Unfortunately, there is one flaw with your argument: it only applies to non Muslims. Muslims clearly and absolutely believe there is a black and white division, them against us, believer vs. infidel. No gray areas here. Well, maybe the lower class dhimmis, but that sucks too.

When you get Islamists and Islamofascists to believe in gray areas, tolerant and accepting of non Muslims, give us a call.

Why on earth would you use the word “target?”

If someone claims (rightly or wrongly) that another religion is receiving unfair preference by a government, then you consider this to be TARGETING a religion?????

Very poor word choice, sausage. I think you should clarify what you meant.

OK..I really had an internal debate as to responding to this thread….the prevalent thought seems to be that “we are better because we are right thinking”

Seems to me like an institutional effort to put the same citizens of a country against each other so that the furor creates deadlock and nullifies any creative debate.

Frankly?….if any state can instigate devisiveness among it’s own citizens it avoids scrutiny as to the real world effects of it’s policies…

It’s the old “bait and switch”…

A significant theme in this thread is the absolute decadence of the English church. Any institution of which Prince “religion of global warming” Charles is the head is not likely to garner many converts.

Maybe the government should finally cut the Church loose after 450 years and force competition.

Yeah – being a language-linguistics buff I was aware of that.

But thanks to America at least we are spared from hearing them trying to concoct silly rhymes in Low German!

Even then, there are still many a fine and brave Tommys left in this world. (Or perhaps that should be “right in the world.”) Though their heroic stances against such things as the ongoing onslaught of Sharia in the UK is hated by some of their fellow subjects.

Apparantly, Sausage wasn’t willing to tell us the meaning of the term “Septics”.

I have been hearing it for a few years now. First from the host of the highest rated show in Britain, “Top Gear” and then regularly from Brits and on BBC. “Septic” is currently the way that Brits refer to Americans in Cockney Rhyming Slang..

You see, “Septic” goes with “Tank” which rhymes with “Yank” and they all think it’s just soooooo damn funny.

The thing that is really funny is that we don’t really care.
