Michelle O.,and I think I’ve got to vote for McCain, I do the same with Hillary.
With either of them, we’ll be taxed to death!!
There is nothing that John McCain offers to me as a conservative to vote for him:
1. he is not good on abortion (what has he done for the anti-abortion movement???), even sued I think it was the Minnesota Rights to Life group all the way to the US supreme court. And he is pro-embrionic stem cell research.
2. War on Terror: no waterboarding, rights for terrorists, due process by moving them to US soil, seems to think Iraq is it - not good enough. And why did he allow CLinton to cut the military? He seems to fiht for illegals hard enough, but did not fight for the military. And why can’t he memorize a speech, he has to read a teleprompter.
3. Judges: I don’t believe him. He did not like alito, he will only nominate conservatives, knowing they will get rejected then will jump for joy to nominate another Stevens or Sutter.
4. illegals: we all know open borders Juan and anyone trying to claim otherwise of this man must think we are all morons, NOT
5. global warming bandwagon, ruin more US businesses (we have lost 30 mill US jobs under Bush, will lose more under McShame on hte alter of globalism)
6. anti-big business (big oil is the big bad wolf based on MCwhatever)
7. economy: self admitted to be clueless or something like that, tells people in Michigan to go to community college and get better education, while jobs keep being exported or taken over by illegals.
8. He hates conservatives. Has no problem attacking us, but cannot attack BO or Hillary, no, they are his color, BLUE.
And why won’t his very rich wife release her tax returns? I think we all have the right to know the lifestyle MCSahme has been enjoying on her dime, including the alleged private jet use for his campaign at a reduced price. By the way, does anyone think his homeS have virtual fences around them????
As to O’Reilly, I NEVER thought he was a good interviewer. He definitelly would not have been a very good lawyer. He thinks way too much of himself, so I rarely watch him anymore, especially after he stopped using MM because of that scum, Geraldo. Keep on fighting MM, we need more like you. MM for President. Goodnight to all. I will pray for a miracle this November.
McCain is such a Richard. There is no way I will vote for this guy, donate time or, $$ to the GOP.
“
———–
by that logic, liberals should have then insisted that Gov Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door was simply local “democracy in action” too, and they should have been dead set against the president sending federal troops to enforce de-segregation
you can’t have it both ways–that is, unless you are a phony hypocrite liberal
Last year I left the Republican party. They will NEVER get a penny from me.
Today my wife became an American citizen. She finally gets to vote and there is no-one to vote for.
Hopefully in 5 years we can sell our house and move to the Philippines to raise our family.
We will NEVER look back.
You guys better learn to speak spanish.
Press 1 for Spanish, Press 2 for English.
I watched the O’Reilly interview and thought it was as wimpy as his interview with Hillary.
However, did anyone catch the “change” in McCain’s tune, I thought I heard him carefully say “Immigration Reform” conveniently leaving off the word “Comprehensive”.
Did anyone else catch this?
I think he’s trying to differentiate from the lightening rod words that we all know from last summer of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” so now he is just calling it “Immigration Reform”. Same thing, different name.
Michelle, I watched and he did mention “biometrics” and then later “we have to do something about the 12 million already here”. Why didn’t Bill O. ask the simple followup question, if you have biometric IDs for noncitizens, and punish companies who hire them, then won’t many of those 12 million go home on their own as they won’t be able to find work here? But no, between Bill and the format we got no good answers from John Mc. He really does seem in the tank for illegal immigrants. Don’t get it at all.
Goddam it, they are NOT ‘temporary guests’, they are ILLEGAL ALIENS, breaking Federal Law - how hard is that to comprehend, even for a self-centered 71-year-old git like McCain?
Say NO to McCain.
The LESSER OF TWO EVILS philosophy has led us- via a slow slide- to the socialist left:
McCain would have been a Democrat in the late 60s early 70s.
O’Reilly is turning into an empty suit.
Don’t even talk to me about Geraldo.
No more slick plays of LOTE for me.
Take away judges and foreign policy and there appears to be little difference between Obama and McCain. Further, I’m NOT convinced McCain will actually appoint conservative judges - we just can’t trust the guy.
I’ll vote 3rd party or write-in - McCain and the GOP get nothing from me.
Sen. McCain did not address the ‘Sanctuary City’ question at all, he just mumbled to get by.
His answers on ILLEGAL immigration and energy resources was appalling!
I just can’t wait for tomorrows continuation.
O’Reilly wants all three candidates on so bad he isn’t ‘Spinn’n', he just isn’t asking the questions we want the answers to.
The next four years are going to be bad no matter who wins.
Securing the borders might be even worse than the present situation.
If the borders were secure, the politicians might consider this the hurdle they needed to overcome in order to pass legislation such as the Hagel-Martinez bill, which reportedly might have brought in as many as 200 million more Mexicans and assorted chamberpot immigrants. McCain to Michelle: “Darlin’, we did what you wanted and secured the border, so now we only have legal immigration, and immigration made our country great.”
Both the Democrats and Republicans want hordes of immigrants, so it will be difficult to stop them. The Dems want those votes that they get from low end chamberpot immigrants, and the Republicans want a Chinese or Indian type of labor force to jack up business profits.
Either they are trying to actively destroy the USA economically and with an unsustainable influx of immigrants or they are trying to make it such a desperate situation that the SPP begins to look good to us. No matter who wins the election we are so screwed.
Just a thought.
Then again, perhaps this liberal incursion will be so bad that we turn around and get forty years of Conservative rule as the liberals had before?
Hey! As long as I am still allowed to think for myself I can still dream can’t I? Then again, at the rate we are going, thinking for one’s self may soon be illegal as well.
No spin zone my arse. O’Reilly had a golden opportunity to pin McCain down on his Amnesty plan and threw him a softball. It was nothing more than a Barbara Walters interview (nothing but warm and fuzzy).
The whole segment made me sick.
Bill O’Reilly just became even more irrelevant.
I believe O’R is becoming too soft. What happened to him? I don’t like McCain’s stance on immigration nor his friend Juan Hernandez. . .whoa is me. . .can’t someone else run? People say Bobby Jindal needs more experience but he’s my choice. . .don’t think anyone can clean up the mess in Louisianna anyway. Our country needs a good cleansing from top to bottom!
completely agreed. watched it this morning on the web. was the same kind of softball questions hillary got.
Used to watch O’R. still do, when he actually promotes jessica’s law stuff..but really, even that’s slacked off lately.
At this point it’s safe to say McLemon!
The Ron Paul
supporters have it right. My first choice was Duncan Hunter, and then I went undecided. But imagine Ron Paul.He is still a candidate folks. Even though he can not win if enough folks support him he could actually influence this election. I must say that even at its worst he is better than Mcnasty and we would have a secure border.MM keep us aprised of how Nevada turns. I expect MS-13 to wipe out the Ron Paul supporters.LOL
Yup, Duncan Hunter was my first choice as well. Oh well, there is always 2012.
Meanwhile, as much as I loathe some of the likely decisions a President McCain might make, he is still a far better choice than a President Obama.
In order for there to be a Ronald Reagan, you gotta first have a Jimmy Carter. We might end up with a Dem in the White House in 2009, but if things continue to go well in Louisiana, I dare say that we could have eight years of a Jindal adminstration starting in 2013, and finally true conservatives running the government.
One can hope..
I was very disappointed with McCain on The Factor last night. We have an environmentalist illegal-immigration sympathizer as our nominee! Did I hear correctly… he’s willing to let us drill offshore, but not in ANWR. Like O’Reilly said “no one will see it.” He said the gas tax holidy was just a little break, so what the hell is he going to do for us? O’Reilly should/could have hit him harder, but he didn’t.
Seriously, what is this country waiting on regarding gas prices? What is going on?!
Nobility said Ron Paul could influence the election. How? There’s only one way. Taking enough votes from McCain and giving it to a marxist canidate. Why don’t you just vote for the scumbag? There’s no difference in Paul and obummer on Iraq, so their supporters don’t care about our military personnel dying for nothing, and losing the war to terrorist.
The only way reason I won’t vote for McCain, would be if he started giving up on the war, too. In the meantime, I’m still voting for him in November, but that’s just me.I’m sick to death of his stand on immigration, and pandering to the illegal’s votes, but not enough to put a marxist in the white house.
On May 9th, 2008 at 1:16 am, Alphonse said:
Right on point. We are screwed. I feel like I am a passenger on a train watching a train wreck about to happen, and the engineer (the pols) appear oblivious to the coming disaster. The pols/engineer are looking out only 30 feet in front of the train rather than a mile down the tracks. Between mass immigration leading to excess diversity, defict spending, pandering, entitlements, squabbling minorities, corrupt pols, apathy on the part of the citizens, looming amnesty for illegals etc, our nation can not stand for long. And we might as well accept that amnesty is a foregone conclusion. The pols know they only need to wait it out and the interest will wane. I give up. I have been trying to do my part for the past several years. Joined the minutemen, went to the border muster in Texas, joined NumbersUSA and FAIR, donated Thousands of $ to the groups as well as good candidates like Tancredo and many others. Tried to educate everyone I encounter on the provblems. Every single one agreed, but nobody wanted to do anything. As long a bellies are full and quality of life good, nothing will change. Sorry to be do depressing, and I hope I am wrong, but it just seems like we are headed the way of Rome and all other great civilizations of history. So I will just continue to preach to the choir here on this site as at least a release of my frustrations. Hopefully, someone can convince me I am wrong.
O’Reilly sucked up - why? Very disappointed with O’Reilly. Of course McAmnesty is a lost cause. Best thing for us to do is fight hard at the local level to keep our towns free from the scum. Its evident that those towns which offer jobs and housing to illegals are already suffering with debt in their hospitals and schools.
Part 2 of the interview will be on tonight.
#50 RealImmigrantChick: Totally agree with you, especially about the judges. I hadn’t even thought of that, but you’re right. With a Democrat controlled Congress they’ll never vote in a real conservative. (And you can tell that McCain is already trying to scare us conservatives into voting for him on that subject alone.) Well, I will not vote for McCain in November and I will pray that the conservative supremes on the bench stay healthy and live long lives! God help America.
McAmnesty still lying, what’s new about that. A man who will look you in the eye and lie is not a man of character.
Why go with the fake Marxists when you can have the real deal. As the Brits showed recently, it’s a short round trip.
This is a timeless message and the main theme is that people should throw off apathy and be as involved as they can in the attack on their Country in our Case The Good ole USA.
http://imustimes.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/let-us-all-learn-by-the-example-of-martin-neimoller/
There seems to be a strong positive correlation between the degree of arrogance and stupidity (or opacity) regarding the amnesty issue. I give you O’Reilly, McCain, Geraldo, Bush, Ted Kennedy, and former govenor of New York Eliot Spitzer as evidence. What remains is to discover the causal link.
Just please remember what the folks of AZ already know IN SPADES. Ol’ JUAN don’t get mad, he gets even. He lost to GWB in 2000. He was the biggest pain in the ASS BUSH has had for the 71/2 years. WE defeated HIS AMNESTY BILL last year…. Remember, “he may not always be right, BUT he ain’t never wrong!!!! YOU WILL PAY for your STUPIDITY!!!!
O’Reilly is more concerned about GETTING the interview than the content of the interview….There is a good reason I have called O’Reilly The CULTURE CAPITULATOR. The man is a phony and could barely contain his excitement at getting Hillary to sit down with him. If he gets Obama he too will genuflect in his presence. Fox has become a schill for same old political shenanigans and between their support of Geraldo ‘Open Borders’ Rivera and hiring Karl Rove I tune in rarely anymore. Sick to death of the whole lying bunch!
As far as McCain it USED to be politicians would lie before the election and stab us in the back afterwards. McCain knows conservatives have no choice but him so he is doing his slice and dicing before the election is even over. This country ain’t ours anymore in case you didn’t know!
Unless we have a national ID card to be a requirement for all citizens to vote, McCain and others will have to pander to the illegals because they make up a considerable amount of the vote. Non-American Citizens Changing the Course of American History. There’s quicker ways for an empire to commit suicide, though the current course is a pretty solid option.
Okay, as I see it, real conservatives have but one option left; start a new party SPECIFICALLY for this election only. A wet towel would be a better choice for POTUS, just as long as it understood fiscal conservatism and the Rights guaranteed in the Constitution! We’re all willing to gripe daily about how John McCain doesn’t support our beliefs, and the evils represented by the Demo-Twins, Shrillary and Obamessiah, and yet, we’re doing nothing to provide a viable third option.
Someone with skills, start a 3rd Party website. Personally, I like the name “the American Party”, but it’s probably already taken. I’ll write… whatever we need. Letters, memos, press releases, etc. My daily job is writing and I can at the least, do it as well or better than some of these bone-headed statements I’ve read from all three camps so far!
I’m completely serious about this. If we’re not giving our money to support Republicans, we should, collectively, have enough to do this on our own, right? Is the web big enough? Can we build our own party on here?
I strongly believe, if Ronald Reagan were alive today, this is what he’d expect or demand to see. Our Founding Fathers would be appalled by our apathy. I love my country too much to idly stand by and debate further which lever “stinks the least” come this November! Obviously, we need to ACT.
Comically, we gripe about Mexicans leaving Mexico because they’re unwilling to, or unable to fight the corruption in their government, when we ourselves remain frozen in a two-party system in which candidates from either side are equally elitist and corrupt. That, my dear friends, is the epitome of stupidity! If we have the time available to leave comments on here, then we’ve got the time available to organize the largest, most massive mobilization of conservative voters this nation has ever seen!
Folks, if we honestly believe the future of our country is at stake, how can we do any less?
Someone here said there is always 2012….NO THERE ISN’T.
Once the hoards start flooding this country , the country will be gone. Socialist leaders from there on in……That’s why this fight is so important. This election spells the end of this country.
The Corporate Globalists have won.
Juan McAmnesty couldn’t buy my vote . All 3 msm candidates are the Worst the Elites could dream up . No Way i vote any of those puppets . Live free or Die !
you’re right. you may want to open a euro account, just in case….
Yeah, I caught part of this so-called interview last night on Fox with O’Reilly and McCain. So much for the tough questions from O’Reilly.
Can’t you just imagine McCain debating either Obama or Clinton in the run up to the general election on issues like immigration, etc….
Obama: I support sanctuary cities
McCain: I would have to agree with my esteemed colleague on this matter.
Obama: I agree with giving illegal aliens amnesty and making them citizens of the U.S.
McCain: Again, I would have to agree with my esteemed colleague.
And, the list would go on and on.
So recognize that Bill O’Reilly is an entertainer. He’s an employee of a large media corporation, and follows the guidelines.
I don’t know how to influence Bill or his bosses. If there was an alternative at that time, I’d listen to them instead of Bill. But I only listen in the car, and Savage is on 4 hours after Bill anyway.
McCain beats Obama on critical issues like national security, abortion, judges and on and on. On those issues where conservatives are unhappy with McCain, Obama is either the same or to his left.

The only problem there is open borders with strong national security is an oxymoron. Stop importing muslims and you have just cut the risk of a terrorist attack on US soil by 90%. It is lesser of 2 evils again. Unfortunately for me, abortion is a non starter, and frankly I don’t trust him on judges either (not to mention allof the conservative judges are pretty young). So I find little redeemable about this rino, “I’ll build the GD fence if you wnat it”, backstabber. A victory in 08 only assures he is hte GOP nominee in 2012.
Open borders, which has been the status quo for decades has little to do with Muslim immigration. The 9/11 hijackers entered the US legally. I’d be more worried about Saudi students than Mexican nannies. Immigration is not the only issue in national security. Missile defense, for instance, is of utmost importance and I’ll take McCain on that one.
I’m sure Obama’s far left supporters CAN trust him on the sort of judges he’ll appoint. Right now some law professor is having tea with William Ayers and contmplating being the next Supreme Cout justice.
And a loss for McCain in 08 assures total Democrat control of both houses of congress and the White House in what would surely be the most far left government the US has ever had, all at a critical time of war.
Support the sacrifices our troops have made by electing a Commander-in-Chief we can all be proud of as he leads us to victory!

Sure he will make us proud.

Not my point. My point is it is ridiculous to import muslims legally or otherwise, which mcamnesty supports (as in mass immigration), while claiming to fight terrorists around th eowrld. Take care of your own home before you go to foreign lands to fight them.
I beleive in total, mcamnesty is slightly better than the others. But IMHO, the MOST important issue is mass immigration. It is decaying our country from within. By the time we “win” the war agaisnt terrorism abroad, there will be little left of the homeland. And on this issue there is not an iota of difference between them. Again, I will not validate the GOP’s drift leftward. And a mcamnesty win does just that while at the same time proving they can p*ss all over the base and still win.
Somebody tell me this is a joke.
We need a third party candidate for conservatives. No more pretending that the Republican Party is a conservative party any longer. It is a corporate entity. We need one person to all get behind and leave all three losers in the dust!!!
Third party, HA!
I have an idea that would put the Republicans out of business and force them to merge with the Donks!
The Federalist Party (modern incarnation).
It’s a party for conservatives of all stripes. Constition Party, Libertarian Party, and Reagan conservatives (”New Federalists”) would ALL go for this. It’s designed to set forth a list of things all conservatives are for, and allow the differences be resolved on a candidate-by-candidate basis.
whoops forgot my signoff ;))
