So the Dems are pretty sure about this Obama thing, it looks like.
But I’m thinking I’ve heard this song before.
Flip-flopping anti-war Ivy-league snob with a lovable (not) wife, who wants to appease Iran (or does he now?), and who has tight, deep connections to the anti-American radicals sixties and seventies?

Post by See-Dubya. The song is by Shirley Bassey, who did the early Bond title songs, backed/mixed by the British techno band the Propellerheads. Good beat, good conservative message, and if you like it you can buy the whole track from Amazon for eighty-nine cents here.

I just don’t think McCain is capable of capitalizing on the opportunities he will have to set Obama out for who he really is.
I watched McCain’s speech last night from Louisiana. I think it was an understatement, when the pundits said he is not an orator. They seemed to think he will do better in debates against Obama. I’m not sure how they are figuring that. But, maybe their right.

As a wanna-be-pro video editor, I liked the video. Timing was good, song choice was spot-on, but I couldn’t hear some of the quotes. Seeing the rapper’s mouth in slo-mo sync with Obama’s “yes we can” would’ve been sweet, too. I did like the Obama Girl’s mouth matching the song lyrics. I know there’s only so much you can do with Movie Maker. Never used it myself.
As a whole, thumbs up. Excuse my nitpicking. I may be inspired to make my own video.
McCain will try and prove he is the better Democrat.
There is so much material with Obama and Kerry that a second video is needed. First up is the priceless video of John Kerry asking the counterguy at Pat’s Steak House if they can put provalone on his phillycheesesteak. You can’t make this stuff up! I believe that Cspan video was following Kerry that day so the video is probably still available. Juxtapose that with Obama campaigning in Iowa when he tells the guy “Have you seen the price of arugula at The Whole Foods?”. The poor guy looks dumbfounded. They don’t even have Whole Foods in Iowa for gosh sakes.
This would be a short video but worth it weight in gold.
BTW,Ed Rendell was on with H&C on Fox two weeks ago and when Hannity asked him about Kerry and the Philly cheesesteak, Mayor Rendell could not stop laughing!

At the expense of appearing dumb,what is Arugula? Normally I don’t watch Barack Hussein Obama’s videos, but I watched this one, and sure wish McCain would use something like it, because it was top dead center, and would really be a great weapon against B. Hussein.

It’s a vegetable, kind of like spinach. It’s actually pretty good, but Obama seems a little too fond of it and assumes everybody is concerned about the price of arugula at Whole Foods. Even when there isn’t a Whole Foods in the state.

A cute video, but let’s remember for all the ineptness of Kerry’s campaign in 2004, he almost won. Indeed, if he hadn’t done that stupid windsurfing stunt (which turned off a lot of people), he might well have won. 2004 should have been a serious wake-up call for Republicans, that they were heading for big trouble, but of course they ignored the warnings and now look at them. Yeah, Kerry was a joke, but the country keeps moving to the left (am I the only one who notices this?), and one thing about Obama is that he inspires people in a way that Kerry never could have. McCain’s “Bush on Steroids” routine is not going to fly. I think even he knows that. The election is all but over.
Another way to look at this is via Nixon’s Law (h/t to M. Steyn): a Republican cannot win with just the base and cannot win without the base. Bush ignored the base; McCain has blown of the base in perhaps the most spectacular display of contempt in American political history. So will Nixon’s Law be repealed in 2008?
Don’t. Count. On. It.
