Greatest hits: All of Barack Obama’s men of bad faith; Update: Chicago archdiocese spanks Pfleger

By Michelle Malkin  •  May 30, 2008 07:50 AM

Scroll down for updates…

Here’s a handy little video guide to Barack Obama’s various men of bad faith–a quick blog cheat sheet with all the poison preachers in one place, each accompanied by a trademark demagogic YouTube clip, for easy reference and ranked in order of unhingedness. It’s getting crowded in the crazy uncle attic, sweetie.

4. Current Trinity pastor and N-word-spouting Ice Cube fan Otis “At war with the enemy” Moss, whom Obama refers to as a “wonderful young pastor:”

3. James Meeks.

“We don’t have slave masters. We got mayors. But they still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able, or to be educated.”

“You got some preachers that are house niggers. You got some elected officials that are house niggers. And rather than them trying to break this up, they gonna fight you to protect this white man.”

2. Embarrassment to the Catholic Church Michael “There’s a black man stealing my show!” Pfleger.

1. And the one and only Jeremiah “God damn America!” Wright, with thanks to the North Carolina GOP for defying the McCain camp and spreading the word:

See also Stanley Kurtz’s probe of Wright’s Trumpet.

How many more?

***

Update: Catholics rise up against Rev. Pfleger.

Update: The Chicago Archdiocese issues a statement condemning Pfleger from Cardinal Francis George:

“Racial issues are both political and moral and are also highly charged. Words can be differently interpreted, but Fr. Pfleger’s remarks about Senator Clinton are both partisan and amount to a personal attack. I regret that deeply.

I was talking to my cousin last night and she was telling me that her son told her last week that “holy men” like these clowns, as well as Swaggert, Baker, etc. are the reason he stopped going to church. No matter what your faith, I think this is a very sad statement.
On the flipside-I may be wrong about this but I thought politicing from the pulpit was grounds to lose your tax exempt status. I think they need to stick to soul saving and not politics. And before the Keyboard Warrior Brigade swings into action, this goes for all faiths so stuff it.

I agree. It takes a few bad “holy men” to ruin it for the rest of us. As a Roman Catholic, I am outraged and offended by Pfleger. The Vatican needs to defrock this priest. He is supporting a man that truly believes in abortion at any stage of the pregnancy. In addition, his sermon was very much un-Christ-like (if that is a word, sorry). However, I will rise above and I will pray for all these men.

    ~2 Corinthians 11:13-15
As the Bereans in Acts 17:11, I’ve “received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what [these "pastors"] said was true.” They are not. Their messages are completely counter to the concept of grace and, with their slander of whites, especially the Clintons (of whom I’m not fan, but seriously), against the commandment to “love your neighbor.” For these reasons, the title of “false teacher/prophet” fits them well. Why the Church, Catholic and Protestant alike, does not rebuke such men is beyond me. Actually, it’s because they are either 1) cowardly, or 2) afraid of losing their tax exempt status, which is the government’s leash on churches.

Not surprisingly it turns out that Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Pfleger - two radical clergy closely associated with Obama - have extensive ties to ACORN . Their views fit nicely within the ACORN anti-capitalist agenda that they have been pushing for years.

More evidence, if any were needed, that Obama’s past associations have defined him as a politician and that the more radicals that turn up in his background, the more we must question just what his beliefs truly are.

    What he said…

He regretted the choice of words, not that he said them. If he could have used different words to say the same thing he would.
Since we’re talking about family proverbs, my mom used to say if you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas. Obama has a string of fleas hanging off of him, and they’re all apostate preachers.

I just watched “Charlie Wilson’s War” again last night. It made me wonder about our current pool of politicians: do any of them have vision? Sure, they have their policy talking points, but do any of them have a forward-looking vision of boldness and greatness for America? As you pointed out, Obama clearly doesn’t have the skills of discernment/judgment to be president, and who knows what his vision is beyond his own selfish gains. But then again, how many politicians aren’t in this game for selfish gain?

Excuse me? What conservative is holding Swaggert up as a role model? Certainly not me nor anyone I know. Swaggert didnt have enough sense to “go and sin no more”. He could have been forgiven and restored but he preferred to wallow in the muck of the world. I know preachers who have messed up very badly. But some of the came to their senses, came before the church and asked for forgiveness, and they were forgiven and restored. Swaggert’s problem was his arrogant earthly pride.
    Here’s Swaggert’s and Obama’s preacher’s problem right here:

    Proverbs 6:16-19

16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:

17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

And those lying preachers, Swaggert included, have all of these traits.

Most likely, all of them (in certain neighborhoods). Remember, black churches are common politicking points for Dems.

The church even passes around collection plates to collect donations for the campaign. I find that disgusting. Collection plates are for donations to the church.

It reminds me of the story of Jesus confronting the money changers at the temple. He turned over their tables and said they had no place doing business at the church. (My parents took this story to heart. They wouldn’t even let my sister sell Girl Scout cookies at church.)

If Jesus saw the plates going around in church for political donations, he’d definitely speak out against it. Then the congregation would call him a racist. (or maybe a Jew?)

I would be inclined to agree; however, the root cause is so much more widespread than these so-called churches. This hatred is being spewed in universities across this nation as well. We need only to look as far as Delaware University: here and here.

I’ve posted on many occasion about a former friend who extolled that I needed to take an African American studies course… because apparently I failed to effectively portray that victim mentality. I hear you but to lay this at the feet of black churches is only scratching the surface. Liberals have a monopoly on keeping inner city blacks right where they are and unfortunately, they have embraced it as part of the “culture.”

If any other candidate had a steady procession of screaming bigots keep popping up from his past and present — e.g., “You mean another Klansman is supporting this guy?!?” — he’d have been toast long before now.

If Obama really believes his own propaganda about being someone who’s going to “change the tone” in Washington, he could start by foresaking the racist double-standard that’s the only thing keeping his campaign alive.

Suffice it to say that I’m not holding my breath.

Even Obama’s phrase “challenge the powers and principalities” is a particular favorite of black-liberation theologists.

This guy is a neo marxist freak that will be exposed further as the year goes on. My concern is that someone like him got as far as he did, albeit with treasonous media and political support. It is a tragedy that a large part of the voting population is buying this pig-in-a-poke. I suppose it is a testament to the effectiveness of the marxist/communist 60-year campaign to destabilize America. They did a great job in education, government, and the organs of media, and are on the cusp of conquest. Pity the “Republicans” don’t have a real conservative to oppose this latest marxist cult figure. Get ready for a Bataan Death March.

They got rid of the white farmer in Zimbabwe, he was a teeny tiny minority feeding the majority but that was too much to bear. I see no difference in many blacks whether they are in America or Africa same thing different continent. Look people the fact is that we, (whites) were taught that this kind of thinking is self destructive by our parents and ministers and its nothing new either. The other fact is if we had thought like this centuries ago we would not have had the success we have experienced we wouldn’t be where we are today. You think we would have had the success that we have had if we had gone around blaming others for all the problems we whites have encountered over the centuries? Look at Chicago the violence and crime is worse than in Al Capone’s day for cryin out loud, now look at Africa, nuff said. Obama praised the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his former pastor and long-time spiritual adviser, for being on the right side of the homosexual debate.

“There’s plenty of homophobia to go around, but you have a unique perspective into the African-American community,” Kerry Eleveld, news editor of The Advocate , a homosexual publication, said to Obama, during the interview.

“I don’t think it’s worse than in the white community,” Obama replied. “I think that the difference has to do with the fact that the African-American community is more churched and most African-American churches are still fairly traditional in their interpretations of Scripture.

“And so from the pulpit or in sermons you still hear homophobic attitudes expressed,” said Obama. “And since African-American ministers are often the most prominent figures in the African-American community, those attitudes get magnified or amplified a little bit more than in other communities.”
