2. Yes we may be in Iraq for a long time unless we do what we should have done in 2003-go after Syria, Iran, and Iraq….until we take out Iran and Syria militarily we won’t “win” Iraq.

3. Keep military in great shape-either party will spend on military procurement-whether or not it is the best spending is always the question.

4. John McCain who wants to call mexican lawbreakers “God’s children”, has refused to lift other than the middle finger for anti-abortion forces (except during an election year).
Moreover his campaign finance reform efforts did nothing but muzzle conservatives during key races..not exactly looking out for our 1st amendment rights.

5. Yes John will put federal judges on the benches but they will be liberals…take notice of his derision of Justice Alito when Alito was picked by Bush…only now he says he pick more Alitos in an election year.

6. Second amendment…in a post Heller world, many libs will all of a sudden say they too are for the 2nd amendment..but here is the catch Buckaroo…they will pile on as much regulation on people who own or want to buy guns as they can.

Moreover, John McCain wants to re-enact the kind of legislation renewing the 1994 Assault Weapon ban…in which your chosen gun will be declared an “assault weapon” and banned because it has whatever physical characteristic they don’t like from one day to the next.
I could really go on about John McCain and the 2nd Amendment. Gun Owners of America has given john McCain an “F” rating, and the NRA only gave him a “C+”…not good Buckaroo

10 years ago I could say that a good indicator of just how “conservative” a politician was was how consistently they supported the second amendment… atrue conservative candidate would past muster with both the NRA and GOA…if they could pass muster on this right, they understood that Americans has rights across the board, and did not want to get fleeced on government spending.

Now the picture has changed completely.

A politician who does not support the rights of Americans who played by the rules on immigration has no respect for them.

Illegal immigration gives liberal politicians like McCain the opportunity to encourage vote fraud and most chillingly, Buckaroo, the fervent opportunity to replace your vote on issues with those of a fawning army of illegal aliens…this is why the libs of both parties love illegal immigration.

This has the effect of making your participation in the political process null and void.

And what if the results had been reversed and McCain/Huckabee had been blown away, and Dan Tancredo won solidly? Would we then be sympathetic to open-borders RINOs whining they were the one’s who truly reflected the party’s values? I don’t think so. So the secure borders people lost big time. Maybe in four years . . . whoops, too late.

Note: I don’t like this any more than you do, but the base screwed up and in the process screwed themselves and the country real bad.

anywho:
* take a hard line against wasteful spending [like the housing bill from today!]
* win in Iraq, & serve notice to Iran, Syria, NK, and whoever else is stupid enough to threaten us
* keep the military in top shape to be able to accomplish the above
* work towards protection for the unborn
* reinforce that yes, the 2nd amend. really is an individual right
* put judges on the federal bench at all levels that believe in the above, and will simply INTERPRET the laws passed by congress

I have to go now and weep a little bit.
