What stinks to high heaven to me is that McCain doesn't want to be seen with Bush, but will take the money Bush raises for him since he can't raise his own!

Scott McClellan obviously jumped on the Hate Bush Bandwagon to line his pockets with seethe money. Pure and simple. Funny how his whole issue's being fanned by the media lately! Notice that his "Bush shuns Katrina Victims" (election impact intentioned) story just couldn't work without The Great Black Pander lurking in the background. Recently floods and tornadoes ravaged the midwest but those devastated mostly white communities haven't been squawking for any state visits. Just a few assists to patch their lives together – and they seldom cry "feds!" I'm heartened by a I-net buddy and white mother of two north of Hattiesburg relating to how after Katrina her local communities and those in Alabama pulled together and helped pull themselves out of the debris, and neither expected or requested any visits by government heads - just an extra shovel and a thumbs-up sign. The race-linked Katrina story continues to amuse me! It's as though the liberals and MSM swear black-loathing Bush's hands were on the weather controls to flush "all (the) dem darkies" out of N.O..

No, it's not President Bush who should be tarred and feathered for a "tardy" visits to a disaster zone - like that would've helped the crisis in motion, right? Instead it should be the laid-back low-esteemed black communities and criminally inept race-hustling black politicians directly involved which have chronically depended on government to get them out of life's jams and crises and raising our kids, which is why they're in the pathetic social and scholastic shape they're in all over.

What's as criminal is the MSM willfully keeping the positive occurances in Iraq.

It is amazing how great a percentage of comments on the McCain blog are conservatives, upset with his positions on illegal immigration and the global warming hoax. I guesstimate that around 90% are conservatives unhappy with McCain the faux Republican. The fact is that the Repuplican nominee hijacked the nomination with having so many open vote states moved up in the nomination time-schedule - thereby independent voters and Dems voting in the Republican primary had undue influence in the process.

Scott McClellen is a soured hack trying to make a buck by defaming his former friends. Like I said on another thread, he's a disgruntled ex-employee out to smear his former boss and co-workers for terminating him for his own incompetence!

"But McCain needs the money Bush can still harvest from loyal Republicans."

Isn't the real story here that McCain can't raise money from loyal Republicans?

Truth: [Bush]...had the highest [approval rating] until the MSM waged war with our very own POTUS (during a time of war) and made him out to be the devil.

I think the sheer number of war casualties, and the number of returning soldiers who've become vocal opponents of the war, have had a lot more to do with Americans' loss of faith in Bush than just the media's coverage.

And frankly, the press failed to do its job for much of Bush's time in office. If it weren't so disturbing, it would be funny to reread the fawning reports about the president from all of the news outlets from as recently as two years ago. It's a black eye on the news industry that it gave the president such a generous pass. I know we've all seen the excerpts from (former Press Secretary) Scott McClellan (no liberal, mind you)'s new book, in which he earned my respect for the very first time by admitting: "If anything, the national press corps was probably too deferential to the White House and to the administration...In this case, the 'liberal media' didn't live up to its reputation. If it had, the country would have been better served."

#32 … I wouldn't say that. The point covered by his cap is far larger; probably a height to diameter ratio of about 3 or 4 to 1.

DBNinKY,

I think the reason lgm dwells on the approval ratings is because it lets him pretend that everyone who disapproves of President Bush has the same reasons for that disapproval. I.e., if someone disapproves of Bush, then they must agree with lgm.

'Course, I disapprove of many of President Bush's actions too. But if you compare my reasons with lgm's you probably won't find a single point of agreement. Furthermore, that's probably true of most people here, and at least half of the people who disapprove of President Bush.

LGM: Why do you seem to always, always dwell on President Bush's approval ratings? Are you that afraid that once he leaves office and his record is viewed from an objective, BDS-free perspective, that history will determine him to have been one of the most effective and necessary presidents in our nation's history?

What's more, so what if President Bush may be ending his presidency on a low note? What good are high approval ratings anyway, especially at the end of one's presidency? After all, those "high" numbers of Clinton's you like to tout so much sure haven't helped Hillary!

lgm does have something of a point. (Color me shocked!)

Jesus' apostles were only a shadow of Jesus. They were not perfect as He was. They did not have all of His power. But they did follow Him, however imperfectly.

Likewise, McCain is a shadow of President Bush The Younger. Of course, considering that President Bush is apparently several generations removed from actual conservative principles, that's not saying much. McCain did copy some things from Bush; he just copied the wrong things.

It isn’t just the press that has BDS. He’s the least popular President in the history of opinion poll. He’s lower than Nixon, Truman, Carter, Bush Sr., Ford, Johnson,…

BWAAAHHHAAAAAHHHAAA

You nailed it without even knowing it idiot. Press has BDS. The MSM has bashed this POTUS like no other in history. People are too involved in American Idol to care about searching out the facts. Then, there are idiots like you who will turn a blind eye to the truth and dodge every question - just like all typical liberals.

Liberal: "Bush lied people died.

Truth: During the Clinton era, all freaking Dimocraps were screaming Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Liberal: "Bush killed 4000+ people for nothing.

Truth: During the Clinton era, thousands in the military lost their lives and we were never at war. Oh, Clinton struck Iraq first.

Liberal: Bush has lower ratings than any other POTUS.

Truth: He also had the highest until the MSM waged war with our very own POTUS (during a time of war) and made him out to be the devil who pulled finger nails form babies hands.

Do some fact checking lgm and come back and tell us how many people were water boarded and how many lives were saved from the information gained by pouring water in the nose of the very people who want to kill you (you were in NY and you still want to protect terrorists - which makes you the king of all idiots).

Liberal: Bush has lower ratings than any other POTUS.

Truth: He also had the highest until the MSM waged war with our very own POTUS (during a time of war) and made him out to be the devil who pulled finger nails form babies hands.

Do some fact checking lgm and come back and tell us how many people were water boarded and how many lives were saved from the information gained by pouring water in the nose of the very people who want to kill you (you were in NY and you still want to protect terrorists – which makes you the king of all idiots).
