Oopsie! Obama adviser a little too chummy with Hamas.

By see-dubya  •  May 9, 2008 04:23 PM

Under the bus with you! On a Friday afternoon, while nobody’s watching:

One of Barack Obama’s Middle East policy advisers disclosed today that he had held meetings with the militant Palestinian group Hamas - prompting the likely Democratic nominee to sever all links with him.

Robert Malley told The Times he had regularly been in contact with Hamas, which controls Gaza but is listed by the US State Department as a terrorist organisation. Such talks, he stressed, were related to his work for a conflict resolution think tank and had no connection with his position on Mr Obama’s Middle East advisory council.

“I’ve never hidden the fact that in my job with the International Crisis Group I meet all kinds of people,” he added.

But Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Mr Obama, responded swiftly, saying: “Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.”

H/T to Ace.

Hmmm…..let’s run this one last time. I may need to update it soon, and get that irrelevant Hillary stuff off of there.

demoterrorsmall.png

MORE: O’Malley’s group, the International Crisis Group (which is funded by Soros), made a recent appearance in these virtual pages here–condemning the U.S. airstrike that disintegrated the head of Al-Qaeda in Somalia.

It’s not just Hamas he’s chummy with: here’s O’Malley advocating negotiations with recently-thwarted nuclear aspirant Syria. That’s not as surprising, though: another adviser, Carter-era leftover Zbigniew Brzezinski, has actually gone to Syria to negotiate, and Obama has advocated doing so himself once he’s in office.

Obama’s magnificent jeans declined to comment.

AFTERTHOUGHT: Where did this “under the bus” saying come from? Newsweek doesn’t like it any more.

brooklyn red, One thing I learned in bosnia and macedonia is that the fight can change in a heartbeat in a completely unexpected way. In bosnia, the serbs and muslims were intermarrying and were having dinner at each others homes literaly days before the war. All it took were a few people to start the cycle of violence. In bosnia what the serbs did was they would enter a serb house and say we are going to kill a family tonight, it can be yours or a muslim family. So of course they serbs pointed out a muslim house and the muslims were slaughtered. From there the muslims started doing the same and the cycle just grew and grew. That may not work here exactly that way but you see how it can start. There is enough of a base of ill feelings and division here in the usa to do something similar. In fact in some ways it is worse here. It would not suprise me to see wide spread violence if McCain wins in november because americans have no idea how bad it can get and how quickly it could get there.

I think we are going to see a lot of this: i.e. Obama playing whack-a-mole with his more zealous aides and supporters, those who are looking forward a little too eagerly to taking back Washington. This is however more indicative of the confidence of the Obamaite’s than anything else. Frankly, I am getting worried. It seems clear enough that everyone around him is getting the message: “Get ready for the big party 1/20/09, but just make sure you don’t get caught. Because if you do, I will disown you — at least until 1/21/09.”

And on that glorious day, we can expect hoards of Carteristas and yes left over Clintonians to pour into the capitol because when you think about that really is what the Democrat Party is all about: a jobs program for unqualified and treasonous intellectuals.

Now it never pays to be overconfident, but those among us who think this is going to be a McGovern-type disaster, I believe are in for a severe disappointment. It’s far more likely to be a close one, which is bad enough, but whatever blunders Obama makes, his base will forgive him anything. McCain on the other hand, loathes his base and the feeling is mutual. This is not good. Reagan won by starting with his base, and reaching outward from there. McCain, I think, is attempted something like the reverse. It won’t work.

    I just re-read the statement…
{Robert Malley told The Times he had regularly been in contact with Hamas, which controls Gaza but is listed by the US State Department as a terrorist organisation. Such talks, he stressed, were related to his work for a conflict resolution think tank and had no connection with his position on Mr Obama’s Middle East advisory council.

    “I’ve never hidden the fact that in my job with the International Crisis Group I meet all kinds of people,” he added.}}

WHAT KIND OF WORLD DO THESE LIB FREAKS LIVE IN?
    He’s chatting with Hamas REGULARLY???
He casually states that he does this as anormal course of business in his duties with a “CONFLICT RESOLUTION THINK TANK??????????” WHAT THE F@#$??

Which CONFLICT has this OBAMA-ASS-HAT ……RESOLVED???
Does he REGULARLY chat with the VICTIM of HAMAS…….ISRAEL????

This shit gets published so CASUALLY. This is GLIB LIB SPEAK.

And this CRAP is the mindless DRIVEL that JESUS OBAMA believes in.

His REGULAR TALKS with HAMAS have NO CONNECTION to his role with OBAMA as a MIDDLE EAST ADVISOR!!!

And the MSM just prints this shit??

Oh, no, nothing to see here.
His MIDDLE EAST ADVISOR says that his REGULAR TALKS with HAMAS, have NO CONNECTION to his role as OBAMA’S MIDDLE EAST ADVISORY POSITION!!!

His CHATS WITH HAMAS, are in no way related to the advice he gives OBAMA, and that OBAMA seeks from him.

He is just in the business of CONFLICT RESOLUTION.

This is so far out there that it is scary. The MSM is so completely co-opted, that they see NO STORY here.

Malley’s position with the Obama campaign had raised eyebrows repeatedly and led to denials that he was anything more than a bit player. Now we must demand to know exactly what his relationship to the candidate has been during all this time and what advice he was dispensing. The longer this campaign drags on, the more cockroaches emerge from Obama’s woodwork, or so it seems.

That millions of people will ignore this latest episode of Obummer’s kissing up to hamas, shows how brain dead they are.Just like the Wright chapter, they’re letting it fly right over their heads. The marxist believer can do no wrong in their eyes. He lies and says he knew nothing about anything, hasn’t and won’t sink into their heads. All they see is a President giving them food stamps, free medical help, welfare checks, money for utility bills, ect, ect.
O’Reilly keeps saying how his numbers have fallen, since the Wright chapter, well I don’t see it when he’s getting so many votes in the primaries. Anybody that thinks this guy is less popular than he was last week, don’t have a clue to his popularity. I fear for this Great Country of ours. I hope by some miracle, he doesn’t claim the Oval Office.

Only those who refuse to see cannot in great detail understand exactly what an Obama Presidency will be.

There is no one in this mans life who could even be described as center left.

We are facing a complete left turn in every area of life if Obama is elected.

It will not matter one iota what polls suggest he should do, he will go left on foreign policy, fiscal matters, judicial appointments, social justice, and every thing else.

To our friends overseas who have come to rely on our stalwart support, if this happens, hang on, 4 years is not such a long time.

Otherwise I hope you can forgive us.

Maybe it is just me, but the growing number of these Dukakian “oversights” is becoming indefensible.

Obama has some serious, disqualifying flaws, associations and beliefs, and if McCain has the testicular fortitude to run with them, he will be the next president.
