Say nice things about McCain, earn “points”

By Michelle Malkin  •  May 21, 2008 03:16 PM

The McCain campaign has a special program encouraging its supporters to leave positive comments about the candidate on other blogs. Via Jonathan Martin, we learn that those who leave McCain talking points on “featured blogs” like conservative Red State and moonbat Daily Kos will earn “points:”

Help spread the word about John McCain on news and blog sites. Your efforts to help get the message out about John McCain’s policies and plan for the future is one of the most valuable things you can do for this campaign. You know why John McCain should be the next President of the United States and we need you to tell others why.

Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you’ve commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below. After your comments are verified, you will be awarded points through the McCain Online Action Center.

In the spirit of transparency, if any of you leave pro-McCain comments in order to earn those “points,” I request that you disclose that information when you post here.

In the spirit of open dialogue and outreach, I encourage the rest of you all to reciprocate and leave your thoughts about McCain–say, his decision to retain Juan Hernandez, speak at the the La Raza/The Race conference, embrace anti-assimilationist campaign finance co-chair Jerry Perenchio, and perpetuate global warming hysteria, for starters– on the McCain campaign blog.

The McCain blog is here.

Sorry, I don’t have any “points” to give you.

Standing on principle in defense of security, sovereignty, and sound science is its own reward!

Hmmmm, McCain met Hagee once for what, an hour, trying to win some votes. Probably didn’t spend time watching the videos of his sermons.

BHO sat through Jeremiah Wright’s sermons for twenty years, and remembered enough of them to name a book after one of the sermons, and be able to quote “The White Man’s Greed runs a world in need”.

There are a LOT of nice things you can say about John McCain:

    He’s a real war hero.
He seems to love this wife a lot more than he did the last one.
He looks good in dark suits.
He seems to have fine personal hygiene.
I’m betting he knows what fork to use at a fancy dinner.

So, do I get my “Amnesty in ‘08″ T-Shirt now?

This should be worth points, and is about the only reason I’m voting for McCain.

Bear with me if I have said this before:

When Barak H. Obama becomes President in January of 2009, all the elderly liberal judges on the federal courts, including the Supreme Court, will retire. No later than 2010, in case Obama is such a train wreck the Republicans regain the Senate.

An elderly, dottering former ACLU chief abortion rights litigator like Ruth Bader-Ginsburg will be replaced with a 30-something or 40-something year old ACLU approved Marxist that Ginsburg would adopt as a child if she could. Across the board. An old super-lib closet case like Justice Souter will be replaced with an Andrew Sullivan wanna-be, except younger and without the potentially fatal viral infection. You get the picture. And, if during BHO’s four year term, Justices Roberts, Thomas, Scalia or Alito become sick or die, or the ‘moderate’ (he votes the right way or not based on coin flips, it appears) Justice Kennedy, we are saddled with close to half a century of a Supreme Court that will act as a third branch of Congress, mandating new laws (California SC and mandated gay marriage ring a bell?), and if we ever do get a Republican Congress and President again, they will act like a second and superior Executive branch, vetoing every law passed they don’t like.

Not to mention things people should care about like Planned Parenthood winding up in every school, tax-payer funded partial birth abortions, and all that other crap.

Maybe we could set up a points system for things said nicely about this site? :)

Can someone please refresh my memory? How did we end up with McCain? It seems to me that all the liberal republicans voted for McCain, while the conservatives cancelled each other out. How do we prevent this from happening again?

If only the other pro-amnesty RINO Giuliani hadn’t put all his eggs in the Florida basket. Romney wasn’t perfect, he wasn’t very strong on the Second Amendment, and his conversion to being pro-life seemed genuine, but it came late enough some questioned if it was sincere. And, the crypto-lib Huckster played the Mormon bigotry card pretty well, and none of the conservatives could rise above the pack, and split the Republican vote, while McCain had the RINO/Independent/cross-over Democrat vote to himself.

I myself donated money very early on to Duncan Hunter, he was head and shoulders the best candidate, but he didn’t have the money, name recognition or organization to compete, and Tancredo had a similar base.

How do we avoid this. With luck, McCain doesn’t pick another RINO like the Huckster. Romney would be ok, Hunter would rock, Jindal would be cool, and McCain would win, and then feel too old to seek re-election, and a real Republican would have the advantages of being the incumbent.

I don’t really trust McCain to pick a qualified conservative as his VP, but maybe, just maybe, the NRA ’shooting at Obama’ gaffe of Huckleberry’s has knocked him off McCain’s short list.

The only thing I can see being viable is getting points that are able to be redeemed in his online store for whatever they have there?

If there was a strong conservative that captured the vote early on, then McCain would have been brushed aside again.

Unless the democrats had their own operation chaos going on to get McCain the nominee, then we can point the finger of blame squarely on all the idiot republicans who voted for McCain.

I know that I tried. By the time the vote came to my state, I voted for the conservative I thought could win, but at that point, McCain already had the momentum from his previous wins. I certainly would have liked it if my vote was meaningful.

I sure wish the process was different, but that’s they way it went. Again, if a conservative would have been able to punch through from the start, then we wouldn’t be participating with this division and chaos that is most likely to get us all a democrat president this time around. It’s pretty much as simple as that.

About the worst senator ever thread and Graham and Larry ‘Wide Stance’ Craig, and the implication that McCain comes next.

This should be worth some points. If we use ‘ever’, than Lincoln Chaffee has to come ahead of McCain. Chaffee went from RINO to registered Democrat after his 2006 loss, but he caucused with the GOP in the Senate. And I’d dare suggest both of the women from Maine are even bigger RINOs than McCain.

That makes McCain no worse than sixth worst senator, ever. Unlike Hagel, at least he supports the troops. So, I’d say seventh.
