Oh, crap, RR! I wasn’t even paying attention to what the link said, when I put my mouse over it!

Imagine my surprise when the site came up with that picture! ROFLMAO

Sorry Barry F., I should have gotten back to you sooner, I’ve had my hands full practicing those new techniques all afternoon. I don’t mean to burst your bubble but I’m not seeing much improvement. Also, you are definitely wrong, so so so wrong about the hybrid. In these days of 4 1/2 buck go juice, a Lexus LS Hybrid is, as Borat would say, “Has the p#*&y magnet”. But thank you anyway.

It’s also okay for teachers to vote fellow students in Kindergarten, an autistic child, out of class Survivor-style.

Did the school system do anything about it?

The teacher has been disciplined, however.

“Ms. Portillo has been reassigned outside of the classroom at the district offices until any further action may be determined,” St. Lucie County School District said in a statement.

Harsh, huh? I suspect she will be back in a classroom in the fall. Any takers?

…the state attorney’s office decided the matter did not meet criteria for emotional child abuse, so no criminal charges will be filed, Steele said.

Why not give the child and his family another slap in the face, while they’re at it.

Alex has not returned to school since the incident, and Barton (his mother) says he won’t be going back.

“He was incredibly upset,” Barton told the Sun-Sentinel. “The only friend he has ever made in his life was forced to do this.”

No pressure, kids. Either vote like the teacher wants you to do to berate a fellow classmate or suffer the consequences.

Ahhh. Wonderful person there shaping the minds of our youth, huh?

You may want to scale back to one hand at a time, grumbles. Therein could lie the rub. No pun intended. Well, maybe a little.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble but I’m not seeing much improvement.

Keep practicing, grumbles. I have faith in you. Your persistence may yet pay off. ;-)

Also, you are definitely wrong, so so so wrong about the hybrid. In these days of 4 1/2 buck go juice, a Lexus LS Hybrid is, as Borat would say, “Has the p#*&y magnet”.

Prius and your magnet descriptor both start with a “P” but that is pretty much where the similarities stop.

    But thank you anyway

Not a problem, grumbles. Like I said earlier, I’m just doin’ my part for “education”. ;-)

Sorry to run folks. I alluded to hybrids and my wife got turned on…NOT! But, it it time to retire from the computer for the night anyhow.

Actually, JA, the 5 year old child in question has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism.

Asperger’s Disorder is a milder variant of Autistic Disorder. Both Asperger’s Disorder and Autistic Disorder are in fact subgroups of a larger diagnostic category. This larger category is called either Autistic Spectrum Disorders, mostly in European countries, or Pervasive Developmental Disorders (”PDD”), in the United States. In Asperger’s Disorder, affected individuals are characterized by social isolation and eccentric behavior in childhood.

His offenses in her class included humming and eating his papers. While he may seem like he should have been acting the same as other children in his class and age group, his disorder places him in a markedly different category regarding behavior and how it will impact him.

By definition, those with AS have a normal IQ and many individuals (although not all), exhibit exceptional skill or talent in a specific area. Because of their high degree of functionality and their naiveté, those with AS are often viewed as eccentric or odd and can easily become victims of teasing and bullying.

Where would the teacher’s actions of encouraging other children in her Kindergarten class to vote him out fall – teaching, encouraging, bullying or something else? His ticks with humming and eating his paper, while not normal behavior for most is normal for him.

Yep. She wasn’t around too long.

The first question that happened to be asked of Joycelyn Elders at this United Nations World AIDS Day Conference: “…if masturbation might be taught as a way to prevent AIDS?” Joycelyn Elders replied: “masturbation is something that is a part of human sexuality, and is a part of something that perhaps should be taught.”

Joycelyn Elders was fired by President Clinton one week later
for “values contrary to the administration.”

Now, had she spoken of oral sex and a blue dress with the occassional cigar, Slick Willy wouldn’t have had a problem with it, I guess.

From the number of comments, this seems to be a hot button issue. But the kids are damaged less by learning how to “do it” than by “learning” that the Bible is literally true — that the universe was created about 6000 years ago, that all of modern biology is wrong, that Paul Bunyan (or the great flood) created the Grand Canyon.

Actually, the Grand Canyon was created by a great draining of the flooded parts of the U.S. after the non-SUV created, Al Gore ignored, global warming event in the distant past.

I am pretty sure it wasn’t Paul Bunyan, but believe what you wish.

How come we have all these car accidents by students with learner’s permits who have driver’s ed in these same schools, but manage to get into pretty terrific wrecks? Shouldn’t the outcome be the same as you predict for for sex ed (total, Sweden like perfection), or are we destined for lots of sexual “car crashes?”

Or perhaps the liberal establishment in Hollywood is responsible for undoing all the fine work of sex and driver’s ed, with movies like “Fast and Furious” for cars and just about any of their crap for sex, including television and the commercials therein?

Here’s a thought: maybe you liberals are responsible for the very problems on which you are trying to put a band aid.
