We defeated Shamnesty twice and the Dream Act once. All were handily defeated with no holds barred. Period. The Politicos in DC are at it again and it is on two fronts – or backs – because it is being “attached” to legalese nonsense….

As many as 200 U.S.-trained Mexican security personnel have defected to drug cartels to carry out killings on both sides of the border and as far north as Dallas, Rep. Ted Poe, R-Humble, told Congress on Wednesday.

The renegade members of Mexico’s elite counter-narcotics teams trained at Fort Benning, Ga., have switched sides, contributing to a wave of violence that has claimed some 6,000 victims over the past 30 months, including prominent law enforcement leaders, the Houston-area Republican told the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

And, even worse:

Poe held aloft a dramatic, poster-board-size photograph that he said showed guerrilla-style commandos crossing into the United States. He said the Department of Homeland Security had documented “over 250 incursions by suspected military forces” into the United States over the past decade.

Specific numbers of green cards are actually an aside to the point(s) I was making.

Why should business pay for the education that benefits them (as they used too) when they can double dip with already (and better) trained foreign workers for smaller salaries?

Our education systems can’t compete with foreign subsidies and students can’t afford comparable training to begin with.

Thats why years ago businesses trained skilled workers for their specific needs but unfair competition and a misguided education system has removed any reason to do so.

Regarding the amnesty, does anyone else feel like they are talking to a 3-year-old? No… I said no… no way. Did you hear me? I said no… You aren’t listening to me! Okay — time out for you!! (Too bad we can’t actually do that last one.)

I sent a harshly-worded letter to my senators. Unfortunately, they are Boxer and Feinstain so I doubt it will make much difference!

Workers applying for the program would have to prove they had worked on U.S. farms for at least 150 days or 863 hours, or had earned at least $17,000 during the last four years. They would have to remain working in agriculture for the next five years, when the program would expire.

Excuse me, but how is all of this verification going to take place? Who or what entity will be handing out the temporary legal status? That roaring sound you hear is millions of illegals in this country running to get in line for this scam. Does anyone doubt it won’t be a scam?
