Folks, it’s time to STOP electing incumbents (ALL incumbents). It’s also time for term limits, which, if you notice, NO current member of Congress is for – so, what does that tell you?
I refuse to vote for ANY incumbent and am working in my local area for term limits on the ballot!! Nationalizing the oil industry is just another nail in our coffin if we don’t say and do something.

Then says “Then we could control” should that stay consistent with “The People” from the first line?

No actually the second line was really the correct answer “we” code for politicians lining their pockets!

I am in awe at the audacity of these people to create a People’s State where they can pick and choose where the government can nationalize an industry “for the good of the people”. (and Michelle’s children, of course)

I would like to think the American People would recognize and reject this. If not, I will be expecting the Republicans to challenge them. If not, I will take it upon myself.

Will someone please show me which program that the government is running so well that they feel it’s possible to relpicate it else where? (chirps) Anyone besides the crickets?

It would be one thing if the govt’ could at least point to a well run program as an example of their ability to do things, but no such thing exists. Yet somehow, where supposed to beleive that they’ll get this one right?

On the other hand just try to take away their MTV or American Idol. That would get them upset!

Coming late to the party, but after just reading the statements made, one thing stuck in my mind….

I’ve heard and uttered the phrase ‘people of the United States’, or some variation of it, many times in my life…

This was the first time, reading this politician’s words, that the phrase “People of the United States” ( given the context of his words ), struck a similarity in my mind with “People of the Soviet Union”…

Perhaps my subconscious is more acutely aware of the dangers than I give it credit for…..
