Greatest hits: All of Barack Obama’s men of bad faith; Update: Chicago archdiocese spanks Pfleger

By Michelle Malkin  •  May 30, 2008 07:50 AM

Scroll down for updates…

Here’s a handy little video guide to Barack Obama’s various men of bad faith–a quick blog cheat sheet with all the poison preachers in one place, each accompanied by a trademark demagogic YouTube clip, for easy reference and ranked in order of unhingedness. It’s getting crowded in the crazy uncle attic, sweetie.

4. Current Trinity pastor and N-word-spouting Ice Cube fan Otis “At war with the enemy” Moss, whom Obama refers to as a “wonderful young pastor:”

3. James Meeks.

“We don’t have slave masters. We got mayors. But they still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able, or to be educated.”

“You got some preachers that are house niggers. You got some elected officials that are house niggers. And rather than them trying to break this up, they gonna fight you to protect this white man.”

2. Embarrassment to the Catholic Church Michael “There’s a black man stealing my show!” Pfleger.

1. And the one and only Jeremiah “God damn America!” Wright, with thanks to the North Carolina GOP for defying the McCain camp and spreading the word:

See also Stanley Kurtz’s probe of Wright’s Trumpet.

How many more?

***

Update: Catholics rise up against Rev. Pfleger.

Update: The Chicago Archdiocese issues a statement condemning Pfleger from Cardinal Francis George:

“Racial issues are both political and moral and are also highly charged. Words can be differently interpreted, but Fr. Pfleger’s remarks about Senator Clinton are both partisan and amount to a personal attack. I regret that deeply.

More.

If Barack Hussein Obama was an honest person, he would have condemed Pfleger right away, but he’s not honest. He can’t condem Pfleger from fear of aileniating the other other “Preachers” and the congregation, as well as the black people of America; therefore possibly losing a lot of their votes. B. Hussein can’t gamble on being nice to a white person. If he had any cahooners, he’d defended Hillary, but he’s too spinless to do that.

I like to look at the people in the pews of these videos to see just how many agree or show approval with what is being preached. Looks like quite a few doesn’t it?
Only a short time ago I was all focused on/worried about any hatred preached in madrassas! All the while, right here under our noses in America(!), there’s confirmed hate speech in our Christian churches! Churning out generations(?) of angry people. Explains a lot. Sad but enlightening…

They tailor their “sermons” or speeches to their audience who applauds and stands on their feet whenever they’re reminded that they are still victims of slavery. As long as this segment of society clings to that idea of victimhood, preachers or messengers will capitalized on it and continue to incite these group of people. Rev. Wright, Meeks, Sharpton, Jackson and etc.. are masters of this situation. Their personal assets are in millions, and not from earned income.

Meanwhile, Obama’s apologist and supporters are in cloud nine. It’s a political gambit, have Obama maintain ignorance of the speeches and profess some sort of apology, all for a free and unpaid political advertisement. Without shelling a penny, Obama is the focus of the public attention, and the MSM will highlight Obama’s “mea culpa” statement and make it a believable one.

    Angry Kneegrow,
Your comment serves only to notify readers that like most other Obama supporters, you’re not paying attention. If you were, you wouldn’t be an Obama supporter. Even Hillary would be a better choice, because at least she has some leadership experience, even if it is still weaker than McCain’s.

It’s also shows the weakness of your position to ignore arguments against your candidate as insignificant, when obviously the candidate himself doesn’t think so. I mean, these guys were listed as part of his campaign. He tacked an earmark into legislation for one of them! Any rational person would understand this makes his relationship to these folks more than simply a loose association. At the very least, it merits a closer look.

We don’t have any difficulty taking a close look at McCain’s imperfections. In fact, many of us actively dislike the man (although I’m not one of those). It’s telling that while we can objectively look at our candidate in this manner, folks like you have so much difficulty looking at yours.

It’s kind of hard to talk issues when it comes to Obama, because his platform exists largely of catch-phrases. There’s little of substance to really critique. There’s the age-old cry of the left “Change!”. . .but a rational person knows that change for its own sake is as often bad as it is good. Gas prices rising is change. Is that a good thing? No. Yet, we see few on the left who seems to understand that.

What happened to talking about taxes, or Iraq, or illegal immigration? Why aren’t we talking about solutions to our energy crisis?

Taxes? Let’s talk about the impact Obama’s ideas of universal health-care will have on taxes.

Illegal immigration? There’s little to talk about, since the Republican candidate’s views on the matter aren’t too different than Obama’s.

Energy crisis? Sure. Let’s talk. What, specifically, is Obama going to do to fix it? How much will it cost? What are the chances it will work? Obama has been very vague on these, and the media hands him only softball questions on the matter.

Iraq? Sure. Let’s talk. Let’s talk about how, since early in the campaign when Obama said he’d get them all out in short order after being elected, he has progressively backed off from that position, edging more towards the infinitely more pragmatic approach of the Republican candidate. . .

Wake me up when we start to debate the things that really matter.

THIS makes sense. I fear though, that if you do one day wake up, you’ll realize that you voted a president into office with no experience, whose only talent is to appease those to whom appeasement is nothing more than an invitation to further actions against our nation, who will enact a health care program that will cripple our economy while providing a degraded level of care.

If you think that’s the ‘right side’ of the argument, you really are asleep.

Sorry. I wasn’t looking for your “respect”. I wasn’t even trying to sway your position. I was just pointing out your obvious bedazzlement with the Obamessiah.

What happened to talking about taxes, or Iraq, or illegal immigration? Why aren’t we talking about solutions to our energy crisis?

I’ll tell you why: because you are on the wrong side of the argument.

You know, as circumstances would have it, we have been waiting to hear some serious discourse on taxes, Iraq and illegal immigration this presidential campaign season. Let’s see, Obama is proposing several “hope” and “change” initiatives, like socialized healthcare, that will balloon taxes. He is ready to surrender in Iraq. And, he is for rewarding illegal immigrants that have violated our nation’s sovereignty and laws to be here in the first place. Haven’t heard too much substance out of him on the “energy crisis”, except to get the government involved in it. I wouldn’t mind hearing him talk about domestic exploration for oil in contiguous 48 states, ANWAR and the Gulf or building more refineries to increase production capacity though. Do you have an inside track on anything like that from the Obamessiah’s mount?

So instead, to distract voters from the issues that really matter, we go on talking about church and what did Michelle write on her thesis 20 years ago. Or even better, what Barrack wrote on a kindergarten essay.

Actually, I am more concerned with his corrupt affiliations in the Chicago, Cook County and Springfield political machine(s). His significant relationships with hate-spewing pastors (let’s use that term loosely, shall we?) is yet another look into the man that is the Obamessiah for you. There is no hope for “change”, as it would appear.

I’m not too worried about the Kindergarten essay nor am I losing too much sleep over the wannabe first lady’s papers, at this point. I am concerned with the audacity of his more recent books and her lack of pride in her country, until The Glow came to the show.

Wake me up when we start to debate the things that really matter.

Have a nice nap, Rumplestiltskin. If you are waiting on the Obamessiah to come around to this, you might be out for a while and end up with bedsores. ;-)

Today’s topic is on Barack Hussein Obama’s close ties with raving and ranting preachers, his ties with terrorists who walk on the American Flag, and then brags how he got by with it, and his ties with a shady charactor who’s in a criminal trial. All of this reflects on the man’s charactor. The President has to be of good charactor, and in my humble opinion, his is weak to say the least. Several areas his charactor is weak in are his desire to weaken the country’s defensse, do a way with President Bush’s tax cuts; thereby raising your taxes, bankrupting the nation with socialized medicine, which will be disasterous for the people, and his desire to end the space program, leaving the country vulnerable to attacks from space by other countries.
The weakest part of his charactor is his quitting the war on terror by bringing the troops home by June, and asking the leader of Iran to sit down and talk as in “SUING FOR PEACE.” How grand that must make the terrorist feel. It’s no wonder Hamas wants him to win. May The Good Lord take a liking into us, if he does.

Wake me up when we start to debate the things that really matter.

    Angry Kneegrow,

Please wake up. I, and most conservatives, would be glad to debate the merits of increasing the size of the government, new spending programs without revenue sources, solving our energy problems with renewable energy, or how Obama is going to create 5 million green jobs, or even where this number 5 million comes from. However we get absolutely no specifics. Typical from his website:

Convert our Manufacturing Centers into Clean Technology Leaders: Obama will establish a federal investment program to help manufacturing centers modernize and Americans learn the new skills they need to produce green products.

What does this mean other than creating another costly government program? How would something like this work, and why would anybody think the government knows better how to modernize a factory than the owners and independent trade associations?

    Another:

Mandate Accurate Loan Disclosure: Obama will create a Homeowner Obligation Made Explicit (HOME) score, which will provide potential borrowers with a simplified, standardized borrower metric (similar to APR) for home mortgages. The HOME score will allow individuals to easily compare various mortgage products and understand the full cost of the loan.

Ever buy a home? There are plenty of mandatory disclosures that must be signed off on, and information on anything a borrower wants to know is readily availble on the internet. Anybody that doesn’t undersatnd what they are getting into is either lazy, does not care, illiterate, or all three. Another government program will not solve this problem.

I could go on as there are dozens of examples on his website. I have even tried to talk to Obama supporters about his policies but they can’t seem to come up with anything beside hope, change, and Bush rants. We all would welcome a debate (care to try with the above examples?) but it is impossible because feel-good vague ideas are completely vacuous and supporters unable to even define what they are. Please prove me wrong.

    love2rumba,

I wish it were that simple. As my husband always stated to me (when I was a cafeteria catholic) “The Catholic Church is a hierarchy, NOT a democracy”. Trust me there are steps involved that starts with the diocese then it goes up to the Vatican.

I think bombarding the Archdiocese lines with complaints, may give the Cardinal a clue. I left a heartfelt message on the voicemail as a Roman Catholic mother trying to raise two young children in the faith. Trust me, with the priest scandal, the shortage of GOOD nuns & priests, closing of GOOD Catholic schools has really challenged me in my faith. But I digress and continue to pray for sanity and for the Church.

This is why LIBTARDS gravitate to professions that are not required to produce any tangible result or reach any goal.

I agree, he’s gonna have to define his platform and stance on issues more clearly as the campaign goes along. But you have to admit – being vague actually helped him. Take that gas holiday nonsense. While McCain and HillBilly proposed the gas tax holiday, all BO did was challenge it and say it was a bad idea.

But, you never heard him say what *his* plan was. And the American public ate it up, realized Hillary and McCain were pandering, and never questioned Obama about his strategy.

    Genius? Perhaps.

The problem with Father Pfleger’s racist and sexist rant about Hillary’s tears and whiteness was not that he once had some tenuous relationship with Barack Obama and therefore is the candidate’s eternal responsibility. Obama obviously is not responsible for all the dubious people that he has come across in the world of Chicago activism.

What a pantload! These relationships of Obama’s are but anything “tenuous.” And, yes, Obama’s long and close relationship with outspoken race baiters and supporters of Louis Farrakhan is a HUGE problem.

“Eternal problem,” you say, Hanson? What planet are you on, professor? Pflager has barely gotten back home from making the remarks that occasioned your commentary here. This is not, sir, from the eternal by-and-by.

You have twisted the problem that Obama has with these people out of all recognition so that you can enlighten us with your own idiosyncratic reframing of the situation. A church is not just a pastor. It doesn’t consist solely of Sunday Morning sermons. A church is a fellowship, a community, a family. And usually that community becomes and remains a community because of a shared set of values.

Now I don’t know *wink* if Obama ever saw Wright or Pfleger spew their hatered, but every time we see one of these video clips the congregation is lapping it up, they’re loving it, they’re clapping and shouting, they’re cheering on the hatered and the anger. And these are people that Obama chose to associate with, to have teach his kid’s Sunday School, to go to potlucks with (I assume he brought the arugula), to sit next to in church. This is the family that he chose to be a part of. I’m sure that there are many other black churches in Chicago that he could have chosen from, but he picked this one.

Like I said, I don’t know if Obama ever saw these sermons, but the people whom he chose to call “brother” and “sister” most assuredly did, and they not only agreed, they loved it.

Why do the blacks hate us?

Man, what a great question. I wonder if any of it is tied to Katrina. That became such a black vs white issue with many blacks feeling like they were abandoned. I wonder if the resentment grew from there. It seems worse than it has been in a long time. Maybe it has always been this way and we didn’t see it until Obama’s relationship with Wright brought it into the spotlight. Makes me sad.
