seige, I mean Goldwater Knight, would you please provide a public service and let everyone know the location of your bridge so we can take an alternative route. Thanks.

That would be difficult for I am responsible for 5 counties in New York State. Why not just avoid the whole state daknine?

Wartip, I know your troubles were described as hardware related but have you tried a good Linux OS instead of MS Windows? I highly recommend either Ubuntu or Mint (a flavor of Ubuntu and my preference). I started out with a dual-booting machine on an existing XP platform but have now gone strictly Linux and do not miss MS. You might like to try it.

Yeah, I normally run two PCs. One runs XP for the three programs I still need. One runs PCLinux MiniMe now. I used to run Linspire but the MiniMe lets me customize more. The problems however, are the POS computers and the electrical here. Two 110 hot legs, no neutral and no ground make the current something less than perfect. I was running two power supplies and a UPS to even it out but alas … they burned up too :( What I would give for my old systems back … the ones I built but one was destroyed in a series of storms here and one was destroyed by a “tech” who could not tell the difference between 110 and 220 (while I was gone I will add)

Jose … I hope you will forgive me … Vegas? Yuk, more like Southern Cali to me. I lived out in the middle of the desert with neighbors about five miles away. I know many people love it there but as far as I am concerned, you can have it LOL Last time I was there I spent 7 weeks living in a hotel while I built their networks and networked all their slots. I was not even allowed to have a coffee pot in my room.

As for Jerry Rivers? Is there anything about the “man” that is commendable or even likable?

Dennis, if you have the evidence on tape … I wonder if you would be willing to press charges. I doubt it would go anywhere as I am sure that you “provoked” them and their physical attack was (liberally) justified somehow. Still, if we could bring this hypocrisy more into the awareness of the general populace, maybe it would do some good. Doubtful, but it sure seems like it would be worth a try.

In the meantime, my life in the Philippines to become politically apathetic continues to fail miserably. However, my overly Conservative wife and I killed a chicken, dressed it, cooked it and are now sitting down to enjoy the fruits of our labor with an ice cold beer. The weather is beautiful, the food is great and Hillary Clinton’s cackle is nowhere to be heard around these parts.

Hey everything is on the tape I mean everything.

Watch the vid. They called the police on me almost an hour after they assaulted me, and the cops told me to basically “watch it” thank you very much.

Welcome to the State Capital where the City council approved of the display.

I was a bad boy for placing “Old Glory” in a pubic Place on Memorial Day folks. That’s my only crime.

Watch it and you tell me.

    Hey Guys,

My name is Dennis. Just a guy from Elk Grove CA .

On Memorial day last week here in Sacramento CA, my Dad (a WWII and Korea war vet), my two small boys (7 and 10) and I (Viet Nam combat vet) placed 232 American flags (1 flag for every year we’ve been a republic) around the “Anti Iraq War” protesting so called “Peace Display” at the foot of the State Capital.

They placed 120,000 small white flags depicting all the Iraqi civilians that were killed because of the war, but not one American flag in sight. Oh, as an after thought they put down 4000 red flags for our fallen heros too. (My words not theirs).

They politicized our national holiday for their own agenda.

    On Memorial Day.

The “Peaceniks” there didn’t like what we did, as you can imagine, and it showed on the video tape that I recorded of their antics over the course of the morning, including me getting “smacked” in the head by their main “Spokes-mouth for Peace”.

I spent all last week piecing the project together and finally uploaded it to youTube a few nights ago.

I had to break it down to 5 Parts to be able to get it all excepted for the “tube”.

It’s rather long I’m afraid (5 ten minute segments). However, I wanted to tell our families story from beginning to end, and not just make it a series of “sound bites” or have our story “taken out of content” or misunderstood in any way.

You might want to check it out. Go to YouTube and do a search under the key name “Memorial Day Adventure” or “GooDDaDDy101” or this link:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKyMv-myhFs

I guarantee you’ll find it worth you while.
Feel free to do with it as you will. It’s on me. Enjoy.

    Thanks.
    Your Friend

    Dennis

P.S. I also burned a high quality, full version of the day (not broke down into 5 segments) on DVD that is available if you’re interested.

Boy what a day! My kids and husband allowed me to sleep in. Then Gymboree had a sale, so it was off to get the kids some summer clothes because it feels like late July here in Ohio! It is hot and muggy here.
Then my girlfriend and I went to see some mansions which some were down right gorgeous and some were “what the hell were they thinking?” Now it is time for me to grab a nice cold beer and chill.

I hope everyone had a good day :)

I just got in from seeing Spamalot on Broadway tonight. In it, there is some dialog where a current event is mentioned. The character started singing the tune “Tomorrow” from Annie but used these words… “Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I hope the Clintons just fade away!” You should have heard the ovation from the audience. My, the mighty have fallen! LOL

    Thank you my friend.

My eyes started to tear-up in relief as I read your kind and supportive words.

(In the last couple of days I’ve been a little down because I’d hoped that the word of the “event” and how dishonorable the “lefty’s for peace” would have spread a little faster out there.)

I just showed your posting to my little guys and told them that if what we’d done touched one person, then it wasn’t for nothing.

They smiled and nodded their heads at me in approval.

    That meant everything to me.

    Dennis

P.S. If you’re interested, on Monday at 12 noon (California time) a local conservative talk radio show is going to have a live interview with me about the goings on at the Capital.

You can pick it up at http://www.KTKZ.com and click the listen now button.

Well the circus is over….I don’t know what to do, or where to go. Gardening is not an option because living in the Socialist town of Seattle means RAIN, always RAIN….it’s June for God’s sake! Housekeeping is not an issue, because I’ve spent the last eight months of rain and cold, listening to the “circus” while cleaning.
The writers strike put the kabosh on the good shows and I found I didn’t really miss the damn stuff(except for “House”). But hey, I’ve got all three
seasons on DVD and went through all of them twice. Rumblings of an actors strike, so that may be the death knell for TV. I think a lot of folks found out they didn’t really need the tube.
I always had a backup entertainment of the Laura Ingraham show, but something is going on there and she’s not on.
No chance of going camping outside of the rain cloud because of gas prices.
So, I’m here talking to you all. Hope the severe weather didn’t impact your lives. God bless those who are suffering through it.
