[...] People like Sully would prefer to pretend dirty work never gets done, and to avert their eyes to reports that Obama may even secretly allow enhanced interrogation tactics in a classified annex to the Army Field Manual. Obama, however, is primarily interested in maintaining the political viability of Obama, which would be nil if the US suffered another attack. Consequently, Obama will engage in the Kabuki theater of very publicly declaring that Santiago is not to be touched, while issuing different orders afterward. In return, Sully will twist himself into whatever position necessary to justify his mancrush on the Lightworker.
atheling, save the mock intellectualism...you're not that bright. I can't think of too many living human beings who have more intellectual horsepower than Hitch. Your lame little analogy fails.

BTW, how sad is it that you adhere to whatever values your "moral compass" requires based on a fear of eternal damnation and the reward of a trip to heaven. How arrogant to imply that only a Christian can be a moral person. I live my life by a code based on honor, integrity and loyalty which resulted from hard wired evolution and the values my parents instilled in me. Keep in mind that even the most brilliant among us are not immune to fear, ignorance and superstition. Some choose to deal with that fact by turning to organized religion. If that's your choice, fine. Just keep it out of public policy and out of my face.

I guess scooter has a short memory. Must be that kool aid he drinks. GWB did manage to govern one of the largest states of the union.

And Obama did... what?

Come to think of it, I find it rather amusing that after I list Aquinas, Augustine, Pascal, et al, you resort to invoking Hitchens???

Is that the best you can do? How lame. That's like my invoking Beethoven and you reply with The New Kids on the Block.

atheling, save your predictable and unoriginal drivel. Same tired lame points made over and over again by your ilk. I’ll refer you to “Religion Poisons Everything” by Christopher Hitchens. He covers it all there. Your arrogance and hubris is astounding.

HA! The only "astounding" thing I see is your absolute blindness. Typical, you would invoke that rabid drunk, Hitchens, (whose more temperate brother Peter has well critiqued his sibling's shortsightedness).

If there is any "arrogance and hubris", dakine, it's yours. But then why am I conversing with someone whose knowledge of history and culture is limited to the past 50 years? I dare you to analyze and respond to Thomas Aquinas' 5 Proofs for the Existence of God, if your head doesn't explode from it first.
