I think it would, judging by your litany of commentaries. As for the progress being “hard to tell,” it would be so only if you immersed yourself in the types of sources that you typically cite. A good scientist (does this include mathematicians?) review all the date before coming to a conclusion. You might find that useful in your “global warming” commentaries.

As for my “wandering rand (sic),” a review of my retort (#67) to your statement (reproduced in #67) seems particularly apropos in response to you point. Was it “wandering” simply because you didn’t agree or couldn’t counter argue, or did it just give you a way to snip it?

Back to the point: what about the solvency of Social Security and the references I gave you (#80)? Do you need further clarification? Please tell me how great SS is, about all of that money just sitting in the “trust fund” (a misnomer if there ever was one; doesn’t a fund have to have money in it?), and that there will be anything returned to me after my involuntary contributions when, or if, I retire.

I am especially interested in your definition of “a little money” in the following quote (your #60): “the Social Security Trust fund is projected to last just fine form many years and need a little more money to keep it going as far as we can do projections.”

And you actually wonder why Medicare is in bad shape? (Hint: run by the same group of gangsters)
