Well, I’m glad something I wrote could turn someone’s heart to the Lord, even if Michelle is getting the credit. When I saw that Kim Jong Il had endorsed Obama, I wrote this:
Take me now, Lord. My life as a blogger is complete.

So let’s all help Michelle’s request along and say a little prayer to the Lord. Unfortunately, these prayers to the Lord don’t always work effectively, even amongst the top televangelists such as Oral Roberts back in the 1980’s…
…But I have HOPE for Michelle’s plea.
Michelle didn’t actually write that, but whatever. Once you’re done asking your Creator for Michelle’s destruction, sweetheart, do me a favor and mention Mohsen Namvar. He could use a hand right now.
P.S. I was wondering how the Left would react to Kim Jong Il’s endorsement of their guy. This dude thinks it’s “the sanest thing that Kim Jong Il has done recently”. I agree; it’s quite rational from Kim’s point of view.

This reminds me of a picture that Rumsfield used to have in his office. It was of the Korean peninsula. It was a night shot from a satellite. There were FEW lights in north korea, just where their main city was and a couple of minor cities. The rest of the country was pitch black, no lights.
The Southern part of Korea was lit up like a christmas tree, lights throughout the entire geographical reason. He commented to whoever was interviewing him that this was one of the reasons it felt good to do his job, to defend people so they could live free and have the basics of life, like ELECTRICITY available 24/7. How can the LEFT support such horrible living conditions in North Korea where they don’t even have electricity, or enough food to eat? I am always astonished at their idiocy.

even if this was michelle ‘praying to the Lord, as now her life as a blogger was complete’, she wasn’t asking for death or to pass forward to the arms of Christ. how in their wildest imaginations did they think this phrase was calling for death? it could mean that now the fullness of this aspect of her life (being a blogger) feels complete; and for her to now move forward with something new. i guess their evil twisted minds do not work in any other way towards a conservative. they best hope that kharma does not come back to bite them in the but for their hateful prayer(s).

Of course, no one here wishes for anyone’s death (right, y’all?). God permits all of us to live in hopes that we turn from serving ourselves to serving Him, and then demonstrated by serving other human beings (by faith, in His strength). To wish death on someone (am not talking about something thought or said in anger – just raw emotion) is ultimately made from a lack of faith that God is in control – and a fundamental blindness to how desparate we should all be to God’s mercy. We all struggle with this, including me. Therefore, I wish a long and fulfilling life to you and others on this blog. I even prayed for Ted Kennedy and sent him a get-well email. After all, God’s kindness is meant to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4).

Les, I think the “rapier wit” sort of comments are usually few (unfortunately, ad hominem remarks and name calling are becoming more common), so they stand out. The two times that I have looked at the Daily Kos, I see mostly that sort of posting. At least here most postings keep to the point of the thread.
To get back on the main topic, I think it is our job to out-pray the Kos folks.

That being said, it should not make news what commenter’s from a blog say as Ive seen many a looney comment praying for the death of Californinas via nuclear attack, natural disaster, etc from several posters here.
Why does DailyKos want us to pray for Michelle Obama (MO) to die? Just because MO thinks people with black skin are better than those with other skin color, that white Americans are devils and racists, that white Americans are all former slave owners, all murderers for lynching black Americans and conducting sick “medical” experiments on black Americans? There is no legal penalty for MO let alone a death penalty for her remarks and behavior. MO is just a poorly educated, paranoid, graceless person, who raises her children to hate white people except dark skinned mulattos like her husband BO. I would like to hear her take on: whether mulattos have any “white devil” in them; her opinion of black men marrying white women; inter-racial adoption; why black American fathers abandon their children at such an alarming rate; why black Americans are more than 6X as likely to murder a white American than the other way around. I have a lot of questions for BO & MO and how they will unite all Americans when they seem to believe the majority are “devils” and the lovely couple seem so full of rage and racism despite the wealth, health, and power God has seen fit to bestow upon them and their family. I will pray instead for the Holy Spirit to touch their lives and give them the gift of true grace, and to take away all hatred and dishonesty.

At lease the Kos site doesn’t pretend to be populated by righteous, God fearing people, like most of the commentators here purport to be.
