Remember, though, that for every long-term friend, mentor, advisor or associate who suddenly becomes an expendable embarrassment to Senator Hopenchange, there’s a compliant media eager to sweep under the rug just why it was that person got jettisoned.

Between now and November, watch for the Obama-worshipers in the press to replay how they tried to drag Kerry across the finish line in 2004 by simply declaring that the Swift Vets’ recollections about Kerry had been “discredited” — without even bothering to investigate.

It’ll work for the scores of millions of true believers, which is why no matter what is revealed about the man, the possibility of him introducing us to Jimmy Carter’s second term and George McGovern’s first will remain alarmingly real.

Judging from the Obama team of PR “experts” (Atlas Shrugs has the list) who are all busy grooming and manipulating Barack so he comes out palatable while muzzling Michelle (she is seen but not heard lately), we shall be bombarded with more “hope” ads.

The oiled and sleeked Obama will come out more slippery than an eel in answering probing questions from the public. The MSM will not tie him to his past. They are all blinded by the “shine” of the future.
