Well, Scooter, when you speak out of hate, what comes out of your mouth? Hate.

As a military spouse, I'm glad Saddam Hussein is gone. I'm glad Pres. Bush was around to comfort the nation during 9/11. I'm glad that he cared enough about taxpayers that he cut our taxes for a couple of years.

I don't blame him too much for Katrina. Hate-tinged liberals like yourself, Scooter, think government can solve everything. It can't.

I don't appreciate Pres. Bush's take on illegal immigration and doing nothing about it. I don't like, as another poster has said, that he did nothing about energy independence. I don't like that he allowed out of control spending.

You can have Clinton and his much "vaunted" legacy. It was people like Clinton that made sure the sub-prime fiasco happened due to letting just about anybody have credit and buy a house on such.

Nope, I know you hate Pres. Bush. It's central to many of your posts. You can't see beyond it. I know Pres. Bush was an imperfect president but a "failure?" Just like I know that you will never admit that Clinton was "imperfect" and that Obummer is far from the perfect presidential candidate.

What I find shameful is the damage that liberals have done with a Republican president in office. That's what I can't stand. Liberals have a lot to answer for but will never take responsibility for their actions as long as adherents like yourself make excuses for them and can't work with the other side.

On June 11th, 2008 at 3:17 pm, CO2 Producer said: I’ve stuck by President Bush for almost eight years now, though I may disagree with many choices he’s made. When I voted in 2000, I thought the two choices we had were bad, so I based my vote solely on one issue: national security. I’m still glad I did. Crazy, right?

I am disappointed that President Bush has gone looney on virtually everything except Iraq and terrorism. Even so, I am thankful that he, and not the Dems has been in charge for the past two terms.
Regrettably, McCains position on Iraq is just about his only redeeming virtue but, inexplicably, he is our bestchoice

Oh my God would I love to see that.

When solicited by them for financial support, I kindly reply to them in their conveniently post-paid envelope to let them know the reason for my non-support.

If all Republicans did the same, the RNC might "get it" and re-align to conservatism and effective leadership. Or else it will just whither away from wilfull ignorance and stupidity.

The next year or two will determine if it really is the time for a complete party replacement.

Meanwhile I send my financial support directly to those candidates who's policies I can agree with. Not through a disfuctional and impotent surrogate.

I've stuck by President Bush for almost eight years now, though I may disagree with many choices he's made. When I voted in 2000, I thought the two choices we had were bad, so I based my vote solely on one issue: national security. I'm still glad I did. Crazy, right?

Don't forget the other choices we had in 2000 and 2004.

Looks like I'll be basing my vote for the same reason this year. I wish I had more reasons, but I don't. However, I realistically only have two choices, unless some miracle independent candidate suddenly appears.

I expect that history won't be kind to Bush (at least for the next fifty years), especially if our next President screws up what Bush has been trying to fix in Iraq. Bush has had the toughest presidency since WWII, but he hasn't had a nervous breakdown. How would anyone else have handled it? None of us can say, since we haven't been in his shoes. Make all the jokes and snide remarks you want, but imagine, seriously imagine, what it's like to have the weight of the world on your shoulders, hearing day after day after day that you're viciously hated by perhaps billions of people, when you know that only three of every ten citizens in your own country support you, and you still continue to lead the country that hates you, trying to keep its best interests at heart, knowing the things that we don't.

And don't try to say that we know everything that he knows. He's privy to things that most Americans have no clue. He's the pariah of the decade, and I don't think it's totally justified. I guess my view qualifies me as one, too.

That being said, his immigration policy sucks, and it's too bad he's being apologetic. Seven and a half years are starting to take its toll. Just a few months to go, President Bush. Hang in there.

I don't think it's in them to fight liberals. RNC actually stands for Really Not Conservative.

I, for one, will miss George W. Bush…. the last Christian President this country will ever have.

I'm not sure why him being, or not being, a christian really makes a difference in his character.
