While I feel your pain, I remember the Carter years all too vividly, and the only thing worse would have been the Great Depression. It was a miserable time. Yes, it got us a Reagan, but there has to be a better way. Carter IS the devil you do know, or best remember.

Well Juan Hernandez could be the straw that broke the McCain back. Senator McCain was so rude, nasty and dismissive to those of us upset with the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty that I can well belive just enough of the offended will sit home that terrible tuesday. I have often felt that much of President Bush’s low approval rating comes from his amnesty stand–millions of us just walked away.
Entirely too much and too many of the Republican Elite, or would be Elite, never learned that loyalty is a two way street. Senator McCain and his sister baby Senator Grahm are as bad as any.
