Cool kid.
It’s good to see a new generation of true patriots coming up. God Bless him.
May God Bless you young man in all you do. It’s an honor to know you.
That’s what duty is all about! May he never be forgotten. Bravo Zulu
Does bring a smile to my face!
A fine young man.
Kudo’s to the parents who have raised such a fine young man.
awesome
It is great to hear stories about kids like him.
“I stand for duty, honor, God and country.” Yes you do young man.
Thanks for the “heads up”. It did bring a smile to my face.
All the local Denver tv stations have been blasting the local airwaves with a piece of crap advertisement from moveon.org (barf). It has some so-called republican bragging about voting for Obama.
This alternative to that “moveon” garbage was refreshing!
This boy is acting from his heart, his soul. He hasn’t been trained, taught, or conditioned to do this. It is heartwarming to know the American spirit is alive and well. The haters will soon be chewing on this story. We need to bite back.
out of the mouth of babes, right?
Good to see there are some who are still raising their kids right.
I am proud of my neighbors. I also live in Evergreen. If I ever get the chance, I will give kudos to Jeffery, and thank the Sahlis.
And in addition to this, how cool are the people of Evergreen Colorado?

Thanks Michelle. I really needed something uplifting this morning.
neat kid.
Thanks Michelle,
This was a wonderful story. Makes me proud to be an American that we have people who respect the flag as this young man does. God bless him and all our wonderful military.

That story is really moving. I am here in Iraq (as a civilian this time around) and it does my heart good to know that there are still truly patriotic out there. This boy will be a fine young man one day and I am certain that this is not the last time we will here of him.
Great kid, amazing what happens when you raise your son right, with respect and honor.
This is a lot more common than we think - but rarely reported on. We have a lot of good kids, it’s the little s-heads that get all the press.
Just keep raising your kids in the way you know best. There’s a reason the majority of the non-coastal United States votes conservatively.
Very nice story, especially after reading the article about the soldier who won’t serve in “illegal Iraq war”.
As the daughter of a Marine, this fills my heart with joy. This young man is an example of what we should all strive to be. I see good things in his future!
..a 14 year old role model - for all ages. Thanks Michelle.
Thanks, Michelle. I needed that.
God bless Jeffrey and his parents!
Yes, that story did bring a smile to my face. Cool kid.
Michelle, thanks for the
This is one awesome kids. It gives me optimism for our future. I hope my husband and I can raise our boys to be as honorable.
God Bless our youth, troops, and America!
This brought tears to my eyes. I spoke with my son this morning (from Iraq) and needed this. Thank you MM and God Bless you young man.
What an awesome kid! His parents are raising him right. They must be very proud.
When I was in elementary school (K-5), it was an honor as a 5th grader to be on Flag Duty…for a week two of us were responsible for raising and lowering Old Glory…I didn’t think that happened anymore……..am so impressed and proud of this young man!!! God Bless!!!
As a still serving twenty year veteran, I wish this young man all best in obtaining his appointment to West Point. We need more like him in the service now more than ever.
Thanks MM for another great story.
Awesomely awesome!
What a great kid. And, a pretty cool Sgt., too.
Tears of pride.
May God Bless you Jeffery and may God Bless America. I have a feeling that George Washington would be very proud of you.
This young man is a true American patriot, tks MM.
RTater, read your links, heart warming story, has special meaning for me, i have a grandson with downs, he’s graduating from hi-school the end of the month…i’m so proud of him.
There is a kid in Minnesota who couldn’t be bothered to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, who needs to meet Jeffrey.
Seventh grade flag duty was one of the best experiences of my life. I wouldn’t give up those ice-covered mornings for the world.
Keep it up, Jeffrey, and thanks for the inspiring words.
Yes, indeed, more thankful tears. Wow. Great story. Solid kid. Solid SGT, too. Way to go guys.
Floyd
(Southern Colorado, BTW)
Contrast that to the students in/near Minneapolis who were suspended for not standing for the Pledge of Allegiance, and the rush of fools who came to their defense.
I’d rather tout this young man’s accomplishments anyday. Good for him, from my corner of Colorado.
