I remember reading an article years ago (about the time of Kosovo starting) about Clark’s tenure in Panama. It was pretty shocking reading what he was like as a CO. I wish I could find that again…it was pretty damning. Having run into a few like him over the years, you can understand a guy like that in a position like he was in is pretty dangerous.

The guy is a self-serving snake.

I agree whole-heartedly about McPeak. His record was simply one of changing stuff that he found icky while he moved up the ranks. He hated wearing a blue army uniform so he changed it to make us all look like bus drivers or Delta pilots. Wanted a new single-seat fighter so he got rid of two types of vital Electronic Warfare aircraft without replacing them. Now the USAF is scambling to find new jammers. Didn’t like SAC so he got rid of it. Didn’t like navigators so he gutted the career field. I retired from the USAF in 2005 and can see that the service is still trying to dig itself out of the holes that man created.

But every liberal on earth will cart him out to show how wrong Bush and/or how wonderful Obama is.

1. A CPO got a hold of McCain early in his career and “Mr. McCain” was receptive to his mentoring.

2. Nobody got a hold of “Mr. Clark” early in his career, therefore you see the monster that parades himself in front of any camera that is on.

This is not swiftboating because

* everyone admits it’s true

* it’s central to McCain’s campaign that he has military leadership experience — which he does not.

Let me help you with this:

1) Swiftboating is the act of confronting a politician with facts to counter his/her bloviating and resume enhancement.

2) Just because the pol doesn’t admit to the facts (and hides his official records which would clear up the situation one way or the other) means nothing.

3) McCain has never made his military leadership experience central to his campaign (which he certainly could have). He was making the fact that he actually has experience in anything compared to Obambi.

Bobby Jindal would chew up Obama and spit him out, experience and politically speaking.
