Then I guess we should get the network news agencies taken off of AFN as well. After all, we don't want to hurt the morale of soldiers abroad of a more conservative persuasion.

I’m curious. Apart from Clark’s idiotic political leanings, what kind of commander was he?

Other than a few anecdotal stories I’ve read here and there, I really haven’t seen much regarding Clark’s command career.

Can anyone point me to some information?

I remember reading an article years ago (about the time of Kosovo starting) about Clark's tenure in Panama. It was pretty shocking reading what he was like as a CO. I wish I could find that again...it was pretty damning. Having run into a few like him over the years, you can understand a guy like that in a position like he was in is pretty dangerous.

The articles I did find (in addition to Arizona Neanderthals):

The Putrid Perfumed Prince.

A Perfumed Prince Gets the Axe by David Hackworth.

Wesley Clark: General Issues by Lowell Ponte at FrontPageMag.

Meet the Real General Clark with comments by some who served with him.

A Letter to Stars and Stripes by Col. George Jatras (Ret.).

I still believe with all of the articles above, the one about his command stint in Panama was the most shocking.

The guy is a self-serving snake.

If it ain’t Clark, then it’s retired AF general Merril Mc Peak. Mc Peak is another idiot supporting Obama. From earlier statements he has made, and noted on this blog, he is borderline anti-semitic, in addition to all the stupid changes he made to the AF just for the sake of change while he was AF Chief of Staff. The man has no sense of history and how things are supposed to work. He just wanted to make a bunch of changes, from uniforms to command structure, so that his imprint would be everywhere.

I agree whole-heartedly about McPeak. His record was simply one of changing stuff that he found icky while he moved up the ranks. He hated wearing a blue army uniform so he changed it to make us all look like bus drivers or Delta pilots. Wanted a new single-seat fighter so he got rid of two types of vital Electronic Warfare aircraft without replacing them. Now the USAF is scambling to find new jammers. Didn't like SAC so he got rid of it. Didn't like navigators so he gutted the career field. I retired from the USAF in 2005 and can see that the service is still trying to dig itself out of the holes that man created.

But every liberal on earth will cart him out to show how wrong Bush and/or how wonderful Obama is.

A NATO ambassador told the International Herald Tribune that Clark's dismissal seemed to be a "political thing from the United States."[82] General Hugh Shelton would say of Clark during his 2004 campaign that "the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote,"[83][84]. Shelton never elaborated further on what these issues were.

I only wonder why no one has brought up the fact that the person criticizing McCain’s record is the same NATO Commander who was fired from that position for being such an inept moron. He didn’t exactly want to retire, he was forced. Of course, they probably also figured out that he’s gay anyway.

Just a point (from a newly retired Navy SCPO)

1. A CPO got a hold of McCain early in his career and "Mr. McCain" was receptive to his mentoring.

2. Nobody got a hold of "Mr. Clark" early in his career, therefore you see the monster that parades himself in front of any camera that is on.
