Okay, he didn’t actually say it that way this time. Yet, anyway. But it’s a new verse of the same old song as James Johnson, the Fannie Mae exec who got the sweetheart loans from a shady subprime lender Barack Obama had railed against on the campaign trail, has become a political liability.
So now he’s off of Barry O’s vice-presidential search team, and he’s occupying a new position:

Johnson, 64, said that he had done nothing wrong, saying “blatantly false statements and misrepresentations” had been written about him.
“Jim did not want to distract in any way from the very important task of gathering information about my vice presidential nominee, so he has made a decision to step aside that I accept,” Obama said in an e-mailed statement.
Question–so if James Johnson didn’t really “work” for Obama, can he resign from a job he never had?
EARLIER TODAY: Barack Obama held a roundtable on “predatory lending”. As Michelle might say, snort. Here’s his speech; this line jumped out at me:
This has to stop. We cannot let the rules of the game continue to be rigged against ordinary Americans. We need a President who will look out for the interests of hardworking families, not just their big campaign donors and corporate allies.
Like Countrywide Lending, you mean?

bloghooligan–it’s actually a powerpoint. I’ve obviously never figured out Photoshop or GIMP, and the Snagit program I do most of my images with doesn’t put text on an angle.
I think it gets the point across, though.
Actually, it doesn’t matter a twit what is uncovered/vetted about those close to Obama. His supportors are glassy eyed zealots, shaking heads in agreement with everything he says, and base their support of him on the empty promises of two words. HOPE. CHANGE. The same folks that criticized the term, “War on Terror.” Irony at it’s finest.

I found it interesting that when Hussein called a journalist “sweetie,” he was called on it, apologized (in typical Hussein fashion) and it was never mentioned on this blog. No one mentioned it. I saw him refer to this woman as “sweetie” and I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
How about a president who knows how to run a country and let our representatives look out for us!

See-dubya’s missing the point about Johnson. As far as I can see there’s nothing wrong with getting a great deal on a loan. The problem is Obama lambasting CEO pay when the guy he asked to vet his VP candidates made $21 million in one year from Fannie Mae.
But the best part was watching Sen. Obama sputter and bumble through that press conference yesterday. Get this guy away from his set speech and HE’S a President Bush third term.

Obama the Wise selected Jim Johnson. Yet it was Johnson who steered John Kerry to select John Edwards in 2004. Bob Shrum said Kerry “wished he’d never picked Edwards, that he should have gone with his gut.” Shrum also said Kerry was planning to make Johnson “treasury secretary or White House chief of staff in a Kerry administration.”
With this in Johnson’s past, Obama said Johnson was a volunteer who was not looking for a job. Sure. I believe it. I also believe Kerry advised Obama on his “throw everyone under the bus” strategy. Johnson saw Kerry reading a road map with Obama at the wheel and he headed for the door. And he blew a kiss as he stepped out–how sweet.

The bus should definitely be pink or at least have a rainbow on it to denote that “hope” and “change” will go on without the Jim Johnson’s of the Obummer campaign no longer doing any kind of material damage to the Messiah.

almost barfed when I read about what BO said about those “tricky” credit card companies in that speech- I guess he loves that victimhood….Here is a solution for those people that don’t know what to do with those pesky credit care applications (and when has one been 30 pages?) Tear THEM up- yes thats all you poor victims have to do- Just Tear them up in little strips…problem solved. I must tear up two or three a week…Use your brain poor victims. I am losing my mind and patience with this “everyone a victim” garbage….
