One lesson we should take away from 2008 is that IOWA is not representative of “middle America”. IOWA has proven itself representative of BRAIN-FARTS on a grand scale, but certainly NOT “middle America”.

Here’s an idea: in 2012, IOWA goes LAST in the primaries. Never again should those dingleberries have first say in choosing our president.

That would have been good, or;

Hey, it’s like Wal-mart back there; prices falling on Chinese-made goods!”

Or, the really savy;

“Now that Hillary’s almost out of the runnin’, Senator Obama’s been waitin’ for the other shoe to drop. And there it was…”

or perhaps even;
“Are any of Senator Obama’s old radical college professors here tonight?”

My favorite would have been;

“No, no, no… Hillary said the fireworks were for AFTER her coronation!” said while looking backstage and shaking his head…

Cue applause…

To make a joke before a crowd steeped in proper gun training about someone AIMING a gun at a half-black contender for any party’s nomination, and coming from the lips of a SOUTHERN ex-Govenor, is a MONUMENTAL faux pas!

The point is, he made the stupidest joke possible, in the poorest taste possible.

To sum up – it’s either “anything goes” or we are consistent across the board when someone goes over the line. I favor consistency.

I have always taught my kids, if it is as funny to you when someone does it TO YOU as it is to you when YOU DO IT to someone ELSE, THEN it is funny. If you don’t like it done TO YOU, then it isn’t funny WHEN YOU DO IT.

You’d think someone RUNNING on their “CHRISTIANITY” would recognize THE GOLDEN RULE when they hear it breaking and it “sounds like a chair falling backstage”.

Huckleberry seems as familiar with the Golden Rule as he does with all the other Christian ethics.
