I guess I’m wondering why the other folks sat there and watched this happen. Why did they feel they had to wait for security? “Taking the law into one’s own hands” is not necessarily a bad thing. Policing up our own is a product of a self-governing society. What we have here is a weak, emasculated society that watches for entertainment while it waits for the police to show up. These people wouldn’t show such disrespect if they knew their fellow citizens wouldn’t put up with it.

Rights are wonderful benefits, but they come with great responsibity. If we continue to misuse them we will certainly loose them. Unfortunately, the uncivilized like the Code Pinkos haven’t reached that maturity level yet.

Yes, they have a right to free speech, but they should take responsiblity for themselves and leave.

Near the end of the pinko outburst you can hear someone in the crowd shouting, “Shut up and sit down!” so the assembled witnesses did protest the disruption.

I live in Charlottesville, and although there are blue people here - most of them outsiders/Yankees who’ve come to this area only within the past decade or so - there are plenty of Red-blooded residents as well.

Unfortunately, few of them work in the media. Earlier this week local TV news programs were “advertising” the upcoming “protest” in the guise of “news” stories, complete with encouragements for people to participate. A token Republican was interviewed, and he made the very pertinent point that the day at Monticello is not about President Bush (or any other president), but about the new citizens and their naturalization ceremony.

It’s always been a wonderful day “on the mountain” and I’m really ticked off about this desecration.

Civil responsibility in cases like this is mandatory. New citizens want to fit in, in many cases they are looking to us to show them the American way. That’s precisely why we must stand and deliver whenever these loons show their faces. We must lead by example and that means not sitting there patiently waiting for security. Stand up, confront them, tell them what you think loud and clear our new citizens most of them anyway, will see our reactions and follow suit. They want to know, how does an American react to this, it’s important to send the right message. We don’t want them coming to believe that sitting there quietly and tolerating someone infringing on their rights is the right thing to do. These people are bullies and you know what we do with bullies. Of course they are cowardly bullies that have become used to us sitting there doing nothing, when confronted they inevitably call for help from, yep, the same people they are complaining about. I’m not above running them off as a matter of fact its fun. Make sure they understand what we Americans are made of, after all they have gone through they deserve it.

    Enough. Is. Enough.

These new Americans should be taught the “nanana-na” song so they know what to do the next time someone gets escorted away. New citizens, welcome to America, with its warts and all.

Sounds to me like we tolerate this quite a bit, so they might as well stay here and keep doing what they’re doing. What’s to stop them? Booing and yelling “shut up and sit down” is pretty weak. The Code Pink folks accomplished their public relations goals today. They got their faces on TV and continued the media’s storyline of “Protests continued today…” Unless we, as a citizenry, stop this, then what truly is the lesson for these new citizens to learn? If some fool runs out on your kids soccer field or baseball diamond in the middle of the game, what should you do? If you are a Dad, what would your kids think if you just sat there dialing the police on your phone or yelling, “Sit down and shut up”? When we just sit back and watch these fools desecrate something we value as a society, then really, do we value said things?

Michael Savage has a book out called “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.” Rush Limbaugh has said similar things.
Ronald Reagan also said that “[C]ommunism is neither an economic nor a political system — it is a form of insanity — a temporary aberration which will one day disappear from the earth because it is contrary to human nature. I wonder how much more misery it will cause before it disappears.”

To me they almost act like an autistic person. If you do something different than what they expect they just can’t handle it and react. I do believe that some of the code pinkos probably do have some of mental illness. It possibly stems from the fact they they believe in “feelings” and BDS.

One of them looked like she was shouted down and sat down in a huff.

The Left has no shame. they have no common sense, nor anything that even resembles common decency.

I think it is far beynd time when regular people react to them in ways that only they can understand and respect. Yes, I do mean that we begin to fight fire with fire.

They need to be taught a serious lesson, and take away the “Badge of Honor” that they feel being arrested for such things as this is. No more just giving them a slap on the wrist. These animals, and I say that in such a way so as I do not disrespect the good animals, like my Golden Retriever Liberty, need to be punished not just figuratively, but punitively. They need to be hit in everyway possible: monetarily with severe fines, physically with extensive jal sentances starting with a year behind bars and working from there for subsequent offenses, loss of jobs, loss of Government benefits should they not have jobs…like most of them do not, etc.

Make it far more uncomfortable and embarrassing and inconvinient for them than it is for those they offend and interrupt.

I am not removing their right to Free Speech, but I recommend that people actually read the ENTIRE Ammendment and use
it acordingly, for your right to Free Speech STOPS the minute my rights are infringed. And i would definately argue that President bush and all those in attendance DEFINATELY had their rights infringed with this spectacle of stupidity.

I agree that there needs to be some recourse against such bad behavior, but why wait for the government to do it? Are we not a self-regulating society? Can we not establish codes of behavior and enforce them on our own? Through shame, absolutely, but also through a few rough men hauling these folks off, away from the situation. I don’t like the idea of “Big Daddy Government” getting involved when we’re perfectly capable of handling this ourselves. Why involve the teacher when the kids can handle it? You’re right, free speech implies responsibility, but this responsibility does not only apply to the person speaking, but also the us, as citizens, to enforce our codes of behavior. Otherwise, how can we, as citizens, say that someone has acted inappropriately if no one acts to stop it? The only reason these protesters seem wrong in what they did is because, BE (before emasculation) rough men, like I say, wouldn’t have thought twice about hauling these folks off. We still have that memory. We should make it a reality once again or lose our very society as these memories fade.

The likes of Code Pink take advantage of the fact that events like the naturalization ceremony are really celebrations of America and most of the people in attendance are focused on the event. In addition, Code Pink is organized enough to plan a disruption ahead of time so they have the advantage of surprise. (They would never knowingly let attendees have advanced notice as that just might trigger a real counter-reaction involving violence.) As was the case with the black woman who abused folks in Denver by singing the black national anthem, surprise is their friend because the great majority of people don’t expect to be abused.

It is important to note here that the price of Code Pink’s abuse is probably a ticket for creating a nuisance. If violence had broken out, then the price of abuse would be inciting a riot - and possibly a civil suit in the event of injury. The only way abusive liberals are going to be stopped is to up the ante. Most unfortunate, but that is the reality.

The silent majority is not silent any longer and as you can see by their reactions they don’t like it. They can’t handle the bill of rights unless they are the only ones protected by them. HaHaHaHaHa. We have in the past stayed silent and these rats have been allowed to brownshirt their way without worry. That’s why dakine is pissed he wants us to shut up, go back to the way it was. Well there is a wave building in America and it is going to crash down on their heads so fast they won’t know what hit em. All that is needed for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. Edmund Burke. Lets keep doing something as we are and we will prevail, there is no doubt, at least in my mind. I’m not against vigilantism altogether but why waste it on these pathetic loons? The founding fathers gave us all the ammo we need, another, HaHaHaHaHa.

If this were a single incident, without any historical or societal context, I’d agree with you. Sure, these people acted like idiots, but what concerns me moreover their behavior was the behavior of the “good” citizens who sat there all quiet when this happened. What attitude does this convey? What does this teach new citizens, or any citizen with a weak moral compass? By sitting idly while people do this, we implicitly respect the infringement of one’s rights by another. We saw that nothing in this society is sacred to the rest of society, or else someone would have acted. We saw that there is no real respect for law in this land (as shown in other areas like illegal immigration, judicial activism, subversive acts in Berkeley, Tacoma and other places, etc.) Sitting idly by in the face of injustice only encourages similar and more extreme future behavior. We need more Jim Brossards, Rick Mondays and Joe Horns to step up in this country.

At least if you’re going to protest, come up with something unique; but, then again, that’s an oxymoron. Dumb protester, something unique. At least, don’t go charging the President’s stage, unless you have a death wish or a desire to be a brief, then forgotten, martyr to a few of your buddies. It’s quite apparent these people have nothing else to do except “feel important” to a few other worthless people. Probably have degrees in “basket weaving” or some equivalent.

I welcome them charging the stage the President is speaking from. Unfortunately, the Secret Service Snipre, the one that HAD to have had this freak in his crosshairs decided that he would let her live, for some reason.

In the future, I hope that he got his butt chewed out for allowing her to get as close as she did and the next time one of them does this, they are removed from the gene pool with great prejudice.

After all, how many times will they do this before one of them decides to actually act on the very thing they have been calling for from the peanut galleries? Is it really worth the noise to guarantee they never do stupid things like that again?

Personally, I think the Secret Service failed to protect the President. If you ask me, rushing the stage is most definately a “furtive” move…especially considering the mental state of those doing the rushing.

Those people are, for lack of a better word, completely insane.

They really believe Thomas Jefferson would be standing behind them patting them on the back for disrupting a naturalization ceremony on the 4th of July. They really believe Jefferson would support their protests and demands for government nationalization of services and a tax code that punishes achievers.

Before the insanity of the 60’s took hold, those people would be pitied because they are obviously not well. They would be pitied but they would not be given a platform and if they attempted to seize a public event for their craziness, they would have been immediately removed. We do not owe them tolerance.

That may well be true for whatever Red stronghold you live in but some of us actually live in areas were the pinkos and the obamaniacs are very active and very loud. Our local 4th of July parade was ruined by Code Pink and Obama supporters taking over the street and shrieking obscenities about this “evil, fascist, nation.” Until people stand up and push them back, they actually start to believe they have a “Constitutional right” to act like savages and ruin public events.

Try living in a leftist stronghold with those maniacs and get back to me on how insignificant they are. Initially, they were the fringe but passive acceptance of their tactics by the majority have encouraged more people to stand right along side them.
