Louis Farrakhan’s newspaper defends poor Michelle Obama

In the same edition of Final Call, there’s a gushing editorial praising Mr. O:
Sen. Barack Obama has already made history by winning enough pledged delegates and commitments from super delegates to capture the Democratic Party nomination and enjoys the possibility of becoming the first Black man to serve as president of the United States.
His success engenders a sense of pride among Blacks in America and excitement throughout the world as a nation that touts itself as a great democracy provides another sign of progress. In a country where Africans were once enslaved and their children denied the right to vote, the son of an African father may soon be elected leader of the free world.
Mr. Obama has exhibited a demeanor and espoused a message that has appealed to millions of Americans and been applauded around the globe as people hunger for change and an end to the arrogance and warmongering of President George W. Bush.
The United States needs to change, needs a new day in politics and a departure from the politics of personal destruction, partisanship and roughshod imperialism. The country faces serious economic, social and spiritual challenges and visionary leadership is required to guide America through these troubled times. As the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan noted, it is not enough to solely cling to “experience” as the saving grace of this nation because America faces times she has never faced before.
The next American president, whoever that may be, should be a person of vision and courage.
In the Bible and the Holy Qur’an, pharaoh had troubling dreams and called on Joseph to interpret his visions and provide sound advice about how to conduct the affairs of the nation. Americans are worried about where the country is headed and wonder if the good days are long gone. Americans are so worried that, like pharaoh, many are willing to look in unlikely places for solutions to problems.
Missing from Farrakhan’s rag? Any mention about the Obama camp’s barring of those two, hijab-wearing Muslim Obama supporters. Debbie Schlussel has background on the aggrieved women.

Farrakhan and the other race hustlers have a vested interest in seeing Obama lose.
Hard to claim to be the victim of oppression by ‘the man’, when the most powerful man in the country is (half) Black.
They could maybe survive a Michael Steele type conservative, by calling him an ‘Uncle Tom’, or the other favored phrase for Americans of African descent who wonder off the reservation of perpetual victimhood, ‘house n****r’, but Obama is from their camp.
How can they blame everything on racism if one of their own winds up running the country.
Farrakhan knows he is electoral poison, as does Reverend Wright, look for more attempts by them to link themselves with Obama in the public eye.
I know that is one school of thought, but there could also be another that says now is the time to forward their radical agenda.
The right guy, no record to scrutinize, no legislative trail.
This guy got here in this moment with someones help.

First mistake. A democracy has never resulted in anything other than national suicide. The USA is a Constitutional Republic. Read up on the history of democracies and you will see why our founding fathers decried this as a very bad idea to push on our nation.
There is just so much wrong here. Others have already pointed out some of the problems with this.
That is actually a very valid point. It will be interesting to see what happens.
I just wonder if these democrats crying out for nationalizing the economy and the oil companies have any historical concept of where this has led other nations in the past or if they really are so disillusioned that they really do not see the hazards of their actions.
Or could it be that they actually and really do want a socialist society and are not even bothering to hide that fact any more? A frightening vision indeed!

The audacity of this woman never ceases to amaze me. She was complaining about her student loans, I have two brothers who are attorneys that are also still paying on their loans but they aren’t hawking some book like her hubby to help pay them off. She’s complaining about ballet and piano lessons, if it’s too expensive, cut one of them out like the rest of us have to do. I’m sorry I can’t feel too bad for a woman who lives in an Hyde Park Mansion while the rest of us live in regular homes.
I realize she admitted she had better opportunities here than in any other country on the Spew yesterday, but I don’t think she really believes it. She’s “owed” something by someone but it sure isn’t me or anyone else.

While this editorial is more of the same mindless Obama worship we have seen so many times before, along with the obligatory jab at George Bush, I have to say it is more reasonable and less venomous than a typical New York Times editorial. Based on this one example I would say the NYT is more radical and hate filled than Farrakhan.
