Puhleeze, Barney’s been in the news with all kinds of shenanigans (boyfriend running a prostitution ring out of their shared apartment?) Claimed he didn’t know anything about it? He is the definition of why term limits is absolutely necessary to get these corrupt people out of lawmaking!

…I think Smith Barney the Frank should never be described as plopping on anything…

I also think the NYT would never give such fawning praise to other wide-stance Congressmen.

Between an economic stimulus package and the Federal Reserve’s rescue of Wall Street, he said, “they have been pushed into accepting a lot of government help for the market.”

Translation: I want pork for my voters too.

Doesn’t that “14th term” part make you want to cringe?

This guy’s been in politics (and he’s certainly not alone!) most of his adult life. And this is the best he can do.

Paulson was head of Goldman Sachs back when it was bundling these crappy mortgages into collateralized debt obligations. And then in order to get an appointment past the Democrat Congress, Bush picked him. Paulson said at the time, that he was going to take a big pay hit, but truth be told, that’s nothing compared to getting caught with red hands. A bit later, like last summer, Goldman Sachs famously went short against all the subprime companies and scored their best quarter ever.

He sailed through the Congressional review, a nominal month after Bush announced his appointment. That he is a global warming true believer and Kyoto Kisser might have something to do with that.

So he gets along with B. Frank. What else is new?

What is is with the state of MA? Kerry, Kennedy, Franks? I am just amazed that New Hampshire has been able to be such a reasonable state(for now) being the meat in between the bread of liberal MA and VT?

I noticed that the Times did not mention the name of Steven Gobey. For those too young to recall Steven Gobey, look it up in Google. He was apparently Barney’s boytoy and some parking tickets were conveniently taken careof. The NY Times found it appropriate to cite unnamed sources from 10 years ago to say McCain had an affair but when it comes to left wing politicians that the Times adores, such as Barney Frank and Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson, the Times forgets what it wants to forget.
