Where in the world is Juan Hernandez?
Reader Edgar spots a news article in El Universal about McCain Hispanic outreach advisor Juan “bloc, not a nation” Hernandez. He’s hard at work raising money for McCain, most recently for Cinco de Mayo campaign events. And he must be undoubtedly thrilled, of course, with his friend’s decision to speak to their fellow open-borders radicals at La Raza/The Race.

Edgar’s translation:
WASHINGTON.— Juan Hernández, an old member of the administration of president Vicente Fox, dedicates most of his time collecting funds for the presidential campaign of the candidate of the Republican Party, John McCain.
Hernández, linked to “Friends of Fox”—strategy in which businessmen sent irregular donations to the Fox campaign —, serves as the advisor in Hispanic matters of McCain.
From an e-mail of a law firm in Texas, the former director of the Presidential Office for Mexicans abroad during Fox’s presidency, invited to celebrate the Cinco de Mayo festivals with John McCain, in Arlington, Virginia.
In the invitation a funds contribution format was enclosed, in which sums were asked that went from a thousand to 9 thousand 200 dollars per couple.

“But maybe his allegance is to a North American Union”
I’d like to see any quotes of his that would support that as i’ve not seen any [i mean him explcitly talking about the nau -- i'll spot you that his open-borders crap, sadly, isn't contrary to the concept]
McCain is betraying the people of Arizona, his constituents.
he not only led the fight for the amnesty bill, but he also has been adamantly opposed to EVERY single state proposition that was crafted to crack down on illegal aliens and those who hire them and those who give them public benefits.
thus, he is clearly on the side of the aliens and their corporate buddies. and he is a foe of the people of Arizona, not to mention the rest of us American citizens.
Good lord! Buckaroo is simply obfuscating the issue. “If you can’t provide an exact quote, then he did not say that”. By that logic, the dems have never advocated socialism via larger gov’t and entitlements. He fully understands how mcamnesty has voted in the past. Don’t even bother. He is obviously a mcamnesty staffer troll or a GOP staffer troll. Let’s face facts here folks. The GOP is NOT A PURELY CONSERVATIVE PARTY any longer. They have supported left leaning candidates with an “R” next to their name just to get power. They care more about getting and mainating power than any priciples they once held. There are good GOP elected officials (Tancredo/Hunter/Sessions/ etc). But there are many who are atrocious (mccain/graham/hutchinson/etc). My litmus test is immigration stance. Many dems are better that these guys. Stop arguing with this troll. He is here to discredit and disrupt. End of story.
This issue will possibly erupt into a “states rights” issue. It will only be solved on the local level. I would think that the states could (if they would) secure their own borders. The national guard should be on the border now. MSM has everyone focused on the state of the economy, and not so much on the cause. Indiana has lost 16,000 jobs this year. Deport 16,000 illegals, create 16,000 jobs. Simple.
Buckaroo, can you explain why I should vote for a guy that is in favor of illegal aliens taking over our streets?
This is what a McCain vote will bring us.
Go Ahead and Vote for McAmnesty. You’ll have gangs running all over the place.
Buckaroo,
The only serious difference between McCain and HillBama is that they are different names-like names of different football teams-but result in the same consequences.
A basic rule of economics is that people are not going to buy something that makes them very unhappy after they’ve made an informed decision..why stuff McCain on us?
The three presidential candidates fit neatly on what we econ students call an
indifference curve…no matter who you pick you get the same level of “happiness”
McInsane Lost another one of his voters. This is the type of guy Juan Hernandez wants us to accept. I don’t, do you? Deport them now.

oh man…!
And this:

“no matter who you pick you get the same level of “happiness””
then you have a pretty hopeless way of measuring happiness if you really beleive that …
i’m not “stuffing” anything, i simply point out [and will continue to do so, no matter how many times i am slandered here] that there is one positive choice to make in the autumn and 2 negative ones — and self-righteous tools incessantly prattling on about making one of the 2 negative ones are acting in a destructive manner …
“He is obviously a mcamnesty staffer troll or a GOP staffer troll”
and you are a LIAR for making that false statement multiple times now — piss off …
I just saw that. Here’s another one.
McCain Supporter
um, isn’t the trite “he’s an ilegal piece of scum so he MUST support JSM” false argument the exact type of faulty reasoning y’all routinely slam the nutroots for?
/screw it — the mds label stays …
Buckaroo, I’m not against McCain, just his policy to let these scum bags become citizens. It’s war here in Los Angeles and his Dumb A$$ doesn’t even get it. And if he’s too stupid to understand that, I don’t want him in the White House. That’s all. Drop Juan Hernandez and his amnesty plan and I’ll hold my nose and vote for him. If now, Screw the loser.
IF NOT, screw the loser.
I just received what I believe was a donation letter from McCain, I get the mail & pass by my trash can on the way into the house..guess what went into the trash with the rest of the junk mail. I can not bring myself to vote McPain, maybe we need to sit this one out or vote for the Dem in protest until Washington offers up a real Conservative. I sure miss the days of being called a Buchanan Isolationist.
Get behind this guy:

If he’s not on the ballot, then vote Libertarian.
Well, Barr was a Republican. I still wish Newt got in.
Re: #114
Buckaroo, you are not being slandered at least by me anyhow…it just seems to me that your method of selection for POTUS is little more than does the candidate have an “R” or a “D” after his/her name… I admit i’ve done the same thing in the past, but I now regret it.
Buckaroo, can you specifically give me hard reasons to vote for McCain that elicit a clearly discernable difference apart from Obama/Clinton?
This is my challenge to you tonight.
So corry to change the subject to more importan stuff, but I just heard that Eddie Arnold died a few hours ago. I was never a big C&W fan but I grew up in the D.C. area, Mel Tillis, Porter Waggoner, Roy Clark (who was born & raised a few block from here) and, yes, Eddie Arnold. To me it wasn’t just C&W music, it was MUSIC - some of the best ever.
I have to go now and weep a little bit.

I think this is “reasons to vote for JSM VI” by now [or maybe it's VII, I've lost track]
anywho:
* take a hard line against wasteful spending [like the housing bill from today!]
* win in Iraq, & serve notice to Iran, Syria, NK, and whoever else is stupid enough to threaten us
* keep the military in top shape to be able to accomplish the above
* work towards protection for the unborn
* reinforce that yes, the 2nd amend. really is an individual right
* put judges on the federal bench at all levels that believe in the above, and will simply INTERPRET the laws passed by congress

i tend not to be in the habit of flushing my vote down the toilet …
Sad to say the Republican base has no one to blame but themselves on this. Look at it from the RINO establishment’s point of view: The two candidates who were most for open borders either won or came in second. The wishy-washy candidate (Romney, of course) on border security finished in the middle. And the candidates who were strongest for border security were blown out of the water. Blaming the media won’t cut it. If Republican voters don’t educate themselves (and they didn’t) or signaled they don’t care (which they did), it is hardly the Establishment’s fault that they took the voting results seriously and we are now stuck with John and Juan. Anyone can graph the primary results. Its not that that difficult to draw the obvious conclusion.
And what if the results had been reversed and McCain/Huckabee had been blown away, and Dan Tancredo won solidly? Would we then be sympathetic to open-borders RINOs whining they were the one’s who truly reflected the party’s values? I don’t think so. So the secure borders people lost big time. Maybe in four years . . . whoops, too late.
Note: I don’t like this any more than you do, but the base screwed up and in the process screwed themselves and the country real bad.
RE: 122
Buckaroo
1. have you noticed McCain’s support for the earmark benefitting La Raza?
2. Yes we may be in Iraq for a long time unless we do what we should have done in 2003-go after Syria, Iran, and Iraq….until we take out Iran and Syria militarily we won’t “win” Iraq.
3. Keep military in great shape-either party will spend on military procurement-whether or not it is the best spending is always the question.
4. John McCain who wants to call mexican lawbreakers “God’s children”, has refused to lift other than the middle finger for anti-abortion forces (except during an election year).
Moreover his campaign finance reform efforts did nothing but muzzle conservatives during key races..not exactly looking out for our 1st amendment rights.
5. Yes John will put federal judges on the benches but they will be liberals…take notice of his derision of Justice Alito when Alito was picked by Bush…only now he says he pick more Alitos in an election year.
6. Second amendment…in a post Heller world, many libs will all of a sudden say they too are for the 2nd amendment..but here is the catch Buckaroo…they will pile on as much regulation on people who own or want to buy guns as they can.
Moreover, John McCain wants to re-enact the kind of legislation renewing the 1994 Assault Weapon ban…in which your chosen gun will be declared an “assault weapon” and banned because it has whatever physical characteristic they don’t like from one day to the next.
I could really go on about John McCain and the 2nd Amendment. Gun Owners of America has given john McCain an “F” rating, and the NRA only gave him a “C+”…not good Buckaroo
10 years ago I could say that a good indicator of just how “conservative” a politician was was how consistently they supported the second amendment… atrue conservative candidate would past muster with both the NRA and GOA…if they could pass muster on this right, they understood that Americans has rights across the board, and did not want to get fleeced on government spending.
Now the picture has changed completely.
A politician who does not support the rights of Americans who played by the rules on immigration has no respect for them.
Illegal immigration gives liberal politicians like McCain the opportunity to encourage vote fraud and most chillingly, Buckaroo, the fervent opportunity to replace your vote on issues with those of a fawning army of illegal aliens…this is why the libs of both parties love illegal immigration.
This has the effect of making your participation in the political process null and void.
McCain = makes me sick.

Nobody translated this part. It roughly translates to:
Hernandez mantains a low profile, to not draw the ire of conservatives who see in him a man of “divided loyalties”, because of his dual citizenship and his defense of the immigrants in the US.
Darn right it would draw our ire! It shows how slick and slimy Hernandez is, and did not McCain himself say:
“I’ll rely on people to judge me by the company that I keep.” ? I used to think McCain was some doddering old fool, but no more. Now, he is old, but he seems to be deceptive and have intentions to do things to the country that are bad for us all. If your Latino outreach person (Hernandez) has to stay on the down-low, what is he doing that is wrong? This is what I am judging him by, not sheer emotion, though I have that too.
Oh, and I wonder if Ted Olson makes the cut if JSM get elected… I bet Warren (David Souter?) Ruddman does.

Take your pom poms and go away TROLL. BTW, you kiss your boyfriend with that mouth?
I came to the conclusion a long time ago the Democrat party did not speak for me nor did it support the values I hold. Therefore all my life I’ve supported the Republicans. But I’m at that point now with the Republican party. They do not care about the country, and they no longer (if they ever did) support the values I hold dear. Therefore in November I’ll be writing in Mr Magoo on the ballot. If Obama wins so be it.
Because George Allen was hosed by the media because of some stupid made up word that the media turned into a racial slur. That’s how.
What good is McCain’s service, if he turns around and sells the same country?
No matter the past, McCain is a TRAITOR!
